Neurological symptoms & sleep

I have multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic neurological disease, and I am concerned about the potential long-term effects of everyday environmental exposures on human health. I believe it is important that potential risks from mobile phone and Wi-Fi radiation be investigated independently, transparently, and rigorously, particularly with regard to people living with chronic and neurological conditions.

I, Chad Ryan, am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient, parent, concerned member of the public. From terrible insomnia, gut imbalances, exacerbated mold issues both in the house and in the body, terrible tinnitus, to hearing EMF pulses through my implant tooth made of a titanium rod and a multi-metal crown lattice (I.e. an antenna!), the horrific quantity of EMF is overwhelming. I was in tech from 1996-2012 when I quit Microsoft due to EMF from computers, wifi, and cellular. First effects of sweaty hands, brain fog, energy drain started as early as 2000 and only got worse with time. I quit tech in 2003 for health reasons, but felt forced for financial reasons to return in 2004 until I officially quit and moved to small town California to escape EMF (outskirts of Grass Valley where the nearest cell tower was over a mile away). Note battles continue to today 2026 to keep cell towers off a elementary school and people's homes <1 mile of my house. After much research and trial and error I removed wifi completely from my house and felt immediate relief. I then had to clean up the dirty sine wave electricity coming to my house and generated by my own electronics using Stetzerizer electrical filters. I got my EMF sampling down to -62 decibels steady. Urban settings are around -42 decibels. A cell phone can pulse to -10 decibels within 3 feet. I found peace finally in my rural setting, but suffered every-time I went to town, stayed at a hotel/motel, on took a plane where everyone now uses wifi in a metal cage (the plane) which keeps all the wifi contained and absorb by the human body, and we wonder why traveling in cars or planes is so tiring now? It didn't used to be that way! Did you know that microwaves are pure sine waves called carrier waves that is, until you add the data onto them that create all kinds of bumps and eddies on the wave? If you study dirty electricity how pure sine waves become jagged and distorted by machines and electronics converting AC to DC, causing erratic magnetic fields that to the body are irritating and hard to balance, not to mention oxidative damage (stress)? Well same with microwaves with data added on them. Not to mention microwaves especially 2.4mHz that literally shakes water molecules violently in a microwave causing heat and splits DNA strand? Those microwaves can carry those erratic waves directly to every cell in your body! You are made of 72% water! Did you know that stem cell differentiation in bone marrow actually uses the frequency range that includes 2.4mHz to determine if the stem cell becomes blood, muscle, or nerve? Leukemia cancer, common near cell towers like the San Fransisco tower, is a cell differentiation problem! Why is that not talked about? I can go on, but clearly the ridiculous notion that heat is the only problem caused by our use of EMF waves must be overcome. When china--who has very little concern for its individual inhabitants--has a 10x better (more stringent) standard for EMF exposure than the United States, clearly industry has captured yet another so called regulatory agency in the FCC. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children (cranial bone thinness) and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. My wife's experiences with RF/EMF and consequences for her health and quality of life My wife's electrical hypersensitivity began after a tough amalgam removal in 1980 granted by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, paragraph 8, due to oral galvanism. A brass screw in a root-filled cracked tooth reacted with amalgam fillings that first turned black and then began to dissolve. Referral to the Academic University Hospital in Uppsala where elevated mercury levels were found. After the sick leave period when she returned to her job as a teacher, she reacted to fluorescent light fixtures with tingling in her skin. The municipality electrically removed her schoolroom; fluorescent light fixtures were replaced with incandescent light. Dimmers were removed. She was able to continue her job part-time due to chronic fatigue. The computers were moved into a special room and she was referred to Arbetslivstjänster for testing of electrically removed computers. Then mobile phones came in and she had such serious symptoms that she could no longer stay at school. She was completely on sick leave and later received sickness benefit, diagnosed with ICI -10 T78 anaphylactic shock/perceived electrical hypersensitivity. A 3G mast gets a building permit 200 m from our house. Despite the municipality's knowledge of her problem and our electrically renovated home, they claimed that she would be able to handle it. We moved to a secluded farm in another municipality. After a year in our new home in the countryside, the municipality sets up a two-transmitter WiMAX to offer wireless broadband throughout the municipality. For 3 days, my wife and 6 other electro sensitive people have to quickly flee their homes. Her symptoms were air hunger, heart problems, swollen and red face, tingling throughout the body. Certificate from the district doctor. Escapes to the forest, lives in a caravan. Must start with heart medication. Can move home after 1.5 years of living in a caravan when the municipality shut down WiMAX. She had not been able to visit our home at all during the time in the caravan. A year later, “smart electricity meters” were installed and she became acutely ill with very high blood pressure (the negative pressure was 122). This time she fled to a renovated caravan in the forest and she could not tolerate any electricity at all for 3 months. She was terribly ill, had tinnitus and other problems and was completely exhausted. There is a medical certificate. When we got the old electricity meter back after 9 months, she was able to move back home. When she visited her health center in November 2017, she became very ill after 10 minutes, again with shortness of breath, heart problems, swelling and tingling and was very ill for 6 months. She learned that the health center had installed Wifi 2G+5G. She contacted the health center and wanted them to come to our house and take tests. The answer was no. “It is not medically justified. You are welcome to the health center, but the WiFi will not be shut down”. Since then, she has had no access to healthcare. After each “bang”, she becomes more and more sensitive to electricity/mobile phones. Now the network owner, where she has her electrically renovated refugee accommodation, has installed a new “smart” electricity meter, even though we have an agreement to keep our old mechanical electricity meter and self-reading. We have hired a lawyer, but are not getting it right. Now we have appealed to the Supreme Court. The electrically renovated refugee accommodation, which cost us 2 million Skr, is completely destroyed for her. It is uninhabitable and she is completely without rights. According to the EU Energy Market Directive, it is possible to keep your old electricity meter if you have problems with the new electricity meters, but Sweden has decided that no exceptions should be allowed. The authorities are even urging network owners to use the Swedish Enforcement Authority against those who refuse to install “smart electricity meters” due to health reasons. If that were to happen to us too, she would have nowhere to go. Once again, she is in the same situation that smart electricity meters are being installed in our house, but now our spare accommodation is uninhabitable. Where will she live? Since 2017, she has not had access to healthcare at the health Centre and hospital due to wireless broadband Wifi, which the healthcare system refuses to turn off. She has needed care in the meantime, referrals are stopped by the hospital director citing a lack of scientific evidence, too expensive to fix and patient safety for other patients is threatened. The answer is always. “You are welcome to healthcare but Wifi will not be shut down”. The hospital technicians believe that it is possible to temporarily shut down Wifi locally without risk to other patients. Now the hospital director has also forbidden the hospital technicians from speaking out about this.

