A commenter with a neurological condition requests independent research on chronic and combined RF exposu…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am writing to express my concern about the potential long-term health effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure, particularly from the rapidly expanding use of wireless technologies. As someone living with a chronic neurological condition, I am especially concerned about how environmental exposures may affect individuals with neurological disorders, children, and other potentially vulnerable populations. I believe we deserve a better understanding of the cumulative effects of exposure from cell towers, Wi-Fi networks, smart devices, and other sources of radiofrequency radiation. Our daily exposure to wireless technology has changed dramatically over the past several decades, yet important questions remain about long-term health outcomes, cumulative exposure, and whether existing regulatory standards adequately account for potentially vulnerable populations. I urge HHS and the FCC to prioritize independent, transparent, and publicly funded research examining the potential biological and neurological effects of chronic radiofrequency exposure. Research should specifically consider children, individuals with preexisting health conditions, and the effects of multiple simultaneous sources of exposure. I also encourage federal agencies to reevaluate existing exposure standards in light of current technologies and emerging scientific evidence, improve public transparency, and consider reasonable precautionary measures while scientific uncertainties remain. Technology and public health should not be competing priorities. We can embrace innovation while demanding rigorous scientific evaluation and meaningful safeguards. The American public deserves clear information, independent research, and safety standards that reflect the realities of modern wireless exposure.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Better real-world personal and environmental dosimetry is needed to characterize actual cumulative exposure from phones, Wi-Fi, base stations, IoT, and emerging sources rather than relying solely on worst-case or compliance-test scenarios. Standardized methods for population-level monitoring would strengthen future epidemiological research and public communication. Federal Research Priorities Highest-value gaps include: Long-term prospective studies of childhood and adolescent exposure with objective exposure assessment. Improved characterization of multi-source, real-world cumulative exposure. Independent replication and clarification of animal findings at environmentally relevant levels. Transparent, high-quality systematic reviews that fully address methodological concerns raised about recent WHO-commissioned work. Coordination across NIH, FDA, CDC, and FCC so research informs both health guidance and exposure standards.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
EMF’s are a legitimate concern to human health. The practice of grounding counters the negative effects to some degree. Many including myself have begun grounding while we sleep and experienced multiple positive benefits. I’m especially concerned about the deleterious brain development effects of EMFs on children, whose skulls are thinner and whose brains are more vulnerable. 5G is bad enough. 6G is coming. We cannot continue to allow the EMF bombardment of the populace and especially children in schools or who live close to towers without doing thorough and meaningful safety studies.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
The effects of these should be tested ASAP and all these cell phone towers should be tested repositioned away from schools and housing and possibly all taken down as 5G is not good for the human body. 6G should not be rolled out.. if necessary they should roll back to a frequency that is more compatible with human life. Testing should also be done on smart meters cell phone radiation held in your hand and Wi-Fi and what safe levels of all of these are and limit what these devices can emit. Let’s make all of the American population safe from these potentially dangerous technologies.

Describes successful analog-meter advocacy and concern about opt-out fees, reports accounts of symptoms w…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
To Whom It May Concern: I submit this comment as a concerned citizen and well-being advocate who spent more than two years helping a community member seek the right to retain an analog utility meter rather than being required to accept a wireless smart meter. At the start of this journey, I knew very little about electromagnetic fields (EMF), radiofrequency radiation (RF), smart meters, or electromagnetic sensitivity. However, through extensive research, conversations with physicians, researchers, engineers, and affected individuals across the country, I became convinced that these issues deserve far greater public health attention. Over the course of my advocacy, I reviewed scientific literature, books, articles, utility documents, and health reports. I also met many individuals who reported symptoms they associated with EMF and RF exposure, including sleep disturbances, anxiety, headaches, cognitive difficulties, fatigue, neurological symptoms, and cardiovascular concerns. I leaned upon well-respected organizations in the U.S. who are helping to advocate on these issues. While correlation does not prove causation, the consistency of these reports should not be dismissed and warrants serious, independent investigation. One area that particularly concerns me is the potential overlap between EMF-related symptoms and conditions commonly classified as mental health disorders. Although I am not a physician, I believe researchers should examine whether environmental electromagnetic exposures may cause, contribute, or exacerbate symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, attention disorders, and other neurological/behavioral conditions. Millions of Americans suffer from these disorders. We should ask whether some portion of these cases may have physiological