The commenter reports sleep disruption, nosebleeds and digestive symptoms after a gas smart meter was mov…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have been affected my smart meters, close proximity of cell towers, and Wi-Fi. Gas company moved a meter on the back side of my house to the front side less than 1 /12 feet from the head of my bed. They installed a smart meter (I had NO SAY in this). I started waking up for no reason and had difficulty getting back to sleep; unexplained nose bleeds; and a digestive condition started causing me problems at night when it normally calms down! I consulted with an EMF expert, and she immediately found the issue. I have spent $100s (including expert's fee) on blocking material, etc. I contacted engineer at Cascade Natural Gas, and he gave me the typical smart meter "no problem" song and dance. Luckily, I don't run Wi-Fi in my house since I had all connections hard wired. Wi-Fi in hotels and other lodging has cause same issues (primarily sleep). When I am staying in motels, etc. I turn off or unplug (if possible) wi-fi routers etc. I have purchased various personal shielding (again several $100s) that I use when sleeping in motel, etc. I have friends that are more sensitive than I am!! I implore the HHS to take action on these issues! Affects are REAL!

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I have EMF sensitivity, particularly to 5G and WiFi. When 5G was turned on in my neighborhood, I couldn't sleep for several days. I purchased a special bed cover to reduce its effect which helped but didn't eliminate it. I only travel if I can be assured of not being in WiFi exposure - which limits me greatly because WiFi is so prevalent. WiFi's effect on me has worsened over recent years because WiFi manufacturers have increased the power/range of their WiFi equipment. Please re-consider the testing and limits allowed for wireless equipment.

The commenter reports electromagnetic sensitivity following concussion, neurological and cardiac symptoms…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Public Comment on Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity Submitted to: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Docket: HHS-OASH-2026-0397 I am submitting this comment as someone who has experienced significant symptoms that I associate with electromagnetic field (EMF) and radiofrequency (RF) exposure. I have a history of concussion, and my electromagnetic sensitivity began after my concussion in 2018. My symptoms include intense head pressure, heat and burning or tingling in my head and face, ear pressure, rapid heart rate, and chest fluttering. Symptoms have occurred in environments such as airports, train and bus stations, hybrid vehicles, and anywhere where wifi is present. Traveling on highways is difficult because cell towers create symptoms while in the car. I cannot have wifi or streaming in my home, and must drive a car without updated electronic/wireless systems. Symptoms can take three to four days to subside. These experiences have affected my daily life. I recognize that my experiences alone cannot establish causation. However, I believe that people experiencing these symptoms deserve compassionate medical evaluation and rigorous scientific investigation. I respectfully ask HHS to: Fund independent research into electromagnetic hypersensitivity, including possible neurological, autonomic, and other physiological mechanisms. Investigate whether people with a history of concussion or other neurological conditions may experience different symptom patterns upon exposure. Conduct a transparent review of the scientific evidence underlying current RF exposure standards, including uncertainties and potential health effects that remain insufficiently understood. Develop clinical guidance to help healthcare professionals evaluate and treat people reporting electromagnetic sensitivity without dismissing their symptoms or assuming an unproven cause. Include affected individuals in setting research priorities and evaluating practical approaches to improving their quality of life. The cause of my symptoms remains uncertain, but their impact is real. I urge HHS to take these experiences seriously, support rigorous research, and ensure that people reporting electromagnetic sensitivity receive appropriate medical attention. Thank you for considering my comments.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Please examine the relationship between the effects of EMF, RF, and wireless radiation on the hormones, development, and mental health of pre-teen and teenage chuldren. Premature and neurosensitive children in particular may suffer mental distress frequently m chronic exposure. The lack of meaningful research is stark in relation to the proliferation of internet and social media is a public health crisis and irresponsible governance. Thank you for asking for comment.