Reports sensitivity near power infrastructure, computers and wireless equipment in healthcare workplaces,…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have been moderately sensitive to EMFs and RF for many years. I first became conscious of this on moving out of my parents' house which was situated near a 275KV electric pylon. I moved six miles away but on returning at the weekends etc., I noticed an unhealthy influence in their house. Later, in the 2000s, I noticed feeling ill when using computers. Later, while working as a healthcare assistant in hospitals and nursing homes, I started to notice feeling unwell when near to WiFi modem/routers and DECT telephones. I am involved in public understanding of science work, including presenting talks and workshops about radio technology and associated health effects. The problem of sensitivity to these influences is much greater than most people recognise. However, when one starts to directly ask people if they are affected, many do recount their own stories of health problems. In my educational work in the U.K. and Ireland, I notice a distinct unwillingness for educational and health authorities to attempt to educate the public about reducing exposure to radio frequency radiation. The attitude appears to be that any such education would indicate an admission from those authorities that there are real health problems involved. The situation as it stands is that the levels of radiation keep on rising, with none of the authorities taking any responsibility to moderate behaviours. With kind regards Malin Starrett

Reports symptoms following workplace and home wireless installations, miscarriages and gastrointestinal p…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have always worked in an office using PC's and then Laptops. I think my intolerance/symptoms to RF/EMF began when a Mobile phone signal booster was installed a few feet above my desk in an open plan office, but I didn't realise until a few years later. Around the same time, we had high power Fibre Optic Wi-Fi installed at home (we previously had no Wi-Fi at home). We also had boosters around the house using the electric wiring. Within weeks of the Wi-Fi installation I noticed I had Tinnitus (when at home only). I also noticed all my family seemed vaguely unwell, nothing serious just like a low-level virus that never cleared up, I didn't relate this to the Wi-Fi until my mother had the same system installed at her house a year or so later. She started getting horrible headaches and felt constantly under the weather. We both started to feel a burning/ringing on the left side of our head (around the ear). I began to notice if I worked in an office with 20/30 people in it and various Wi-Fi routers my head started to tingle (like little electric shocks across it) and these carried on after I went home, then would go away overnight. During this time, I started to suffer with bouts of uncontrollable anxiety (I had never had anxiety before) and feelings of impending doom. I had 3 miscarriages and irregular painful periods. I developed IBS, now if I turn my mobile phone on to Data or my laptop on in the morning, I suddenly need to go to the toilet, this doesn't happen on days I don't use my phone/laptop. I can still use my laptop for work but use plastic fibre optic connectors, I cannot just use ethernet cables. I still get tingly fingers where I hold the mouse and if I work for too long or watch videos, I start to feel nausea (like motion sickness). We no longer have Wi-Fi at home and have been able to convince my employers that I need to work from home. If I spend too long in the shops or in a pub, I start to feel very uneasy, with a tight chest and palpitations, my skin starts to go very red and feels like it's on fire. When home I unable to sleep for hours no matter how tired I am and my legs won't stop jumping. Sometimes I then vomit the next morning. It’s a pretty grim existence for both me and my family, very few people believe it’s real. But I’m not the sort of person who enjoys being ill or wants attention, I just want to be normal again. To go out and to go on holiday's again. Thanks for reading.

A former middle-school teacher reports symptoms during classroom exposure and questions whether radiation…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
As a science teacher in a middle school building, my body was continuously bombarded by RF (microwave) radiation from the 25 lap tops, wifi router, all the cell phones, blue tooth, and other wireless devices for many hours daily. No one was checking the cumulative amounts of the radiation over long periods of time. No one tells you about the harm; the non-thermal effects of the radiation. I would get blurry vision, headaches, body aches, heart palipatations... the wireless printer was directly behind my desk chair. When I sat at my computer my head and neck were only one foot away. In 2014 my carotid artery dissected and I was diagnosed with some rare connective tissue disorder. Maybe the radiation contributed to or exacerbated the condition. I left my job because I can not control the amount of radiation I am exposed to in the school building environment. In my house, I can choose to use hard wired connections, turn off wifi and other sources. Unfortunately, our government does not protect its citizens from the toxic bombardment of RF radiation. We are forced to have smart meters on our homes, and you allow tech companies to install cell towers and 5G antennas in our right-of-ways. I can also pick up the wi-fi routers of all of my neighbors and have no control over that. We need setbacks of at least 500 meters. We need to be able to opt out of smart meters and have analog meters re-installed. Companies need to use the lowest possible amount of radiation, not pump out massive dosages for better service. Please put better protective regulations in place! Sincerely, Margaret Lynch