contributors that remain insufficiently explored. I also believe additional research is needed regarding "dirty electricity," voltage transients, and the cumulative effects of chronic exposure to artificial electromagnetic environments. As technology becomes more embedded in daily life, public health research should keep pace. My advocacy effort resulted in a successful outcome, allowing the resident to keep an analog meter. More importantly, it highlighted a broader issue that could impact nearly 40,000 people in the community. Consumers should have the right to make informed choices about technologies placed on or near their homes, regardless of whether they qualify under disability laws. I am particularly troubled by utility policies that require customers to pay ongoing monthly fees to retain an analog meter. Such charges can create a financial penalty for exercising personal choice regarding health and safety concerns. These policies deserve regulatory review to ensure they are fair, transparent, and justified. In the course of this work, I encountered people who believed they experienced health challenges associated with long-term occupational or environmental EMF exposure. These experiences included cancer diagnoses, neurological symptoms, and cardiovascular concerns among individuals regularly exposed to radios, electrical equipment, wireless infrastructure, or other sources of electromagnetic radiation. These accounts are anecdotal and do not establish causation, but they reinforce the need for independent long-term research. I am also concerned about potential environmental impacts. Reports regarding pollinator health, including bee navigation and colony health, deserve thorough scientific examination. Given the importance of pollinators to agriculture and food security, even the possibility of adverse effects should be investigated. Likewise, the rapid expansion of wireless infrastructure, smart devices, connected vehicles, and large data centers raises important questions about cumulative environmental and human exposure. At a minimum, the public deserves transparency and informed consent. Consumers should receive clear information regarding the electromagnetic emissions associated with products and technologies they are asked to use. Public health agencies should support independent research, encourage open scientific inquiry, and ensure that innovation does not outpace safety evaluation. I respectfully urge HHS to prioritize research into the potential effects of EMF, RF radiation, and electrical pollution; support studies involving vulnerable populations; evaluate possible links to neurological and mental health symptoms; assess environmental impacts; and protect consumer choice regarding utility metering and other technologies. History has shown that responsible public health policy requires investigating emerging concerns before they become established crises. The concerns surrounding EMF exposure deserve that same level of attention today. Respectfully, Concerned Citizen and Well-Being Advocate

Alleges wireless technologies are used for nonconsensual experimentation and neural surveillance, invokes…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. It is obvious that our government and/or private companies are misusing and abusing capabilities of 5G and Wi-Fi technologies to conduct unlawful, unwarranted, and non-consensual experimentations on carbon-based lifeforms; i.e., humans and animals. What I say here is informed by reputable sources and projects currently available to the public. There are Github projects that illustrate how wifi alone can be used to track the physical position of people in a room or building. It shows that wifi alone is enough. In violation of the Nuremburg code, these tools could be used to measure electricity and brainwaves in humans and animals. You can see a project here https://www.darpa.mil/research/programs/next generation-nonsurgical-neurotechnology It literally says on the page "This program is now complete This content is available for reference purposes. This page is no longer maintained". The Constitution of the United States tells us that personal sovereignty is a right protected in that guarantee to pursue "Life, Liberty, and Personal Happiness". The Constitution specifically guarantees personal sovereignty and neural privacy in the 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th amendments. Third parties do not get to map a non-consenting American's brain for neural nets to be used in SI systems. The objectors often say "Oh, well, we cannot control the frequencies and EMF waves being blasted from the 5G towers across the country" That type of objection is faulty and technically incoherent. We set the rules with the FCC. The government has agencies that do signals. Congress just does not know which person to make an inquiry to. As a result, the government never does anything about it. No one in Congress (up on Capitol Hill) are technical enough to ask the right questions. Now companies are pushing 6G, 7G, and 8G. Even if the Congressmen (even young ones don't ask the right questions) did ask the right questions on Capitol Hill, the government would not give them the right answers. They either don't know enough or the wrong person is answering the inquiry. As Thomas Jefferson, the man who penned the Declaration of Independence for our country, said in passing, so I repeat to emphasize our country's philosophical roots: "I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” — Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Benjamin Rush, September 23, 1800. This quote is emblazoned in the Jefferson Memorial, which is just a short walk from the Washington, D.C. Holocaust Museum ironically (showing what our United States of America stood against in war. We freed the oppressed) I am aware that the objectors argue that no one cares and people sign their rights away all the time with tech companies. The objectors are wrong, however. Inventors and others (people who develop intellectual property) should not have to put up with being blasted with 5G/emfs/Wifi (to scan their brains for neural nets to be used in