Reports head pulsing and bodily buzzing near condo wireless sources, describes using a cable to work else…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I live in a condo in the direct line of several 5g towers and wifi routers in the building. I can feel my head pulsing and my body buzzing when I work on my laptop in certain rooms and areas of my condo. I bought an rf meter and it will max out in those areas. I usually try to plug into the modem and run a line to a "safer" spot to work from. The bottom line is that emf and rf are definitely affecting our health and need to be toned down and regulated. I also believe they are affecting animals, plants, insects and the environment.

An educator reports personal and pet improvement after smart-meter removal, difficulties in electronics-h…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS's Request for Information on EMF, RF, and wireless radiation exposure. I am responding from the perspective of an educator of 30 years and concerned member of the community as well as someone who personally struggles with the negative effects. Wireless radiation has affected me personally. I had to have my smart meter removed as it left me feeling lethargic, gave me headaches, impeded my breathing, and highjacked my nervous system. As a result, I had to avoid the backyard and two rooms of my house. My dog experienced similar issues, always avoiding the backyard. The minute the meter was removed, I felt my whole being relax and felt comfortable for the first time ever in this house/yard. My dog, who would not have known the difference, also no longer had problems with being in the backyard for extended periods of time. I have these same symptoms when in my car or some place with lots of electronics, such as a school. One school library was so bad, I couldn't even enter the room much less stay in it for any length of time. I know this wireless technology is affecting our kids as a result of the constant exposure in the school building day after day. Over 30 years, I have watched students struggle more and more just to function during their school day, and this technology is one of the reasons for their struggle. I absolutely support HSS taking an active role in examining the protentional health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, as well as the experience of individuals and families who report being affected. All should be considered alongside current scientific data that is mindful of today's level of radiation exposure. I believe we need to make major adjustments to what is considered an acceptable level of exposure in this country as others countries have done. Thank you for providing individuals and families the opportunity to be heard.

Reports sensory symptoms and anxiety around wireless sources while acknowledging causal uncertainty, and …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Thank you, HHS Leadership, for the opportunity to share my personal perspective regarding Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I believe that I experience significant adverse effects from these technologies. My symptoms include headaches, skin and body pain as shooting, tingling, and burning sensations, and low level general anxiety that feels unnatural to me. Identifying the specific source is sometimes difficult, as exposure may come from the smartphone, smartwatch, laptop, tablet, Wi-Fi router, smart meter, cell tower, or other wireless infrastructure. At times it is obvious, like when I send an email from the phone and a burning sensation occurs in the hand holding the phone after I hit "send". These experiences are difficult to discuss with medical professionals, friends, and family because the prevailing assumption is that wireless technologies are harmless. I ask HHS to take seriously the distress people report, even when the causes remain uncertain. My home's smart meter, located outside the kitchen, is a great concern. While in that area I sometimes experience what feels like painful pulses or beams emanating from its vicinity. I also observe distressing patterns of emotional tension occurring in this location, more than normal for a family kitchen. I recognize that these observations do not establish causation, but I believe they warrant objective investigation rather than dismissal. I am undergoing medically supervised chelation for heavy metals in an attempt to find relief, at considerable expense and without a clear solution. The financial burden is unsustainable. I need accessible, evidence-based medical guidance that investigates potential causes rather than a mystery. During recent travel, I used an eSIM that restricted my phone to 4G connectivity. I experienced no anxiety for two weeks, until I returned to the mesh networks of the United States. This observation does not prove that 5G or any particular frequency caused my symptoms, but it raises a question I believe deserves investigation: Could different wireless technologies, exposure patterns, or environmental conditions affect some individuals differently? I believe we must reconsider the widespread implementation of technology which results in Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I think it might be a greater threat to our world than previously understood. I worry for my global neighbors and all our children as many cannot feel the disturbing emanations from their tech devices. I realize we are very far down this Tech road and pivoting away is, sadly yet probably, impossible. However, Consumers should have meaningful options to select lower-exposure technologies, including access to 4G-only connectivity when technically possible. Public installations across cities should be shielded to protect the citizens and nature. Scientific research warrants continued investigation. The U.S. National Toxicology Program reported evidence of certain tumors in animals exposed to high levels of RF radiation: https://ntp.niehs.nih.gov/research/topics/cellphones. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classified RF electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans: https://www.iarc.who.int/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/pr208_E.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com. Research into environmental impacts identifies substantial evidence gaps concerning wildlife and plants, including reproduction, development, behavior, and growth: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s13750-023-00304-3#citeas. Please review the information and concerns compiled by the Cellular Phone Task Force: https://cellularphonetaskforce.org/. These findings do not prove that wireless exposures cause the symptoms I experience, but they underscore the need for rigorous, independent research. I respectfully request that HHS engage several areas of actions immediately: 1. Support independent research into EMF/RF exposure and reported health effects, including symptoms in people who report sensitivity. 2. Investigate possible environmental effects on wildlife, pollinators, plants, biodiversity, and ecosystems. 3. Review existing exposure standards in light of emerging evidence, long-term exposure, vulnerable populations, and new technologies. 4. Promote transparent exposure information, accessible medical evaluation, and practical exposure-reduction options for concerned individuals. 5. Ensure that research is methodologically rigorous, publicly accessible, and free from inappropriate commercial influence. I also ask that my experience and that of others be investigated fairly, that scientific uncertainties be addressed openly, and that the public have meaningful choices while research continues. Thank you for your attention to and care for public health, scientific integrity, and the protection of all life.