I have had issues with emf/rf/elfs/uhfs mostly wifi and 5g/6g. I noticed I was fatigued, I had eye twitches, (nerve issues) and heart pressure/inflammation. It got 10 times worse after the covid injections. I now have everything hardwired in my home for communications. I got a router that allows you to turn wifi on or off (sometimes need it for a few minutes here and there). I shut my phone data/gps/Bluetooth off unless I need it, then it gets shut off. I've had to purchase silver lined materials to make Faraday cages. I've had to purchase silver lined small blankets. I use shungite to help mitigate the frequencies. There must be a way to put the information on a frequency band that agrees with our system and our cells.

I believe the high voltage towers near me home has affected me and caused sleepless nights, agitation, headaches and also affected my toddler's development. My child has been most affected.

The impact on animals insects, and people are real. They have direct impact on sleep, body regulation. Cancer and chronic illness have risen since WIFI, and Cell Towers.

HELP BRING AWARENESS TO CIVILIANS WITH HAVANA SYNDROME! PLEASE REPOST and tag Sec. Kennedy Open Letter to HHS Sec. Kennedy: Direct CDC to Act on Havana Syndrome in the U.S. Population October 7, 2026 Secretary Kennedy: Did you know that as you are reading this letter, your CDC is arguing in federal court that it has no duty to act on Havana Syndrome in Americans, and that no court can make it? I am a physician who maintains a civilian registry of patients diagnosed with Havana Syndrome, which federal agencies call anomalous health incidents (AHI). In 2025 I petitioned CDC to treat AHI as a civilian public health matter. CDC replied only that the request "falls outside the agency's purview to respond, so did not respond," and forwarded it to the National Institutes of Health. NIH has not responded. In Ber v. CDC, No. 8:26-cv-01822, the government moved on October 5, 2026 to dismiss, arguing that CDC has no legally required duty to act. Think of the optics. Your CDC is telling a federal court that a novel medical condition affecting the U.S. Population, including children, confirmed by expert physician diagnoses and causing severe neurological harm, is not its concern, and it is prepared to defend that position through legal maneuvering. You can fix this in one decisive sweep. You can direct CDC and NIH to: 1. Publish a Havana Syndrome (AHI) case definition in MMWR. 2. Establish a civilian reporting mechanism, as CDC already has for its own employees. 3. Add Havana Syndrome (AHI) to national surveillance. 4. Open an NIH civilian AHI research program with a funding opportunity. 5. Name an HHS Havana Syndrome (AHI) coordinator. None of this needs new legislation or prejudges cause or attribution. These patients are asking to be counted and studied. Your CDC says it has no duty to act; your NIH has not acted. We are fighting this in court, and I respectfully ask you to do your part. I suffered a lot due to EMF’s. This caused quite a few neurological issues and with the continued exposure to EMF’s the number of symptoms continued to grow and worsen. There is not a lot of education on what the exposure does to humans and how to recognize and respond to the symptoms. This could truly be a huge problem in the future if we don’t address it now.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am an individual who is sensitive and adversely affected by wireless radiation. I am sensitive to cell phones, wireless routers, microwave owens and smart electric meters. My symptoms are chest pain (heart) and sharp pain the the head. These symptoms happen immediately with microwave owens and even at fairly long distance. I have to avoid areas housing smart meters, as they wil cause heart and head pain withing a few seconds. I do not use a cell phone and have to avoid being near anyone who is using a phone. I use a modem which does not have a wifi capability and which are now hard to find. As are computers without wifi built in. I support HHS taking an active role in examining and regulating the health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. I have had serious sleep issues, insomnia! Not only me but people living in my area! There are 2 tall towers less than 1/4 mile away! I lay wide awake most nights! Before these towers were put up no issues with sleep! I sold my home in Fisher’s Landing in Vancouver, Washington this past May and moved to Battle Ground, Washington!