The commenter reports severe illness beginning around telecommunications equipment, rural relocation and …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Re: HHS-OASH-2026-0397 Questions 2, 3, 9, 13, 15 and 18 I am submitting as an individual with firsthand experience of adverse health effects I believe are strongly and reproducibly associated with RF/EMF exposure. My background includes doctoral-level training in a health science and professional experience in telecommunications research and development. My symptoms began after I started working around RF/EMF-emitting telecommunications equipment. Previously healthy and athletic, I developed shingles, musculoskeletal pain, sleep disturbance, urinary frequency, recumbent pressure-related pain and metal sensitivity. About three years later I moved from a rural area into a newly built suburban home and my health declined dramatically. I developed chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, heat intolerance, tinnitus, profound fatigue, brain fog and severe insomnia. My resting heart rate rose from about 70 to 90, yet during exercise sometimes failed to rise appropriately, leaving me dizzy and winded. Eventually I could no longer continue school or work. Extensive medical evaluation, conflicting diagnoses and tens of thousands of dollars did not restore my health. For nine years I spent nearly every waking moment trying to regain my health and my life. RF/EMF was initially only one possible stressor I investigated among many. I obtained several RF/EMF meters, mapped sources in my home, turned off Wi-Fi and a cordless phone, and discovered exposures I had not known were present. My efforts culminated in a move to a remote property chosen partly because it had little or no cellular service. Other environmental factors changed too, so this was not a controlled experiment. Over the following years I progressively recovered and became far more tolerant of heat, foods, chemicals and ordinary stresses, although city trips could still trigger relapses. Years later the wireless environment around my rural home changed. Cellular service became detectable where previously there had been essentially none. A new cell tower went up, my fixed wireless internet provider changed equipment, and a neighbor installed Starlink. My previous syndrome returned severely. My heart rate and blood pressure increased by just under 30%. I developed rhythm disturbances, brain fog, tinnitus and profound insomnia. At one point I was unable to sleep for eleven consecutive days and was taken to the emergency room. I built an RF-shielding enclosure and confirmed with an RF meter that RF readings inside were substantially reduced. I repeatedly observed my systolic blood pressure fall from around 140 toward my baseline of about 110 under reduced-exposure/shielded conditions. These are personal observations, not a controlled study, but sufficiently repeatable that I no longer regard RF/EMF as hypothetical. To this day I sleep without heat or electricity through snowy winters because that low-exposure environment allows me to sleep. This year, after recent work on the nearby tower, I began experiencing pressure, discomfort and visual changes in the eye and surrounding region on the side of my head nearest the directional antenna serving my rural internet connection. Those symptoms abate with shielding that my meter confirms reduces RF levels. HHS should investigate long-term cumulative RF/EMF exposure, short-duration peak exposures, and factors that may alter individual susceptibility, including heavy-metal burden. Biological effects can depend on intensity, duration, repetition, recovery and repair. Policy should not assume repeated exposures are independent or that cumulative exposure is irrelevant. Long averaging periods can hide important peaks. Average the energy delivered by a bullet over thirty minutes and its average power looks trivial, while the real-world millisecond impact can be deadly. The body experiences exposure as it occurs, not as an arithmetic average. Standards must address both cumulative dose and instantaneous peak exposure. People are simultaneously exposed to cell towers, Wi-Fi, satellite systems, fixed wireless internet, smart meters, Bluetooth, smart appliances and personal devices. Who measures aggregate exposure where a person sleeps and works? Who is responsible when independently regulated sources combine? Consumers need a practical right to know. One night, seeking somewhere relatively RF-free, I stopped beneath what I only later realized was a camouflaged cell tower. Camouflaged towers should be clearly labeled wherever people pass nearby. Wireless devices should have an obvious indicator showing when transmitting at low, medium or high power. I cannot tell HHS which transmitters, or combination of transmitters, were responsible for what I experienced. That is precisely the problem. RF exposure has become ubiquitous, dynamic and largely invisible. Policy must measure and disclose cumulative exposure and give individuals the information needed to reduce avoidable exposure.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. When we have our home wireless internet on all night, I don't sleep well. My sleep is fractured and I wake not feeling rested. What is going on? I can turn off my wi-fi at night, but during the day at work, I'm exposed constantly. What will be long-term effects on my health of such exposure? Your administration can be the first to conduct research into this question and inform people of the findings. If it turns out that this technology is harmful, this doesn't mean that we can't use the technology - it only means probably limiting its use (perhaps especially around children) and giving people proper informed consent, as we currently do with tobacco products or alcohol - they're available for the adults who want them, and people have been informed of the risks. Right now, we're all flying blindly and sharing anecdotes. Thank you for looking into this issue.

