My comments to potential adverse health and environmental effects of RF radiation I live in Sweden and am posting this comment because I suffer from the disability known as electrohypersensitivity (EHS), which is well documented in the form of medical certificates, confirmed in a double-blind scientific test in Germany and, not least, through the constant ‘blind tests’ that occur in everyday life. My reactions to a wireless wifi router have been documented in a scientific double-blind stress test in which heart rhythm (HRV) was clearly disrupted at a level as low as one millionth (0.000001) of the Swedish limit value of 10,000,000 μW/m² established by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority. Many of my friends here in Sweden, like me, feel very unwell and are struggling to escape the radiation from wireless technology. In 2015, the general public in Sweden were asked by the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) whether various environmental factors affect health. 5.2 per cent of respondents said that they were bothered by car exhaust fumes more than once a week. In large cities, 10–12.2 per cent reported being very or extremely disturbed by traffic noise. Questions about “electromagnetic fields from, for example, mobile phones and antennas” and “electromagnetic fields from, for example, electrical appliances and power lines” had also been asked. 4 However, the results were not published in the same way as those for noise and car exhaust fumes. Following a request, the results were provided to the Swedish Association for the Electrohypersensitive. 35.2 per cent of respondents said that their health is negatively affected and 10.6 per cent said that their health is significantly affected by mobile phones and masts. Overall, 45.8 per cent reported a negative or significantly negative impact.5 This shows that the problem of ill health caused by radiation from wireless technology needs to be taken seriously and is considerably greater than many other serious environment-related health problems. I am also deeply concerned about the growing number of research reports finding that the artificial radio waves used for wireless communication – which are extremely much stronger than natural background radiation – harm plants, insects and other animals. This fact in itself poses a serious threat to human survival on this wonderful planet. Is radiation from wireless technology harmful? I believe the question is misguided and should instead be phrased as follows: How is it possible that humans and other forms of biological life could tolerate these environmentally alien radio waves, which have never before existed in the course of evolution? After all, a prerequisite for the life and health of biological beings is that we function and communicate internally using electric fields that are so incredibly much weaker than those from wireless communication. Brain waves can be measured externally using an EEG. Naturally, the electromagnetic fields from wireless technology also penetrate the body, interfere with our own signals and cause disruption. Steps taken to reduce exposure; subsequent changes in effects: Yes. I requested that the smart meter be removed from my home and I was told by the utility company I'd have to pay $50/mo. to "opt out". I told them I never "opted in" and that I wanted the meter off my house. The utility company complied approximately 14-months later. I keep my cellphone on airplane mode and ask others to do the same when I'm with them; I have a hard-wired computer; I limit visiting homes of family and friends who don't understand the effects of electromagnetic field/electromagnetic radiation overexposure; I limit flying because of the massive amount of EMF/EMR in the airport and on a plane when cellphones are active; I drive a 2005 vehicle which has low EMR, removing all metals from my mouth, which is an extremely slow and expensive process. My symptoms are more quiet presently through my efforts to minimize exposure. However, symptoms will flare within hours of overexposure. I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a husband and father. We live in a condominium community and there are 6 so-called "smart meters" on the other side of the wall of my son's bedroom. My son is autistic, has seizures and is non-verbal. I always suspected that wireless radiation was one of the causes of his condition. Right after with wireless meters were installed, I called con edison and asked them if they knew how safe they were. Their response was that the meters were approved by the FCC. That is their only answer to this day. Being a graduate of mass communications, I know a bit about FCC regulation. The FCC has nothing to do with people's health. They only check to see if devices interfere with other communication devices. They also told me that the previous