Exposure limits & oversight

As an individual consumer living in Australia, I would ask that the Department of Health and Human Services redefine the safe limits of radiation we now currently experience. I suffer from EHS (electrical hypersensitivity) so I experience first hand, the dangers of the levels we are at. This radiation also accumulates and never leaves our atmosphere. In future generations, this could mean annihilation of our species.

I've been experiencing issues with my hearing, ringing in the ears, having migraines and dizziness since moving into my our current home about 4yrs ago. The high pitched noise at some points has been almost unbearable and makes it incredibly difficult to sleep or think straight. All of this from a smart meter. The utility company won't let us opt out and revert to an analog for any reason, they even went so far as to say they no longer make analog meters, but they do indeed make them still. Everyone in the home can hear the noise. We've tested it and turned off everything in the breaker box and you can hear it still, 24/7. I bought a meter to test the EMF and RF and they are off the charts in unsafe zones and this meters attached to our living room, the main room in our home where our toddlers play all day. I tried using paint that blocks these types of waves and it barely made a dent. I have hearing loss and can barely hear my toddlers in the backseat, rining in my ears and it all started within weeks of moving into this house with the smart meter. I even had my ears checked a couple months ago and they were within normal range, but none of this is normal. I just want to option to choose an analog meter, not a non-transmitting meter, but an analog... I'm happy to pay the additional fee, but I'm not even given an option. The doctor I saw about my hearing offered therapy to help me learn how to ignore the high pitched noise... How does that help fix the problem? There has to be another way and those that are more sensitive to EMF waves, especially, should have options! The data is clear that these levels aren't safe but I have no options for dealing with this issue. PLEASE HELP US!!! When the new meters went into my neighborhood, I started having headaches and soon my ears started ringing. I always used an ethernet for internet and kept cell phone usage to speaker or ear corded headsets. I opted to keep my analog meter and then had to pay a monthly fee to do so. I moved in Aug 2025 due to the increased symptoms and increased wifi signals that were coming through my home 24/7 that were increasing my fatigue and other symptoms. My new location is in a sparsely populated area and just got a tower last November. The signal is not terribly strong through my house but, I noticed increased symptoms anyway. There was a smart meter on the side of the house. There was NO analog option, so I enquired with the power company and had the meter removed from the house and placed at the property line 56 1/2 feet away. The ringing and fatigue are minimal and no headaches now. The ringing has diminished to a small sound that is livable. I could only afford to do this because of the funds from selling my home otherwise I would have had to move to somewhere with No meters and towers nearby. It is extremely concerning that people with these sensitivities are NOT being listened to at all. Many have been cast as NUTS by their doctors that are ignorant of the effects of strong fields. Just look at what directed energy weapons are capable of doing and then tell me this is some kind of imaginary condition. There is a location in the Carolinas where there is a large telescope that is in a valley protected from ALL of these signals so the telescope can operate and many people with these sensitivities have moved to that area of the country and recovered. We are the CANARIES of the COAL MINES! I do not give my permission to be experimented upon by a deaf government or private business that has MONEY as their only goals. Studies have been done and continue to prove the damaging health effects of WIFi and 5g. Denmark has removed wifi from all schools. If there was no health issue, they would have NOT done so. What will it take to make regulators stop ignoring the science? I wish to have this placed into the Congressional record. What I have said and experienced is by no means unique. Please act like life and health really matter. What is the point of having the science and regulation if you only ignore that and strive to accommodate big business interests and money. How much is your life worth? How about your children, parents, siblings and friends? Would you finally act to do something if one of those were adversely affected by these types of signals and radiation? What will you say to Our Heavenly Father someday if you have to explain WHY you did nothing? Please, please think about it seriously. The greatest challenges can be the biggest opportunities to create something that solves the problems. It would be so awesome if you stopped removing telephone lines and gave people the option to restore that service as it is safer than cell phones. Thank you for the opportunity to say all of this. I have been deeply affected by wireless radiation. It affects my heart and my brain giving me headaches , heART palpitations, insomnia, memory loss, disorientation and dizziness especially when in facilities like hospitals, schools, government buildings etc. I cannot use cell phones for the same reason and I now live like a hermit on an isolated mountain away from towers and smart meters. I am 74 years old and cannot socialize anymore or go on trips, fly or travel by train because everything is WIFid to the nines and everyone carries and always has on their mobile phones. The other issue is that everyone is expected to use cell phones for "verification" of identity. This become a nightmare for those who are disabled by densified RF fields, arthritis, poor vision, dyslexia and other conditions not conducive for using a smart phones. The fact that all phone booths have been removed to force people into the use of this dangerous equipment is reprehensible . I almost died on a trip I took because I was exposed to hundreds of towers and got disoriented and lost and drove 7 hours out of my way because there were no longer phones along the HYWY where I could call for help. I STOPPED AT MANY REST STOPS AND ASKED FOR HELP AND EVERYONE USED THEIR PHONES TO TELL ME I WAS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION WHEN I WAS GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION AND MY EXIT WAS 7 hours behind me! I had to stay in a hotel that really made me sick due to the WIFI and I could not sleep at all and had to drive to my destination the next day being disoriented with a migraine headache and deadly tired. I was weaving on the road while cars sped by me at 80 MPH! I was not able to call anyone to tell them what happened to me and I was reported as a missing person. Many people are marginalized due to this health condition and are living in cars looking for a safe sanctuary and have been made homeless. This is serious and this dangerous technology needs to be banned unless it can be used safely and so far it is not at all safe from any living organism, If there had been one phone both at a gas station or a rest stop none of that would have happened to me except for the health affects of driving in a soup of RF radiation.