I am a targeted individual since 2000. I have been constantly attacked with havana like syndrom and v2k horassment and torture which has affected my mental and pysical health. I have also reported this to intelegence agencies, law inforcement, press, military, members of congress and a few pressidents etc. Only to be mostly ignored, blocked or sugested i can talk to medical athoritys. This the voice trans missions have used sleep depravation torture to where i coulden function at times and has got me hurt at work to where i had to go to the emergencie room. I am a member of Pacts international and have contact with targeted justice. I pray someone stops these vishis attacks. Cincerily james Bishop 2896 mockingbird dr.sierra vista az. 85635

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am writing regarding the FCC’s response to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals’ remand concerning its decades-old radiofrequency (RF) radiation exposure guidelines. The Court directed the FCC to provide a reasoned explanation for its determination that its guidelines adequately protect humans against harmful effects of RF radiation unrelated to cancer. Specifically, the court required the FCC to address the impacts of RF radiation on children, the health implications of long-term exposure, the ubiquity of wireless devices and technological developments, impacts on the environment, and the adequacy of the FCC’s testing procedures for cell phones and other portable devices. The FCC should fully consider evidence and real-world experiences concerning the health and environmental impacts of wireless radiation, including non-cancer health effects, impacts on children, long-term and cumulative exposure, cancer, and impacts on wildlife and the environment. Here is just one study I believe the FCC should review when addressing the concerns about wireless radiation: * Panagopoulos et al. (2021):Human-made electromagnetic fields: Ion forced-oscillation and voltage-gated ion channel dysfunction, oxidative stress and DNA damage – Reviewed evidence and proposed mechanisms linking human-made electromagnetic fields to oxidative stress, DNA damage, and cellular dysfunction. https://www.spandidos-publications.com/10.3892/ijo.2021.5272 The FCC is not a health agency and does not have expertise in medicine, biology or public health. Yet, the agency continues to assert authority over RF exposure standards and is preparing to reach conclusions about whether its existing guidelines adequately protect the public. I urge the FCC to recognize the critical role of federal health agencies, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and to rely on appropriate health and biological expertise when addressing the issues identified by the court. This issue matters to me personally because: I have been aware of negative effects of electromagnetic fields and wireless radiation for over a decade. As an engineer in the automotive industry, I worked in an office where within an hour of my arrival, I developed headaches, brain fog, sinus congestion, dizziness and nausea. People who came into my office for meetings would also develop similar symptoms. I quickly realized that something environmental was having an impact so I called Plant Engineering and asked them to come and measure the electromagnetic fields and radiation in the office. While the engineer determined that the readings were within OSHA guidelines, he explained they were high and due to a power closet next door a bank of backup batteries under the floor and an abundance of wireless routers in the area. I went to my Director, presented the information and asked to move to another office where the Plant Engineer verified the measurements were near zero. Once I moved offices, my symptoms disappeared. Since then, I am as careful as I can be about exposing myself to these invisible and invasive pollutants. I had to purchase a phone case with radiation protection to mitigate cell phone radiation that caused my hand to numb and tingle. Also, I had a substantial decline in my health since the rollout of 5G. I experienced a rapid increase in the frequency of migraines, respiratory illness, brain fog, and insomnia. I have seen a rapid increase in mold on food and outdoor plants and in my home. My research has indicated these are all side effects of cell tower and other radiation. I have done things in my home and with my health care regimen to offset this at great expense. I am very concerned about the unfettered rollout and long term consequences to not only human health but health of the planet. I urge the FCC to give meaningful consideration to the experiences and evidence before it and to fully address each of the issues identified by the court.

Tingling in my hands started every time I would pick up my phone. Each time my phone would reach my ears, I would have tingling in my temple. The wifi in the house and at work causes so much brain fog and pressure like symptoms in my head. To mitigate these issues I try to stay off of my phone, use speaker phone or wired head phones when talking and shutting off the wifi as much as possible at home. At work, there has been nothing I can do to mitigate the issues.

This is a second person account, but the person in reference is dead so he cannot speak for himself. I and concerned neighbors picketed a church for two years, because of a proposed cell tower on church property, that would materially impact our neighborhood because of it close proximity to our homes. One Sunday morning Jerry, a local coach and teacher approx 50 years old (and his 12 year old son) approached me on the the picket line and asked me if I felt the WIFI in his classroom and the headset and phone he constantly had next to his head when coaching could have caused the Gioblastoma he had in his brain. I was not versed in what teachers are subject to in our district, nor did I know enough to give Jerry any kind of appropriate answer, I gave Jerry some websites to go to and felt badly that I at the time was not educated enough to give Jerry some answers. He was concerned that the WIFI and Headset and close phone usage may have caused this. Jerry Died in 2024 of geoblastoma at the age of 50 leaving a young family. I am no expert, but is a teacher standing between the WIFI and 25 laptops and probably 25 phones eminating signal a problem. That is something teachers should be concerned about. I knew nothing about this in 2022. Jerry is prematurely dead, when are we going to start really looking at this. A data base of to be able to see these complaints and possible causes would be a great tool and a great start to pinpointing world wide proximitey, assumed cause, outcome. It sickens me to see the Jerry's of the world simply forgotten for something no one told them was a concern.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My 22 year old son had a job this summer where he used an iPad for 12+ hours/day. He often held the iPad on his lap. After about 6 weeks he noticed a dull, constant pain in his testicles. He moved the iPad to a new spot and the pain improved. After the summer he saw our chiropractor who shared that he notices a lot of issues like this - especially a link to EMFs impacting hormones. I hypothesize that EMFs directly impact hormone function. (...Particularly based on the dramatic increase of perimenopause diagnoses at younger ages.) I also wonder if the chemicals released in the sky work to advance EMF's potency.