meters had also been wireless, but a meter man had to drive alongside the meters to get the reading. I told con edison that I wanted to opt out of the wireless meters. It was almost useless because there are 5 other wirelessmeters on my son's wall, but I did it anyway. I am now charged extra money because I am concerned for my son's health and nobody in New York government (who gave con edison permission to install the meters) seems to care at all. A couple of days after the meters were installed, I was feeling unwell at work and started to drive home. For the first time in my life, I had heart palpitations. I didn't know what was happening so I called 911. An ambulance took me to the hospital. After following up with a cardiologist, he put me on Xanax and I have been on it ever since. There was also an uptick in my son's seizures. He is now on 5 medicines to help control the seizures and he is unable to make it to school regularly. I had planned for us to move out of here, because I had seen a couple of houses where the people moved the meters away from the house. I had planned the move to be for 2020. But then, the pandemic hit and real estate in Westchester got out of control and out of reach for middle class families. I want a way to measure the wireless radiation in our home. I did buy a small device, and it of course flashes "DANGER" around the wall adjacent to the meters. But we need professional, government approved proof of what is happening. Just last month, I made a formal complaint with New York state about it. All they did was have someone at con edison call me, and that person referred me to the FCC web site, which again is absurd because the FCC is only concerned about whether a communication device interferes with other communication devices. They have no concern for people whatsoever! I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient. EMFs, RF and Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) have dramatically affected me. Please note my list of symptoms below triggered by EMFs, RF and EMR that began after 2010, intensified until I was forced to stop working due to these symptoms in May 2014 and continue to this day. I was a partner in the largest CPA (certified public accounting) firm in our county, and was at the peak of my career. My dream home had to be sold to pay ongoing medical bills and eliminate our mortgage. My husband and I had to move to a mobile home to exist and have poured considerable money into the home to shield from EMFs, RF and EMR. I am completely overwhelmed with the medical symptoms triggered by and it is a day-to-day struggle to survive. Specific triggers of EMFs, RF and EMR for me include, but are not limited to exposure to: Cell phones, Cell towers, Smart meters, Computers, wireless phones, laptops, EV, Most vehicles built after mid 2000s, Cellular satellites, LED bulbs, LED light displays, smart watches, wireless hearing aids, and, hearing loops. My symptoms when exposed to EMFs, RF and EMR include: Vise-like painful grip circling head, Knife-like sharp pains in head, Migraine lasting min 6hr to max of 4 days, Vertigo, Disorientation, Heart arrythmia, Shortness of breath, Chest pressure, Slurred speech, Blurry eyesight, Visionary mirrors related to migraines, Hands shaking, and, Extreme exhaustion. My ongoing limitations include: Almost completely housebound leaving home only for emergencies or medical appointments. It takes days to recover from migraines and other symptoms noted above after leaving our shielded home; Prevented from traveling via airplanes, ships, modern vehicles, train; Prevented from staying in hotels, friends’ or relatives’ homes; Prevented from attending outdoor holiday lights displays, LED light shows, parades; Limited access to worship, theatre, live performances, sports events – anywhere that has sound systems under new FCC frequency guidelines that emit radiation; Cannot shop or run errands without severe side effects (e.g. grocery stores, malls, farmers’ markets); No access to banking, texting, emergency notifications from banks, utility companies, housing management via cell phones. In a power outage, no access to emails to compensate for this limitation; Cannot take walks outside of home, go to the beach or parks; Considerable expenses incurred due to my hypersensitivity to EMFs, RF and EMR: Shield home including upgrades as technology from 3G to 4G to 5G changes; Expense to re-wire existing appliances; Considerable expense & labor to search for wireless-free equipment, disable wifi features on electronic equipment if possible; Expense for watching tv without wireless, smart devices/screens/remotes/streaming devices (e.g. Roku); Expense and great inconvenience to move to a community without smart meters on or near home; Considerable out of pocket expense for medical devices and therapists not covered by