Opposes a proposed tower near home, citing doctors’ concerns for a disabled mother and potential effects …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My name is Andy Hinson. A 199-foot cell tower has been proposed to be sited near to my home and property in the North Carolina Piedmont. My disabled mother, who resides with me, has received letters from multiple doctors, including her personal care practitioner and her neurologist, asking that the tower be sited at a different location to prevent debilitating harm. One of the letters stated that the emissions from the base station could ultimately prove fatal to my mother. My property shelters an abundance of unusual flora and fauna, including Federally Endangered species. I have received letters and studies from multiple countries around the world stating the impacts to sensitive ecosystems, which include direct mortality in plants. Drastic decline is documented in pollinating insects, which could also affect crop production. Disruptive effects on bats have been documented by Dr. Paul Racey and Dr. Oliver Lindecke. Two deaths this year in NC are attributed to West Nile Virus (of 11 reported cases in 2026) and bats are natural predators of disease vector mosquitoes. New Hampshire House Bill 1644 recommended telecommunications antennas be 1,640 feet from residentially zoned areas. Particularly sensitive individuals such as my mother may require a greater separation, such as a minimum 2000 ft setback. ADA accommodation should be given to the sick and sensitive, and in extreme cases (such as doctor letters stating potentially fatal impacts) towers should be sited at least this distance. Cell towers should not be sited where Federally Endangered species are documented to be present. Avian collisions and other biological impacts may be lessened by required co-location of antennas on existing towers within a 2-3 mile area minimum. With cell phones people have at least some scant margin of choice, but with cell towers there is none. Agencies have long ignored biological impacts to humans under the excuse that studies on non-human subjects cannot be directly correlated. Perversely, there is no regulation to protect any non-human species, despite the vast scientific evidence. At cellular frequencies in experiments, ants have shown disorientation, relocation, weakened olfactory and visual memory, altered locomotion, and colony deterioration. Adaptation to electromagnetic exposure was observed to be impossible. A UNESCO report by Australia botanist Mark Broomhall observed startling and rapid species declines at Mt. Nardi of the Australian Nightcap Range. By his estimates, 70-90% of the wildlife has become rare or disappeared altogether, which he originally attributed to climate change. But the species declines were too sudden and too localized. Eventually he came to understand that the cell tower complex atop Mt. Nardi was affecting the wildlife for a radius of 2-3 km. This explanation became inescapable when there was a sudden return of multiple species over a three day period, in what he described as a "festival of birds". Heartbreakingly, after these three remarkable days, the biological explosion ended and the species again deserted the area. These three days were the three days that the cell towers were turned off for maintenance. Various studies have recorded the exodus of species from cell tower sites. Extensive studies were conducted in Kafue National Park in Zambia, finding a “significant decrease in the counts of birds across the EMR gradient” and “The site with the least electromagnetic pollution had the highest mean count of birds”, as well as “significant higher mean counts of abandoned tree cavity nests in proximate to the phone mast.” Also, the “site with the least electromagnetic pollution had the highest mean count of insects.” The study concludes that “the effects of EMR could be the dominant predictor of distribution of terrestrial birds and insects”. Electromagnetic radiation of mobile telecommunication antennas affects the abundance and composition of wild pollinators. Studies conducted on two separate Mediterranean islands measured electromagnetic radiation at 4 distances (50, 100, 200 and 400 m) from 10 antennas (5 on Limnos Island and 5 on Lesvos Island) concluded: “Pollinators and their host plants constitute pollination networks. Although the architecture of these mutualistic networks can increase the capacity of pollinator populations to persist under harsh conditions, once a tipping point in human-induced environmental change is reached, pollinator populations may collapse simultaneously. Therefore, these changes in the composition of pollinator communities associated with electromagnetic smog may have important ecological and economic impacts on the pollination service that could significantly affect the maintenance of wild plant diversity, crop production and human welfare.”

