Smart meters

We don’t know enough about the harm of our technology and we must be better informed as we roll out our digital future at a break neck pace. Certainly people should have the right to opt out for free from smart meters. We may live in a capitalistic society but after all this is supposed to be a democracy for the people who you serve as public servants- not corporations and billionaires and energy companies. Please do your due diligence in fully studying the impact on human health and environment from wifi, cell towers, cell signals, smart meters , data centers, etc. Thank you

In July 2023, I was admitted to ER and overnight to the hospital for heart issues. Then spent two days having Multiple tests were run with no conclusive evidence of any heart Trouble! I was sent home and had my two smart meters on my property removed and then a month later ended up wearing a heart monitor for three weeks journaled everything and recorded every time my heart acted up and what I was doing and discovered I could not spend more than 45 minutes at a time on my wireless laptop without giving me palpitations and creating arrhythmia and chest pain pains! It was quite an eye opener. Of course, the journal entries were highly edited and showed NO correlation!?! Three months later, I saw the top southern Oregon cardiologist. Except for some unusual EKGs and all the rest of the tests were inconclusive, the Doctor asked me, what I thought the issue was - so I shared, that I felt the cause of my cardiac issues was EMF exposure. His comment and I quote “I’m not ‘allowed’ to discuss that with patients.”. I asked him why, and he would not explain the censorship. (I was shocked!) Although he did say that “ I would never use my cell phone next to my brain because I don’t want brain cancer.” AND he does not carry it in his hip pocket next to “his boys” because he doesn’t want prostate cancer! So obviously, he believes that EMF is causing cancers, but he’s not allowed to talk about cardiac problems!?! Prior to my experience, my husband has had cardiac problems ever since smart meters were attached to our home. Once they were removed here in Oregon he no longer has cardiac issues! September 20, 2026 I travel to Oroville, California and was in town less than 24 hours before I had to leave because I started having cardiac issues; palpitations, arrhythmia, shortness of breath and chest pains, so once again EMF is the culprit because I was in a large city with lots of EMF and undoubtedly 5G. Once out away from the city symptoms reduced enough for me to travel home! LIVESTOCK AND PETS All our farm animals have also been exposed to long-term EMF. Once the smart meters were installed in 2015 the 80 lb mixed breed dog developed systemic lupus, and inflammation all over her body so she could barely walk and she was only two years old. The older second 45 lb dog, became aggressive and developed fatty tumors on her body. Now in Oregon two puppies we adopted, both have severe allergies and something is accentuating unknown congenital disorders. The 17 year-old Horse developed melanoma cancer all over his body. Tumors are so large it’s impeding his movements. The 13-year-old wild Mustang developed diabetes and is developing tumors. None of this is not normal nor is it coincidental. The water has been tested at both residential locations. Their feed has been tested and of course, none of them eat the same thing, so it’s not the feed or water. I believe it’s long-term exposure to the EMF. Our cattle also have congenital health issues here. The bull died of unexplained issues and he was a little over two years old. Since removing the smart meter that was attached to their Barn, we have no longer had detectable health issues. THE INSIDE CAT - weight 10 lbs Would have tremors all day long before we remove the smart meters. ONE DAY I WATCHED A TREMOR COMPLETELY, KNOCK HER OFF THE COUCH AND SHE HIT THE FLOOR WITH A HUGE CRY OF SHOCK AND PAIN! Once the first meter was removed, WITHIN 48 HOURS, THE TREMORS BEGAN TO REDUCE DAILY IN SEVERITY AND NUMBER!! TWO WEEKS AFTER BOTH METERS WERE REMOVED SHE NO LONGER HAD TREMORS!!! I know this is all observational and empirical data, but all the biological symptoms, whether it was human or animal, have reduced or completely dissipated with the removal of the smart meters and our constant management of wireless devices; being turned off when not in use or kept away from all of us. Not being able to travel to large towns or cities to visit family and friends because of the impacts has gotten ridiculous. The effects are real. I had a journal that documents it. I had tests that show the periods. My prayer is that the FCC will finally listen to the American people and understand the effects are real, and you’re supposed to protect AMERICANS from this industry you’re regulating. The broadband infrastructure that was supposed to connect us to the rest of the US, never made it to our neighborhood thus, I’m stuck using wireless technology. I beg you, please give meaningful consideration to the experiences and evidence that the public is providing and fully address each issues identified by the court. We cannot continue to live this way. There is so much new research that has been done around the world, documenting what’s happening. I hope that you will finally look at the new data, especially “Bio initiative 2012” and “Updated research summaries from May 2022” Thank you for this opportunity to comment.

I am currently experiencing symptoms from smart meters that were put on homes . There is a constant loud ringing and pressure that is low frequency. I have reported this last year to the government but nothing was done. It causes sleep disturbance insomnia irritability and anger. Delusions and symptoms that mimick alzheimers. Psychosis headache and tinnitus. Personality changes. The can control the intensity and the amount of emf and power. The can turn up the gas pressure and if there is a small leak they will turn it up so high that it will seep out and fill your house with gas and carbon monoxide and nobody will never know. These meters should be against the law. They are controlling people house with these things.