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I would like to share with you today some information about what I believe may be the single most important cause of numerous health conditions in our modern society: Radiofrequency Radiation Exposure. The evidence is documented on the website of the Environmental Health Trust (ehtrust.org). According to this website, from 1980 to present, there has been a 70-fold increase in ambient RFR. I became aware of the issue about three years ago, after moving into a new location with Extreme levels of exposure to radiofrequencies (RF) and actually becoming unwell. To know my exposure, I had purchased a meter specifically for this purpose, because you can't see RF and most people aren't as affected. The symptoms I developed were insomnia, hearing high pitched noises (probably tinnitus though I never got a diagnosis), anxiety, and eye pain/pressure. It took me doing a lot of research, talking to consultants in the field, and trying out different things to find the solutions that would address the issue. I got better as I implemented them. Here are links to some of the best websites I have found on the issue. https://ehtrust.org/science/electromagnetic-sensitivity/ https://www.emfanalysis.com/ https://buildingbiologyinstitute.org/find-an-expert/certified-consultants/electromagnetic-radiation-specialists/cathy-cooke-bbec-emrs/ RF Meters Safe Living Technologies stocks the RF Meters that measure Radio Frequency, Microwave, and High-Frequency Electr... The commenter describes diagnosed EMR syndrome and exposure-management measures, proposes research on cum…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am responding as a patient, advocate, and concerned member of the public. Ques.3(a)–(g) Personal Experience Six years ago, my environmental health physician diagnosed me with EMR syndrome. My exposures included extensive computer use in college, working in a Wi-Fi-equipped building with computer labs and a Smartboard, making hundreds of photocopies daily, and living near a cell tower. Combined with mold exposure and stress, these factors coincided with years of debilitating illness. Symptoms I have experienced from RF/EMFs include tinnitus, headaches, burning throughout my body, facial burning after watching an iPhone video, gum mucoceles/cysts after cell phone use, tingling teeth/jaw, hip pain while wearing a cordless FM-microphone battery pack, nausea after dental X-rays, and anxiety. I manage symptoms with a low-RF/EMF lifestyle: silver-lined clothing, an RF-shielding canopy when living near a cell tower, an RF Safe cell phone QuantaCase, a BluShield plug-in device, and use corded technology when possible. An EMF building biologist assessed my home with meters and helped reduce exposure. I also take calcium, magnesium, and supplements intended to support glutathione production and replenish minerals. Ques. 11(a), (f), and (g) Sensitive Populations I am particularly concerned about children. The Epoch Times article, How Screen Time Affects Different Organs, by Arsh Sarao (11/1/25), reports that excessive screen time may reduce gray matter in brain areas involved in decision-making and emotional regulation. I have observed irritability, aggression, hyperactivity, and obstinance in children after screen use, and anger, agitation, and depression in adults following wireless exposure. I have noticed calmer behavior after consuming mineral water and calcium-rich foods. These observations deserve further investigation. Ques. 13(f), (j), and (k) Cumulative Exposure Research should assess cumulative close-to-body RF exposure from wireless earbuds, smartwatches, hearing aids, and health monitors, including devices tracking atrial fibrillation and diabetes; some communicate continuously via Bluetooth and smartphones. Consumers should retain the option of analog electric meters instead of RF transmitting smart meters. Landlines do not emit RF and should remain available, with funding to maintain copper lines. Incandescent bulbs should remain an option, and electromagnetic interference from LED/fluorescent lighting should be studied. Ques. 14 Environmental Effect Research should examine possible links between RF/EMF exposure, mold, and mycotoxin illness. Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt’s research, referenced in the July 2014 Townsend Letter (attached; p. 10), reportedly states that molds exposed to high EMF levels release up to 600 times more mycotoxins and also proliferate faster. These effects could potentially exacerbate symptoms in individuals already suffering from mold-related illness. Ques. 16 Federal Research Priorities I respectfully urge HHS to review Dr. Andrew Goldsworthy’s "The Biological Effects of Weak Electromagnetic Fields" (attached). Goldsworthy proposes that electromagnetic fields may increase cell-membrane permeability, allowing calcium ions to leak into cells. Calcium regulates nerve signaling, muscle contraction, and inflammation; disrupted balance could affect multiple body systems and explain reported multisystem symptoms. Goldsworthy’s work deserves serious consideration and further study. In addition, The EMF Medical Conference 2021 recordings (see References) provide valuable research and clinical observations from physicians and RF/EMF experts and should be reviewed. Ques. 18 Recommendations I recommend that HHS consider the following: -Promote public service announcements and safer-technology education, especially for children, using Environmental Health Trust materials (see References). -Set school health standards for responsible technology use. -Expand public access to RF/EMF meters and detectors for purchase or rental. -Add EMF building biology tracks to college/university environmental science programs. -Encourage schools, workplaces, hospitals, and residential facilities to use qualified EMF building biologists for assessments and remediation. -Recommend that municipalities employ EMF building biologists to assess cumulative emissions from smart meters, cell towers, and other RF infrastructure. -Investigate exposure-reduction approaches discussed by Goldsworthy, including Balanced Signal Technology and resonance/scalar-frequency methods. -Limit X-rays and other imaging to medical necessity and explore tracking patients’ cumulative imaging exposure. Conclusion I respectfully ask HHS to investigate these concerns with scientific rigor, consider affected individuals’ experiences, and develop practical measures to protect public health while allowing people to make informed choices about technology. Thank you for the opportunity to share my experiences and views.

