Attributes arterial calcification requiring bypass surgery to years of carrying a phone against the back …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
"Here is my story, 12 years ago I awoke in the middle of the night in excruciating pain in my legs, a piece of calcium had broken of from the main artery that supplies blood to my legs blocking at the junction I had to have a double bi-pass, they thought I my loose a leg because of the lack of blood flow. I seen my vascular surgeon and told him what I thought caused this calcification. For over 20 years I carried my mobile phone clipped to the back of my nail bag up against my back that caused the calcification, he's response was "why do you think my phone is way over their" pointing to the table sitting in the corner of his office, then i started to look for conformation of my thoughts and sure enough there is plenty out there like this paper that corelates well with the introduction of the mobile phone in Australia. A week before my experience I had a CT scan and what it showed was calcium build-up at the junction to my legs and the only other bit of calcium build-up was behind my ear."

Reports household symptoms and meter readings associated with small-cell upgrades and solar equipment, di…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Re: Docket HHS-OASH-2026-0397, Request for Information on EMF/RF Exposure Question 2 (Perspective): I'm responding as an individual and family member. My husband and I are adults in our fifties who have dealt with RF exposure in our homes for many years. This response is based on our personal experience and our own measurements taken with a consumer RF meter. Question 3 (Experiences): a. Sources: wireless infrastructure (a small-cell node that was later replaced with a much larger unit), and rooftop solar systems on rental homes. b. Exposure: Over several years, we reduced RF in our Los Angeles bedroom to about 1 to 5 µW/m². Then the small-cell node outside our apartment was replaced with a unit about the size of a refrigerator. Our meter then read about 10,000 µW/m² in our living room and 30,000 µW/m² on our front step. In later rentals with rooftop solar, we measured very high readings in the bedroom. c/d. Health effects and timing: We both experienced increased inflammation, migraines and headaches, hormonal imbalance, trouble sleeping, fatigue, brain fog and difficulty concentrating, a persistent buzzing sensation and ringing in the ears, skin tingling or burning, heart palpitations, dizziness, irritability and anxiety, and joint and muscle aches. These began to ease once we reduced our bedroom exposure to 1 to 5 µW/m², and they returned after the larger node was installed. We now rent a home with rooftop solar panels, and all of these symptoms have come back. f. Steps to reduce exposure: While our bedroom stayed at 1 to 5 µW/m², we saw our health start to improve. Since the larger node went in, finding low-exposure housing has been a constant struggle, especially in the DC area. Question 5n (Regulatory changes): Exposure limits and siting rules should account for long-term, close-range residential exposure from infrastructure placed next to homes. That includes enforceable setbacks from bedrooms and living spaces. Question 9 (Disclosure): Residents should get advance public notice when wireless equipment near their homes is installed or upgraded. That notice should include the frequency bands and expected power levels. Rental listings should disclose nearby antennas and rooftop solar inverters. Question 15 (Infrastructure): Please study how small-cell deployments and their upgrades affect actual exposure inside nearby homes. In our case, one equipment swap raised the reading in our living room by thousands of times. Question 16 (Research priorities): Which frequency bands, signal types, and exposure levels are linked to harm. Practical, evidence-based ways for people to reduce their exposure at home. How people recover after exposure is reduced, and clinical guidance for doctors seeing patients who report these symptoms. Enforcement, meaning keeping bands found to be harmful out of residential areas. Thank you for considering this comment.