MY NEIGHBORS AND ANIMALS ARE DYING I am SICK. My family members have been SICK SINCE more than a hundred UNREGULATED TOWERS WENT LIVE over our community. This has been a challenge for me to get anyone to help in my community. I wanted to share my story in hopes of helping others. My story is one of many in Terrebonne Parish. After multiple (9) 300-foot 5G towers were put over our homes, four 300-foot 5G towers were put over my home and animal sanctuary, and four 300-foot towers were put over my office. At the same time, smart meters were put on my home, along with those of every other Entergy customer. I began getting sick, very sick. It began in my petting area with heart palpitations, headaches, vomiting, ringing in my ears, confusion, bleeding gums, insomnia, nightmares, dizziness, anxiety, ears buzzing 24 hours a day, severe fatigue, muscle weakness, and more. I have now been diagnosed with radiation syndrome / EHS (electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome) caused by extreme exposure to radiation. Many residents are experiencing similar symptoms. Countless children are now suffering. Being a very healthy person my whole life, this has been a life-changing situation. I am usually the one helping others; now I need your help. I never thought this could happen until I was forced to face it by becoming sick. I'm not sure where this illness will take me. However, I must do all I can to protect my family and my community. Seven neighbors on my street and friends have died after the towers went live over their homes. Many other residents are also sick. My community is surrounded by towers that have no regulatory testing information, nor does our planning department ask for it, citing the FCC's outdated RF radiation guidelines. I became certified in RF radiation testing. I now test the towers and smart meters. I can confirm that the EMF (electromagnetic frequency) / RF (radio frequency) radiation being emitted is extreme for every single product, tower, and smart device I have tested. It has been a fight to protect my family, my community, and myself, with EVERYONE CITING THE FCC'S OUTDATED RF RADIATION GUIDELINES. I had to learn all I could about this to protect my health and theirs. I've had to turn my home, where I have lived for 28 years, into an EMF-safe house (until I sell it), as well as my barn, which is surrounded by EMF material and protection. My bed is covered with EMF protection as well due to the radiation levels in my home. I now have to wear protective clothing all day. Leaving my safe area means becoming exposed due to the unbridled towers around me. I am a very private person. This is not easy to share, but if I do not ask for help now, many more innocent people will be sick, or they will die like my neighbors, my friends, and my animals. Since the towers went live, six of my horses have died instantly under the towers. All of my little animals have died. My 200-pound tortoises started going blind. I'm not sure where the daily radiation exposure will take me, so I thought now is the best time to ask for your help in making a change. The radiation from wireless devices and my smart meter makes have migraines and headaches. There are many others who have the same symptoms and it causes anxiety and distress may even potential cause cancer with long term use…please consider the voice of the people being harmed.

My history with this issue began September 2006 when National Grid came to my home and replaced our analog meter without our knowledge or consent with a digital smart meter. I immediately heard something that interfered with my sleeping. I never heard this before. I bought my home in 1999. There was never a problem with hearing a continual noise that never stops. Symptoms followed such as headaches and migraines of which no reoccurring history. I also had nose bleeds, nausea, muscle spasms, fatigue, to name the worst of them. I called the DPU, DPH, DEP, EPA, verizon and national grid hired noise experts electricians, power quality studies in my home with a dranetz. SPL octave band studies for pure tones. Learned in 1990 Barbara Kwetz signed into law pure tone regulations for MA. But to no avail. Our experts were not equipped to provide us with help or had conflict of interest. When the first generation of smart meters were rolled out the costumers of utilities and safe to say most of population were ignorant of what the impact of smart grid technology ie., radio frequency radiation pollution would negatively have on us when exposed. There is no escaping it where this technology is turned. The state did not complete a single test that would identify the problem and mitigate. It was a clown show. They also ignored an affidavit from arlo Guthrie who is a forensic sound engineer who identified pure tones are the source of the grid and telecommunications layer of grid. The agencies never reached out to speak with him. The testing the state planned, for a couple years allowed national grid to test at or property without hiring a disinterested party to watch the wolves in the hen house. National Grid left an SPL meter over night in our home and another outside and both had glitches and produced zero data to complete the testing protocol. Several demand letters later in 2012 in July we finally got our analog meter back. I felt better immediately and the severe symptoms have not come back since removing the digital meter. One thing I predicted would not be mitigated; that being the noise. The pulsed RF signals are causing interference on the uninsulated exposed wires so it is broadcasting 24/7 even during a power outage because of the back up batteries. We are being charged $26.00 a month to have a reader come out to read the meter! This has to be illegal because it is our right to be protected not abused for wanting safety and our health protected.

From Copenhagen, Denmark. Right now I don’t feel the radiation but I’m aware of it’s danger. Perhaps it’s just a question of time before my body tilts. I switch off my internet at night and when I don’t use it and I keep my phone in a protective cover and never wears it on my body. Ther are many more ways to protect yourself, but they are very pricy. I have several 5G towers close to were I live and when I look at them I’m thinking of how much radiation they send into my body. Next year I think we are going to have smartmeters installed, but I will do what I can to prevent it.

I’m very concerned about wireless radiation and all of the radiation from “smart” devices. Even if I hard wire. Y home and turn off what I can in my home there are still multiple WiFi systems from my neighbors affecting us. There needs to be much more oversight and regulation of EMF a push to move to hard wiring and limiting the use of “smart” meters by utility companies.

I am an ordinary citizen who has been harmed by EMF radio since 2014 when a smart meter was attached to my house. I suffer from tinnitus because of it and the power company refused to uninstall it. EMF radiation is known to cause this condition. I ask that the harms of EMF radiation be independently studied because I know that it can cause many other health issues.