Do to the increase in EMF exposure over the last several years I have had an increasingly difficult time falling and staying asleep at night. Even when we put all of our phones on airplane mode and turn off our WiFi, I will have racing thoughts and a mind that can't seem to settle. When I purchased different EMF remediation devices, I have had some improvement and I sleep much better when wearing EMF harmonizing protection. There is only so much we can do to protect ourselves and our families and we need to look into this and give people a way to opt out of something that is harmful to their health and well being.

Background ---------- My comments are supported by my background as a Chemical Engineer with training and experience in a number of relevant areas; Energy - (oil & gas, electrical, Solar), IT - web development consulting for numerous Fortune 100 companies (banks, pharma, tech, research as well as Federal Agencies). My more recent focus has been a broad study of Human Health - specific to this topic, my certification as an EMRS (Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist) from the Building Biology Institute. Analysis ------- The dramatic escalation in the pervasiveness and intensity of people's unseen EMF environment (both public and private) is both unprecedented and unwise. Regulatory agency assurances of "safety" are deceptive at best and malevolent at worst. Premised on the assertion that only EMR energy levels high enough to cause tissue heating would be of concern is absurd and flies in the face of voluminous evidence to the contrary. Biological impacts from very subtle energetic environments are well documented... EMR effects are not dose dependent. I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a community member. Wireless radiation has affected me. Doppler Radar, the tower's, and the antenna’s frequency are horrific. Being a "canary in the coalmine" is AWFUL!! I experience a stiffened neck, heightened tinnitus, brain fog, migraines, an internal vibrating/buzzing and more. In my daily life, I have invested in Blushield, take radiation supplements (ie – apple pectin), use specific essential oils for EMF, and a host of other aids. Although, some days it can be incredibly intense. So much so, that I am bedridden. I absolutely support people affected by wireless radiation and am so grateful HHS is addressing this issue. I am disappointed, to say the least in the FCC. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I seriously believe that we need unbiased data on the safety considerations of these towers before they go up in public areas, over schools and hospitals and in residential neighborhoods. The only ones stating they are safe are the people who are profiting from them and surely the experiences we have had with the other industries that have been relied upon for self regulation have proven how ill advised the practice is! Do the research, make a real, honest and reliable assessment before another one goes up.

This comment is written for and on behalf of our family of three adults in Britain (UK). We became interested in the subject of the biological effects of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) when our lives changed in an instant after a base station (cell tower) was 'upgraded' in January 2019. We are commenting as this is the first invitation to bring our collective experiences to a government department that is prepared to listen to first-hand accounts of the real cost to people who are injured by over-exposure to wireless technology, then ignored and ridiculed. There is also a huge environmental cost from the damage caused to the natural world from rising EMR emissions which is also being ignored. This is why we are grateful and thankful for the opportunity to raise these issues with the HHS. Since the early hours of 17 January 2019, we quickly discovered that we were all suffering from severe 'Havana Syndrome' effects such as head-bursting tinnitus, nosebleeds, numbed limbs, brain fog, inability to speak fluently, copper taste in the mouth, heart palpitations and insomnia. Our lives are wrecked after years of trial and error in coping and managing an invisible invasion which fluctuates at any moment, whilst being effectively silenced by every government agency and department. We were on our own and that's when we researched the subject, which is ongoing. Due to EMR Syndrome (the recent renaming of the condition), employment, socialising and use of any public facility is almost impossible. We all have microwave hearing, which is 24/7and everywhere we have visited (even in the middle of woodland). Our relatives, friends and neighbours think we have lost our minds. The relentless wireless bombardment has taken its toll mentally, as we have had to deal with extreme life-changing events which mean we have a home that is essentially unliveable in, even though a lot of money has been spent on shielding/mitigation through the advice of a building biologist. Through the years of research, we have discovered a systematic approach of denial from those bodies who do know about the biological effects of all living things from EMR, but hold onto the outdated regulations and limits to enable a world of 'wireless connectivity'; long-planned. The International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF) summarises the situation from the perspective of the FCC and ICNIRP. From observations and experiences online communicating with many other similar sufferers and interested parties, we hope that the HHS will take advice from research free from industry influence to bring about meaningful and sustainable levels of EMR/EMF compatible with all life on Earth. Organisations such as the WHO, the UN, the ITU and the IEEE must be made to comply, as the obsession with total wireless connectivity of everything (including humans) has to end and not be allowed to be resurrected, ever. In conclusion, our family has suffered in an electromagnetic prison which is impossible to escape from; we see the environmental destruction from these unnatural frequencies escalating, along with ill-health and injury in populations, as 'wireless connectivity' is encouraged and pursued by governments. Decades of research is available and needs to be front and centre in decision-making, along with the more recent emergence of 'gold-standard science' which will help to close the gaps in knowledge. This is a worldwide problem which needs to be reversed to end the pollution and suffering.

EMF sensitivity is real. some people's nervous systems are reactive to even small amounts of EMF. cell phone standards for radiation are way too lax. at least match Europe's standards, which are a lot lower. the proliferation of cell phone towers/antennae is way too unregulated because exposure is not allowed to be considered in many jurisdictions.