Describes multisystem illness and reported environmental sensitivity after a vaccination and asks HHS to …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment as an individual patient with a scientific background in biological sciences and as someone who has experienced a substantial decline in health and daily functioning accompanied by significant sensitivity to environmental stimuli. I respectfully ask HHS to include individuals with complex, multisystem conditions and reported electromagnetic sensitivity in its evaluation of potential health effects associated with electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and radiofrequency (RF) radiation. Before March 2021, I was healthy, physically active, employed full-time, and able to participate in farm work and normal daily activities without the limitations I experience today. Following an acute reaction to my first Moderna COVID-19 vaccination in March 2021, I developed persistent health problems involving autonomic dysfunction, heat intolerance, abnormal heart-rate responses, neurological symptoms, fatigue, and other multisystem complaints. Subsequent medical evaluations identified several conditions, including dysautonomia/POTS, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and small-fiber neuropathy confirmed by skin biopsy. I am not presenting this history as proof that electromagnetic exposure caused my illness. Rather, I am asking HHS to recognize the importance of investigating environmental factors that may aggravate symptoms in people with existing neurological, autonomic, or multisystem dysfunction.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am an individual consumer attesting that I suffered from insomnia, anxiety and heart palpitations before I started turning off my phone and my wifi at night. If I travel and cannot turn off wifi the symptoms reappear. My mom lives by a cell tower. When she stays at my house for over one week her insomnia and anxiety dissppear.

Reports improved family sleep and cardiac symptoms after reducing wireless exposure and replacing smart m…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am responding as an individual consumer, a parent, and a concerned citizen. I first started to learn about the hazards of EMF's when I started to experience severe and symptomatic arrythmias in my mid-30's. Since then, I have recovered and improved my sleep immensely by turning off our WiFi when not in use, hardwiring devices like TV's, computers and laptops, and having our smartmeters (power and gas) replaced with analog meters. Everyone in our family noticed better sleep, my daughter's nose bleeds stopped, my son who was experiencing distressing symptoms from heart arrythmia improved, our family dog who used to have his crate on the wall near the smart meter began to grow hair. That was all the evidence we needed, but unfortunately, we have been unable to control the installation of wireless towers near our home and/or massive panel additions to existing panels. There has been the installation of 5G (all while adding to 2G, 3G and 4G) with 6G on the way. We also cannot control the "general electrosmog" from other neighbor's smart meters, WiFi, devices, appliances, etc, etc. We need the FCC to revisit the undeniable impact of EMF's on our cellular biology, disease factors, impact on nature and the environment, and more. Such studies stopped decades ago while the industry explodes unchecked and that is telling. We need ongoing health studies, industry transparency and regulation to protect residential areas and schools.

Reports tinnitus, burning sensations, heart-rhythm changes and twitching around phones and wireless devic…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
If I am on the phone at times it triggers Tinnitus then I have to disconnect and will slowly go away. My hand feels a burn sensation at times on my dominant hand and more severity fluctuations and have to go off the phone. It at times affects my heart rythm and then I immediately disconnect. I used to spend more time on my phone until my thumb started twitching and so I thought to go on a social media fast and get off my phone for two weeks and my thumb came right. My body feels irritated by WiFi and Blue tooth.. can't tolerate it for too long and then I feel miserable and irritated. When I get home, I walk barefoot on the earth for about 5-10min and it helps My stomach will feel a burn sensation and I have to move away from the phone. I believe it does not stay within safety parameters. Also, I am very sensitive and I think I have less of a protective layer around my nerve cells(Myelin sheath...BTW my systemic Lupus is in Remission).

Attributes severe neurological and cardiac symptoms to activation of a nearby 5G tower, describes improve…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I believe I was affected by EMF in 2020 when a 5G tower was turned on in October of that year. I was affected by having my first POTS flair. I had been living with Bluetooth speakers, WiFi around the clock and cell phone radiation before this without a problem. I was extremely sick after they turn in the tower. . I was weak, having neurological symptoms , gastrointestinal symptoms , AFib with RVR and many other symptoms. I left the house and stayed with a friend two blocks away, since the tower was placed 60 feet from my home, to see if that would make a difference in my recovery. 5 days later I was able to stand and walk around the house. I had been bed bound before due to weakness. Then returned after two weeks to my home to gather things and within 30 min I could feel the energy begin to be depleted again. I left the house after 30 min and it took another 2 days to recover. I eventually moved back home where there were no 5G towers isolated myself in a homemade faiday room for 6 months and was able to return to normal life again. This forced me out of my home, into a friends, then later to another state for my healths sake. I was formal diagnosed with A MD in Santa monica with EMF sensitivity from tower.

