I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure.
I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public.
Besides the fact that a good amount of research I have seen shows that current allowable levels of RF and EMFs from devices may not be safe, I have heard stories from people about how they are negatively affected by today's tech devices and I believe their voices need to be heard and their stories investigated. I know of people getting fatal cancers after living near cell towers. I have heard people say they feel sick when they around routers, cell phones and other devices, and especially cell towers. I have heard people say they get headaches, heart palpitations, dizziness, insomnia and other symptoms from exposure to these things, but that the symptoms go away when they get away from them. I understand every BODY is different, and what affects one person one way may not affect someone else the same way (up to a certain threshold at least). However, some people serve as canaries in the coal mine--their experiences warning the rest of us that something might be more harmful to everyone than we realize. With Alzheimer's and especially cancer on the rise, I think the FCC and HHS have a duty to do a deep dive into these people's stories and make sure the RFs and EMFs we are all exposed to daily, everywhere, are not harming people. And if they find that they are, to do something about it immediately for the safety of the general public. To do otherwise would be a dereliction of duty and gross betrayal of the American people.
Thank you for your time and consideration

I am responding from the perspective of an advocate, friend, and family member of people who have had adverse reactions to microwave radiation from cell phones, wireless routers, or cell towers. Although I personally do not have a strong immediate adverse reaction to microwave exposure, I know several people who do.
Here are some vignettes from my experience: My sister in Utah complained to me about a twitch her 13-year-old grandson had developed, and wanted to take him to a chiropractor to see if anything could be done to help him. I asked her whether anything had changed in his life that might have caused this. She said no, but then called me back and said, yes. They had moved their wireless router into his bedroom. Upon removing it, his twitch went away. I, too, have noticed adverse reactions to wireless devices. I'm pretty adverse to using them at all, but I notice if I send text messages over a period of 10 or 15 minutes, my hands begin to tingle uncomfortably. On one occasion, I attended an event in an enclosed basement auditorium at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. It was a debate on the potential adverse effects of wireless devices, pitting Dr. Martin Pall against an attorney from the wireless industry. The wireless spokesman laughed at us when we asked that cell phones be put on airplane mode, because the wireless routers in the room were pointed from the ceiling at the attendees. After an hour and a half in that room I developed a headache and body aches, and was grateful to get out of there. I question what effect this was having on students trying to learn something. And why so many babies and young children are born with unusual health problems. And why so many young men are developing prostate cancer, and children in general are developing brain tumors. these are questions that should be addressed prior to the federal government allowing the definition of "broadband" expansion to include wireless and fiber-optice to the premises as if they were the same thing.
I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.
I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.
Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.
I, personally, can cause my heart to become arrhythmic just by standing in front of a wireless router for a few minutes.
I am a tennis player, and know of at least 8 other tennis players, men and women, who have had unexplained cardiac episodes in the last 2 years. . They go to a cardiologist, who cannot find a cause. And these are healthy, active individuals!
Thank you for taking on this important issue.

I am responding from the perspective of a parent and grandparent. My husband is chemically sensitive to all man-made (unnatural) chemicals, and his condition has gotten much worse ever since FPL installed their wireless meter outside our bedroom wall. We are being bombarded by radiation from the meter, and from both sides of our home from our neighbors' WIFI routers. I fear for our granddaughters who live in a totally wireless world, without even an analog clock in their home; everything is wireless! This nightmare has got to stop!

Thank you for the opportunity to be heard on this critical public health issue.
For the past few years, I have been regularly suffering from headaches that are sometimes quite disabling. I don't sleep well either. Since this year 2026, I have noticed a drop in the quality of my sleep and I also notice that people living in the same town as me (with several 5G antennas in a bird's-eye radius of less than a km) suffer from insomnia and often all wake up at the same time (3 a.m.). I don't know if it's due to the waves but I don't find my symptoms normal. I would like to point out here that I work in a school where the connections are multiple and on all the time (Wifi in addition to the wired system + students' mobile phones).
I experience skin issues and ringing in my ears, sleep in an emf canopy and when wifi is off or when i am in areas without wifi connection, these physical ailments stop - please get focus on this issue fast
My health started declining soon after my local electric company unlawfully installed a Smart meter at my home. I finally got it replaced with analog. I had loss of energy, brain fog, aches and pains, and decreased quality of life. Some days I could barely get out of bed. I’ve always been very active and strong. I also had EMF exposure from my neighbors’ WiFi, electric lines, etc. When in the vicinity of cell towers, I would immediately get a headache. I spent thousands of dollars on products to protect me. My health kept declining. My friend put the pieces together when she counted 32 electrical wires going up and down my street. She told me I was being poisoned by EMF. I moved out of state to an area that had low EMF and I got my life back. Here I do not have Wi-Fi and my computer is connected via Ethernet cable to fiber optic cable. For years I’ve used a faraday pouch to protect my hand from my cell phone radiation. My hand would feel like it was burning.
I have noticed recently that my index finger that I use to scroll or type on my Apple XR is feeling burning and tingling sensations. So I now use a stylus. Sometimes I have waves of feeling unwell (sudden decrease in energy, it feels like “the bottom just fell out,” nausea, and hot flashes) while I’m using my phone.
EMFs, to me, are dangerous and a different system needs to be implemented.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I am writing to underline the dangers that lurk behind all types of electromagnetic fields. Today we are living in a soup of radiation that is invisible, but potentially harmful. I cannot quote any studies to provide evidence, but I do know that many have been carried out. I myself am proof of the harmful effect that EMF´s can have as I am very sensitive to the radiation of Smart water meters, Wifi signals, bluetooth, cell towers, etc...
After suffering from headaches and lack of sleep, I moved out to the country away from cell towers, the WIFI of neighbors and many other sources of 24/7 radiation. My health has greatly improved.
I would beg you to study the literature and case studies of sensitive people like me who, like the canaries in a mine, are warning us to pay attention, and do something before everyone´s health is undermined.
I thank you for your attention to this important matter,
Mary Beth Hitt
My whole family has been affected by EMF. My mother had to stop wearing a smart watch as the EMF created wrist and joint pain while wearing the watch. Additionally, my mother developed a rash around that wrist regardless of the wrist strap. The wrist and joint pain and rash would go away when the watch was off. Therefore, she had to stop wearing it.
I have to place my phone and tablet in airplane mode as I will experience pain in whole body yet especially in my hands and wrist when using those electronics. Additionally, I have to turn off all electronics including the wifi to sleep. Otherwise, I have a hard time falling asleep, staying asleep and getting a restful night of sleep. When my wifi had to have the wires replaced and upgraded, I had the same issues even without the wifi on at night as there was still emf coming through.