insurance to reduce or attempt to control the pain. HHS should address the sources of EMFs, RF and EMR. Specifically, I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. I am a female U.S. citizen and USAF veteran and have suffered with tinnitus/sleep issues during and after my Air Force enlistment. Since February 2024 (living in an apartment complex near MacDill AFB), I now experience increased symptoms of severe tinnitus, insomnia, EMF/WIFI sensitivities, nausea, dizziness, balance issues, eye pressure, head pressure and headaches, erratic heart rate spikes waking me out of sleep. Along with other veterans who have commented on this forum, I agree there are serious issues that need to be investigated. Government employees are not the only people experiencing AHI/Havana syndrome symptoms. Civilians, U.S. veterans, and military members are also suffering from the same symptoms.

In July 2023, I was admitted to ER and overnight to the hospital for heart issues. Then spent two days having Multiple tests were run with no conclusive evidence of any heart Trouble! I was sent home and had my two smart meters on my property removed and then a month later ended up wearing a heart monitor for three weeks journaled everything and recorded every time my heart acted up and what I was doing and discovered I could not spend more than 45 minutes at a time on my wireless laptop without giving me palpitations and creating arrhythmia and chest pain pains! It was quite an eye opener. Of course, the journal entries were highly edited and showed NO correlation!?! Three months later, I saw the top southern Oregon cardiologist. Except for some unusual EKGs and all the rest of the tests were inconclusive, the Doctor asked me, what I thought the issue was - so I shared, that I felt the cause of my cardiac issues was EMF exposure. His comment and I quote “I’m not ‘allowed’ to discuss that with patients.”. I asked him why, and he would not explain the censorship. (I was shocked!) Although he did say that “ I would never use my cell phone next to my brain because I don’t want brain cancer.” AND he does not carry it in his hip pocket next to “his boys” because he doesn’t want prostate cancer! So obviously, he believes that EMF is causing cancers, but he’s not allowed to talk about cardiac problems!?! Prior to my experience, my husband has had cardiac problems ever since smart meters were attached to our home. Once they were removed here in Oregon he no longer has cardiac issues! September 20, 2026 I travel to Oroville, California and was in town less than 24 hours before I had to leave because I started having cardiac issues; palpitations, arrhythmia, shortness of breath and chest pains, so once again EMF is the culprit because I was in a large city with lots of EMF and undoubtedly 5G. Once out away from the city symptoms reduced enough for me to travel home! LIVESTOCK AND PETS All our farm animals have also been exposed to long-term EMF. Once the smart meters were installed in 2015 the 80 lb mixed breed dog developed systemic lupus, and inflammation all over her body so she could barely walk and she was only two years old. The older second 45 lb dog, became aggressive and developed fatty tumors on her body. Now in Oregon two puppies we adopted, both have severe allergies and something is accentuating unknown congenital disorders. The 17 year-old Horse developed melanoma cancer all over his body. Tumors are so large it’s impeding his movements. The 13-year-old wild Mustang developed diabetes and is developing tumors. None of this is not normal nor is it coincidental. The water has been tested at both residential locations. Their feed has been tested and of course, none of them eat the same thing, so it’s not the feed or water. I believe it’s long-term exposure to the EMF. Our cattle also have congenital health issues here. The bull died of unexplained issues and he was a little over two years old. Since removing the smart meter that was attached to their Barn, we have no longer had detectable health issues. THE INSIDE CAT - weight 10 lbs Would have tremors all day long before we remove the smart meters. ONE DAY I WATCHED A TREMOR COMPLETELY, KNOCK HER OFF THE COUCH AND SHE HIT THE FLOOR WITH A HUGE CRY OF SHOCK AND PAIN! Once the first meter was removed, WITHIN 48 HOURS, THE TREMORS BEGAN TO REDUCE DAILY IN SEVERITY AND NUMBER!! TWO WEEKS AFTER BOTH METERS WERE REMOVED SHE NO LONGER HAD TREMORS!!! I know this is all observational and empirical data, but all the biological symptoms, whether it was human or animal, have reduced or completely dissipated with the removal of the smart meters and our constant management of wireless devices; being turned off when not in use or kept away from all of us. Not being able to travel to large towns or cities to visit family and friends because of the impacts has gotten ridiculous. The