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. At this time, I am not sure if EMF's, RF, and Wireless Radiation Exposure is affecting me, but I do support people affected by wireless radiation. I believe HHS should address this issue because wireless radiation has grown exponentially since it was studied over thirty years ago. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

Reports an episode of immobility attributed to 5G, alleges broader links with COVID and diabetes, and urg…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Dear Staff at HHS: Please know that in spite of the onslaught and pressure to have everything go "wireless", we face serious consequences to our earth, all of nature, and all of humanity. Please do everything possible to stand against this. I personally do not use wireless and suffered from an Addisonian Reaction to 5G in January 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. I was struck immobile while walking home in Central Park. I could not move, This was when 5G was deeply launched in New York City. By the Grace of God, I was finally able to put one foot in front of another, take the subway, and go right to bed, The next morning I was much better. This was a COVID reaction. And 5G is considered one of the major causes of the epidemic. Also, it is historically documented that all the great scientists, i. e. Thomas Edison, all developed diabetes due to their long exposure to radiation. Diabetes has exploded around the world, in tandem with the overwhelming presence of wireless radiation. Please use your authority and power to "power" our country with renewable energy and benign sources. There are many experts in these fields who would be honored to partner with you in a global renewal of "Good Energy". It is also what our young people need to do and see and tp give them the opportunity for HEALING jobs. With many thanks, a believer in "choose the good".

Reports increased RF/EMF sensitivity and family neurological symptoms, and calls for research, public inf…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am writing to urge the Department of Health and Human Services to fully consider all available evidence and the real-world experiences of actual people concerning the health impacts of radiofrequency (RF) radiation, electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and wireless radiation exposure on children and adults, as well as the impacts of long-term and cumulative exposure on wildlife and the environment. As our federal health agency, it is the duty and responsibility of the department to protect the public. This requires reviewing research already conducted, undertaking any additional studies as needed, and then clearly informing everyone of the health effects of the radiation and EMFs we are continually being subjected to without our consent. It also requires regulation of all corporations and any other entities responsible for the introduction and spread of these harmful technologies. They must not be allowed to jeopardize our health for their profit (or for any other reason). This issue matters to me personally because of the proliferation of cell towers, 5G installations, "smart" meters and wireless devices everywhere which we cannot get away from. The human body was not designed to cope with the effects of such frequencies. I am experiencing increased sensitivities to RF radiation and EMFs. These exposures have caused vertigo, brain fog, insomnia and other negative health consequences for me and my family members.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Please conduct thorough research and investigation into the effects of non-native EMF exposure and wireless radiation on human and environmental health. This technology has been implemented and forced onto all populations without proper informed consent and many people have discovered from their own personal health investigations that they are seriously impacted by this technology. Proper studies must be done and the public must have access to the results as well as policies made to protect human health.

Reports symptoms near smart meters, workplace towers and phone systems, improvement after relocation and …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient and concerned member of the public. I first noticed symptoms of EMF emissions around 2013 when my electrical co-op installed smart meters for 4 adjoining townhouse units on the wall of my end unit outside my bedroom at the head of where my bed was located. I began experiencing sleep disturbances, headaches, and tinnitus that diminished when away from home and returned when at home. I would occasionally have dizzy spells. I had bouts of disorientation sometimes while driving usual routes. My doctor found no reasons for these symptoms. Between 2015 and 2018 I worked for a church which, unknown to me, had a cell tower hidden in their steeple. While working for them, I would experience tinnitus and headaches at work and began to have more frequent dizzy spells at work and home. On occasion, I had severe attacks of vertigo and nausea at work that required medication and time off from work. I suffered something like a mini-stroke that resulted in awakening to severe disorientation one morning. My doctor found no heart conditions, clotting issues, or hypertension issues. After learning of the cell tower at work in 2018, I began to suspect EMF could be causing my symptoms. I quit that job and moved to a more rural part of the state to avoid the growing number of cell towers near my condo. My symptoms decreased and I bought an EMF meter to monitor my home environment. I hard-wired my computer, and eliminated all wifi from my house. My symptoms have improved significantly. I still suffer from bleed over from my neighbors’ wi-fi and from the power lines running in front of my house. I recently spent about 2 ½ hours shopping in 3 adjacent stores within 200 yards of a newly installed cell tower and suffered the first severe bout of vertigo and nausea since leaving my job at the church with a cell tower. Since moving, I have worked at two different jobs requiring constant communication over VoiP phone systems causing constant tinnitus and headaches. The biological effects should be studied without limit to thermal effects. I would like to see ELF become an additional priority as the magnetic fields from power lines increase my symptoms as much as RF. With data centers bringing increased need for more power and high-power lines being forced upon residential areas in nearby Virginia, I am deeply concerned about a growing cancer cluster among school children in that state just over the state line from me. The data centers also bring concerns about extremely low frequency effects on pollinators, farm animals and people. There is little existing research on these effects. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations—for example, those like me with autoimmune thyroid disease and Lyme disease--and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.