SI projects) without their consent as a reward for their subject matter expertise and success in life. Just ask James Giordano, PhD https://inss.ndu.edu/Media/News/Article/4599513/cia-mind-control-mkultra-energy-weapons-are-real-why-a-pentagon-advisor-wont-ru/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cPWJfjXu7M He's an expert in this area. https://inss.ndu.edu/Media/Biographies/Article-View/Article/4044640/james-giordano/ The Constitution of the United States is a holy and sacred document. The 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th amendment rights protect a person's sovereignty, privacy of their mind. Neither the government, private companies, nor other individuals can map another person's mind without their consent. People walking in the public square should not have to be concerned that databrokers and 5G/Wifi/EMF nuremburg code violators are teaming up to scan and sell their thoughts and neural pathways. It's unconstitutional and not allowed if you read CFAA. And it's not "conspiracy theory" as you can see from the citations above, you have experts talking about it. Go ask Schindler, he used to work in the DoD. He wrote this article: https://topsecretumbra.substack.com/p/the-greatest-threat-to-american-spies Some hypothesize that "Havana Syndrome" results from exposure to directed microwave or radiofrequency energy - these are the two leading theories under investigation. "Havana Syndrome" may be a result of weaponized/directed EMF/5G/Wifi blasts. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned citizen. I am concerned that the regulation of the safety of radio frequencies has not been updated since 1996. Since then, many new forms of wireless radiation, from cell phone towers to smart electronics have become ubiquitous in our lives. Personally, I have suffered from intense tinnitus for about 20 years. My husband has had heart arhythmias and tinnitus for a similar period of time. Otherwise, we are generally healthy. There is no way to know whether radio frequencies are causing these, yet I am suspicious that they are. Therefore I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

An animal behavior professional reports smart-meter measurements and personal Wi-Fi sensitivity, acknowle…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am a canine energetic behaviorist specializing in rehabilitating highly sensitive reactive dogs. I am concerned about the potential effects of electromagnetic exposure on animals and the environments in which they live and learn. Unlike humans, animals cannot understand these technologies, voice informed concerns, or choose to leave their environments. Many pet owners and animal professionals may not be aware of these potential concerns. I am submitting my observations to advocate for greater transparency, independent research, and the protection of animals who depend on us for their welfare. And for my own sensitivities. El Paso Electric installed an Itron smart meter on my building in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Before its removal, I documented readings using a GQ EMF-390 radiation detector from GQ Electronics LLC in Seattle, Washington. In two separate videos, the displayed readings spike to 84mW/m² and 781, respectively, with the spikes occurring approximately every three seconds before dissipating. According to the 390 detector's manufacturer's guidelines suggested RF readings are: Less than 10mW/m² considered safe, Above 10mW/m² warrant regular checking, readings above 1000mW/m² are not recommended for prolonged stays, and readings above 10,000 mW/m² warrant avoiding prolonged stays. As seen in video the EMF, & (AC)EF readings are also shown. I cannot establish whether the meter affected the dog's behavior during the few classes that we had while the meter was installed. I believe dogs can be relatively compared to children. Reactivity has many potential contributing factors, including diet, environmental conditions, and the emotional state of their handlers. I have personally experienced sensitivity when my Wi-Fi router is operating, which is part of my concern about electromagnetic exposure. After repeatedly requesting three or four independent research studies demonstrating the safety of the installation from CEO Kelly Tomblin, I've received no response, I submitted a written addendum raising the possibility of legal action if the meter was not removed. The meter was subsequently removed. I am also concerned that public awareness of this request for comments has been inadequate, leaving many people unaware of the opportunity to participate. Personal experience has been everybody I have spoken to had no idea you were requesting input. I believe this issue deserved much wider public notice, including outreach through schools. I respectfully hope greater transparency, independent research, and meaningful public participation in evaluating potential health risks associated with electromagnetic exposures. I will submit the century link router reading video separately and provide the corresponding readings in a separate comment. Blessings to all who are helping to bring transparency & true safety to our American people, animals, & Earth. I hope it won't take another 5 years of continuing to use American people for guinea pigs to put adequate safety standards on electronic going out. The videos were too large so I posted them to YouTube and here are the links. ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My sister-in-law has suffered from EMS since her school installed a super wi-fi system to power tablets for all students. As a result, she had to take disability since she could no longer work in the school environment without suffering severe symptoms. This was over 12 years ago and despite everything she has done to mitigate her exposure to wi-fi, cell services, radar, and more, her entire life has never been the same. Since reading more articles about the adverse effects of 5G and other radiation fields, we no longer allow our grandchildren to use wireless services or cell phones. The impact on our health needs to be better studied as it has been in Europe and elsewhere.