An Army veteran discusses alleged microwave and psychotronic weapons, reports voices and sleep disruption…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Hello. My name is Rodney Decosta. I am a Army veteran from Maine. The 7 July 1997 issue of U.S. News and World Report described several of them designed, among other things, to vibrate the insides of humans, stun or nauseate them, put them to sleep, heat them up, or knock them down with a shock wave. These waves, which can penetrate buildings, offer a host of opportunities for military and law enforcement officials. Microwave weapons, by stimulating the peripheral nervous system, can heat up the body, induce epileptic-like seizures, or cause cardiac arrest. Low-frequency radiation affects the electrical activity of the brain and can cause flu-like symptoms and nausea. Other projects sought to induce or prevent sleep, or to affect the signal from the motor cortex portion of the brain, overriding voluntary muscle movements. The term "psycho-terrorism" was coined by Russian writer N. Anisimov of the Moscow Anti-Psychotronic Center. According to Anisimov, psychotronic weapons are those that act to "take away a part of the information which is stored in a man's brain. It is sent to a computer, which reworks it to the level needed for those who need to control the man, and the modified information is then reinserted into the brain." These weapons are used against the mind to induce hallucinations, sickness, mutations in human cells, "zombification," or even death. I hear voices, I get vibrated awake, I get bouts of zombification. I ask that you merely consider what is happening to me and countless others in my situation are completely sane and that we are under attack. The homeland security hearing on "Silent weapons" resonated deeply with me. But unfortunately people do not consider that Havana symptoms reach deep and wide into civilian life. The commenter alleges directed-energy and auditory harassment, reports cognitive and physical symptoms an…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I'm an individual that retired from the federal government and was also in the military. I have been exposed to RF/EMF and auditory harassment on a regular basis for the last 5-6 months and possibly covert for even longer. I believe the exposure to have come from energy directed weapons. The reason I say energy directed weapons is because in one instance there was so much energy pushed down onto me that my ceiling fan slowed down while I was sitting in my living room. The energy followed me from my house to the airport parking lot, on the airport shuttle bus, and inside the airport. This particular attack caused me to be disoriented (foggy brain, to include an increased ringing like tinnitus) and also caused a loss of memory. The exposure was so intense I had to cancel my flight and I also forgot where I parked my car. They have also used fans and cars to push music and sounds to me as well. I routinely have had pin pricks, increased heat and pressure on my body for the last 6 months to include an increased pressure on vital areas to include organs and testicles. They've also used the energy combined with auditory effects (voice to skull). The steps I've taken to attempt to reduce any exposure is to use some type of metal or aluminum on the affected area though that has minimal effect at stopping these transmissions on my person. The harassment continues throughout the day and started back in June of this year when I was on a trip in Oregon and they have followed me wherever I go. I've used a magnetic frequency detector on my phone to measure exposure to RF and that routinely reads 850 nanoTesla. Though I do not know if that reading is accurate. I was also exposed to what I assume was psychological warfare though the "voice to skull/frey effect" as they can capture all of our thoughts and use them to harass and alter our moods in combination with the directed energy weapons. The care providers did not provide any additional guidance to measure any of the issues so guidance for the health care industry would be critical in helping people. Homeland security should be monitoring the RF and energy exposure to peoples homes when events like these are reported so that the satellites can be tracked down and turned off. Maybe an RF defense system can be created and put in place so that Americans can be protected, just like we have in the ballistic missile defense system. I've also reported this to local law enforcement in two states as well as the FBI and none of them are provided any assistance in helping with the issue, which I understand considering there has been any federal research conducted in these areas. With the advent of bone induction, research on the use of the Frey effect and voice to skull technologies need to be revisited on a larger and more in depth scale. Findings of this research and existing programs should be communicated on a large scale and instructions for law enforcement/health providers should be established, to include a database that tracks the events to include where and when.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Hello, so my family and I have had the opportunity to live away from 5G and than again back into 5G. We were in an area for 3 years with 5G in our neighborhood. We had sicknesses often, and health issues constant. Whether it being sick as many times as every two months for sure we would get bugs and it would go through family. It was an older home so I figured that might have to do with it. We then moved into an area that has no 5G and surrounded by old growth trees. We all lived there for 1 year and through the worst bugs going through our schools and workplaces. We never got sick once in the whole year. Two winters…. Then we moved again to a new house back in 5G area. And we are now all getting sick constantly again. I would say more frequent. And bad sleeps. (Waking up so tired) We are now very close to a 5G box. And have seen direct correlation with our immunity and 5G. Our Immune system functions way better away from 5G. The house we were in when we moved away from 5G even had mold in it and dead animals behind the walls. That should have made us more sick. But it never. It was no sicknesses because we were far away from 5G. Also we only had one WiFi box in the house. At all times. But in the urban centers we are surrounded by neighbours with WiFi also… so that could be adding to it. But a huge difference when living urban with many signals compared to in an area that is away from signals, on our immunity…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My son had debilitating migraines when he was young. He would hold his head and rock back and forth in so much pain. Someone suggested we turn off our Wifi. I said that's crazy, how can we live without Wifi? We finally tried it as we were desperate. We hard wired everything and unplugged our router. He has never had another migraine!! That was 10 years ago! Many times when I stay in a hotel (with intense wifi and EMFs) I get a migraine. EMF sensitivity is real! Some of us feel the effects physically, but we are ALL affected. Most just don't realize it!!