Describes possible neurological and cardiac symptoms among susceptible people and calls for research bene…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Those with a sensitive nervous system as well as being exposed to EMF’s are susceptible to undesirable side effects such as; elevated heart rate, anxiety, headaches insomnia and difficulty concentrating. With the increase in Lyme disease, mold sickness and even Covid many are unfortunately more and more vulnerable. Studies and knowledge should be explored and is necessary not only for our future but for our children and grandchildren.

Describes electromagnetic hypersensitivity symptoms and proposed nonthermal mechanisms and urges independ…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
To the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS): I am submitting this public comment to express urgent concern regarding the biological and neurological health impacts associated with exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation, electromagnetic fields (EMFs), and dense wireless infrastructure, including 5G technology. I appreciate HHS taking this critical step to collect real-world user experiences and non-thermal scientific evidence to re-evaluate outdated exposure guidelines. 1. Real-World Symptomatic Evidence Across the country, an increasing number of individuals report debilitating physiological responses when exposed to continuous RF emissions from small cells, Wi-Fi, and cellular infrastructure. Common acute and chronic symptoms experienced by individuals affected by RF radiation exposure include: Severe Headaches and Migraines: Frequently coinciding with proximity to high-density wireless infrastructure or prolonged device usage. Persistent Tinnitus: A distinct ringing or buzzing in the ears that often correlates with localized RF exposure and disappears or diminishes in low-radiation environments. Nausea, Dizziness, and Vertigo: Disruption of vestibular function and equilibrium during exposure to high-frequency pulsed signals. Sleep Disturbances and Brain Fog: Chronic disruption of circadian rhythms, melatonin suppression, impaired concentration, and memory deficits. Cardiovascular Irregularities: Unexplained heart palpitations or racing pulse in high-EMF environments.  These symptoms—often referred to as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) or microwave syndrome—are not placebo or psychoactive effects. They represent observable biological distress in response to environmental stressors. 2. Regulatory Gaps: Non-Thermal Mechanisms and Pulsed Signals The current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) safety limits rely almost exclusively on guidelines established in 1996. These guidelines evaluate safety solely through the lens of short-term thermal (heating) impacts on body tissue. However, 5G and modern wireless technologies utilize complex beamforming, rapid signal pulsing, and high-density, multi-frequency exposures at levels far below those that cause tissue heating. Peer-reviewed biomedical literature demonstrates that non-thermal RF radiation can induce: Cellular oxidative stress and free radical production. Disruption of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs) in cell membranes, affecting neural transmission. Permeability changes in the blood-brain barrier. DNA damage and cellular repair inhibition. Evaluating modern 5G safety without accounting for non-thermal biological impacts, signal pulsing, and cumulative lifetime exposure leaves the public unprotected.  3. Protecting Vulnerable Populations Federal guidelines currently fail to account for cumulative, chronic exposure across sensitive populations, including children, pregnant women, the elderly, and individuals with preexisting neurological or cardiovascular conditions. Children are particularly susceptible due to thinner skulls, higher tissue conductivity, and a longer lifetime of expected exposure.  4. Action Requested from HHS I respectfully request that HHS take the following actions: 1. Acknowledge Biological Non-Thermal Effects: Formalize health guidance recognizing that low-intensity RF radiation causes non-thermal biological harm below current thermal thresholds. 2. Establish Precautionary Guidelines: Recommend updated, health-based exposure limits to the FCC that account for real-world cumulative exposure, 5G signal characteristics, and vulnerable sub-populations.  3. Fund Independent Health Research: Allocate federal funding for independent toxicology and epidemiological studies regarding long-term exposure to millimeter-wave and sub-6 GHz radiation. 4. Issue Public Health Education: Provide clear public guidance on practical exposure reduction strategies (e.g., hardwired connections, safe distance guidelines) for homes, workplaces, and schools.  Thank you for reviewing this public comment and prioritizing public health and biological safety.