effects are real. I had a journal that documents it. I had tests that show the periods. My prayer is that the FCC will finally listen to the American people and understand the effects are real, and you’re supposed to protect AMERICANS from this industry you’re regulating. The broadband infrastructure that was supposed to connect us to the rest of the US, never made it to our neighborhood thus, I’m stuck using wireless technology. I beg you, please give meaningful consideration to the experiences and evidence that the public is providing and fully address each issues identified by the court. We cannot continue to live this way. There is so much new research that has been done around the world, documenting what’s happening. MY NEIGHBORS AND ANIMALS ARE DYING I am SICK. My family members have been SICK SINCE more than a hundred UNREGULATED TOWERS WENT LIVE over our community. This has been a challenge for me to get anyone to help in my community. I wanted to share my story in hopes of helping others. My story is one of many in Terrebonne Parish. After multiple (9) 300-foot 5G towers were put over our homes, four 300-foot 5G towers were put over my home and animal sanctuary, and four 300-foot towers were put over my office. At the same time, smart meters were put on my home, along with those of every other Entergy customer. I began getting sick, very sick. It began in my petting area with heart palpitations, headaches, vomiting, ringing in my ears, confusion, bleeding gums, insomnia, nightmares, dizziness, anxiety, ears buzzing 24 hours a day, severe fatigue, muscle weakness, and more. I have now been diagnosed with radiation syndrome / EHS (electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome) caused by extreme exposure to radiation. Many residents are experiencing similar symptoms. Countless children are now suffering. Being a very healthy person my whole life, this has been a life-changing situation. I am usually the one helping others; now I need your help. I never thought this could happen until I was forced to face it by becoming sick. I'm not sure where this illness will take me. However, I must do all I can to protect my family and my community. Seven neighbors on my street and friends have died after the towers went live over their homes. Many other residents are also sick. My community is surrounded by towers that have no regulatory testing information, nor does our planning department ask for it, citing the FCC's outdated RF radiation guidelines. I became certified in RF radiation testing. I now test the towers and smart meters. I can confirm that the EMF (electromagnetic frequency) / RF (radio frequency) radiation being emitted is extreme for every single product, tower, and smart device I have tested. It has been a fight to protect my family, my community, and myself, with EVERYONE CITING THE FCC'S OUTDATED RF RADIATION GUIDELINES. I had to learn all I could about this to protect my health and theirs. I've had to turn my home, where I have lived for 28 years, into an EMF-safe house (until I sell it), as well as my barn, which is surrounded by EMF material and protection. My bed is covered with EMF protection as well due to the radiation levels in my home. I now have to wear protective clothing all day. Leaving my safe area means becoming exposed due to the unbridled towers around me. I am a very private person. This is not easy to share, but if I do not ask for help now, many more innocent people will be sick, or they will die like my neighbors, my friends, and my animals. Since the towers went live, six of my horses have died instantly under the towers. All of my little animals have died. My 200-pound tortoises started going blind. I'm not sure where the daily radiation exposure will take me, so I thought now is the best time to ask for your help in making a change. My profession was computer science and I became disabled (recognized by the MDPH, a French organization for the recognition of disabilities) following a permanent exposure to excessive radiation: I lived 35 m from a relay antenna (2g, 3g, 4g+) and the office WI-FI box was placed on my work table. I was also surrounded by all kinds of electronic and computer equipment. I spent a lot of time on the phone as part of my duties. I suffered a lot in my body for 2 years without understanding why until a doctor understood that my neurological, cardiac and hormonal problems were induced by the radiation around me. I feel that EMF radiation has not been properly evaluated for human exposure and before we go to 6G we need to evaluate the effects this has on humans. My husband has AFIB and he has been holding his phone over his heart for years which I believe has contributed to this condition. He has been in the ICU for this problem and no doctor has ever brought up his EMF exposure as a possible explanation for his condition.
