I have EMR Syndrome (electromagnetic/radio microwave syndrome), meaning I get sick from exposure to those fields including frequent and severe migraines, digestive issues, restless sleep, fatigue, bruising, eye floaters and ringing in my ears. With the high EMR my body succumbs easily to metals, parasites and tick borne illnesses. I work with several medical professionals so these conditions are well documented. Recent annual testing show that physically I am healthy and have no chronic illnesses that require regular pharmaceutical medicines. Cumulative EMF and RF Fields With the increasing objects emitting more and more EMR fields in our environment, these days my tolerance level has become lower and lower. The accumulation of all the fields of all the devices in our environment far exceeds any reasonable standard established for the individual devices, when each one is declared “safe”. The mitigation measures I’ve taken, at great personal expense, is so I can live comfortably in my home. However outside my home, the accumulation of dirty electricity and radio-microwave fields together, if I have meetings or am in a room with Wifi, LED lights/dirty electricity and a group of people who all have their phone turned on, the fields are intolerable to me triggering a migraine even wearing shielding clothing. ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I believe that emf sensitivity is real and that it affects more people than we realize. I would love to see a comprehensive study on public health (long covid, miscarriage, still birth, chronic illnesses, cancer etc) in relation to 5 g towers, data centers, power plants, wind mill and solar farms and substations. God created this would perfect and were are detected from it (plastic everything) and its destroying our natural vibrational frequencies and causing mass issues across the board. We accelorated this when cell companies and data centers decided that there should be no safe space to be disconnected. "can you hear me now?" "Good" except was it good? is having artificial frequencies blasted at our heads 24 hours a day actually good for us? or could it be a major player in the massive epidemic of chronic illness sweeping the nation. I have attached a document answering many of the questions asked about. Please take the time to read. Thank you for considering this. Please help protect us and our children.

A biomedical researcher requests rigorous studies of EMF mechanisms, exposure measurement and possible fu…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Public Comment — HHS-OASH-2026-0397 I hold a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Molecular Medicine) from the University of Iowa and a BSc in Biology from Tufts University. My background includes over three years of medical training in an MD/PhD program, biomedical research, and environmental health research development. My current work focuses on real-time indoor fungal monitoring and citizen-science approaches to understanding environmental exposures and health. I have personally experienced significant illness associated with water-damaged, mold-affected indoor environments. I cannot establish that electromagnetic fields (EMFs) contributed to my illness, nor am I reporting confirmed electromagnetic hypersensitivity. My experience has nevertheless reinforced the importance of investigating poorly characterized environmental exposures before preventable harms become widespread. Biological mechanisms: Non-ionizing radiation lacks sufficient photon energy to directly ionize molecules, but that distinction does not establish biological inertness. Human physiology depends on membrane potentials, ion transport, and electrochemical signaling. Under appropriate conditions, external electric and time-varying magnetic fields induce currents and affect excitable tissues, as demonstrated by medical applications such as transcranial magnetic stimulation. These established effects do not prove that everyday wireless exposures cause neurological harm. They do justify evaluating specific frequencies, field strengths, modulation patterns, and durations rather than treating non-ionizing status alone as a safety determination. Environmental interactions: I encourage HHS to examine whether EMFs can influence indoor fungal physiology, including growth, sporulation, allergen production, oxidative-stress responses, or secondary metabolism. This is a hypothesis, not an established explanation for mold-related illness. Evidence that ordinary household wiring, Wi-Fi, or cellular signals increase mold virulence or toxicity is insufficient. Controlled studies should compare realistic exposures with sham conditions and measure fungal outcomes while controlling for moisture, temperature, substrates, and ventilation. Low-frequency electrical fields and radiofrequency wireless exposures should be evaluated separately. Exposure assessment: Better personal and building-level measurements are essential to identifying meaningful exposure-health relationships. I recommend validated, time-resolved monitoring of relevant exposure characteristics, combined with building data, objective health outcomes, and carefully designed longitudinal or citizen-science studies. Studies should address confounding, exposure misclassification, selection bias, privacy, and reproducibility. Clinical research: Individuals reporting symptoms they attribute to EMFs deserve respectful care and rigorous investigation. Blinded provocation studies have generally not established a consistent causal link between everyday RF exposure and reported electromagnetic hypersensitivity symptoms. Future research should investigate symptoms and potential contributing factors without presuming either causation or dismissal, and should consider populations with distinct exposure or health vulnerabilities. I ask HHS to prioritize: (1) independent, reproducible mechanistic studies at environmentally relevant exposure levels; (2) improved electromagnetic dosimetry and longitudinal exposure assessment; (3) exploratory research on EMF interactions with indoor microbiology; (4) interdisciplinary collaboration across neuroscience, biophysics, environmental epidemiology, microbiology, and building science; and (5) accessible, evidence-based public guidance that clearly distinguishes established risks from uncertainty. The absence of conclusive evidence of harm is not proof of safety; equally, plausible mechanisms and reported symptoms are not proof of causation. Preventative public health depends on investigating uncertainty with rigor and transparency, so individuals can understand their environments and make informed decisions. Reports electromagnetic hypersensitivity, relocation from New York, cardiac and sensory symptoms attribut…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am writing as an individual consumer/patient and am hypersensitive to electromagnetic radiation. I had lived in NYC for several decades but had to move out (to a small town in a rural area) when wifi was installed on the subways in NYC, and many were using their cell phones on the subway. (People get around in NYC primarily by public transportation so the subways are generally crowded.) I moved out in September 2019. My symptoms when exposed to RF/EMF are cardiac and tingling in my hands and feet. An additional likely symptom, based on an overnight EEG which showed a “blip of a partial seizure,” is that my brain becomes “irritable.” I develop a weird sensation in my heart when exposed to cell phones. If the exposure is strong enough and long enough, the sensation flips into an arrhythmia. It is much worse in a confined space where the cell phone puts out a stronger signal. The worst incident of this happened when a friend drove me from NYC to Hudson, the small town where I now live. She used GPS on her cell phone for the entire trip which was maybe 1 to 1 1/2 hours even though I asked her to turn it off. I developed a severe arrhythmia which continued for 6 to 8 months after the exposure on the drive. I saw a cardiologist to evaluate same, but it took months to get the appointment since the provider came to Hudson from Albany only occasionally. By the time I saw her, the arrhythmia had stopped. After testing, she said that my heart was “strong” and that the prolonged arrhythmia was the result of exposure to a “stress”—obviously the cell phone radiation in a confined space. If I walk down the one main street in the little town where I now live on a sunny day—when lots of people are always out walking many looking at their cell phones, I develop the “weird sensation” in my heart so I can only walk on the lovely main street at night or on a rainy day when few people are out and so there is little cell phone exposure. Neurological symptoms include tingling in my hands and feet even when exposed to even relatively minor amount of RF/EMF. The other likely neurological symptom started when cell phone towers first went up. I saw a neurologist for another symptom, and he ordered an overnight EEG. He said that on the overnight EEG, I had a “blip of a partial seizure.” He said that I did not have a seizure disorder but rather that my brain was “irritable.” I then told him about recent experiences of being a block or two away from my apartment building, where everything looked familiar, but for a minute, I could not figure out how to get back to my apartment building. Then I would know how to get back. In a similar manner, when I changed subway trains, I sometimes would have a minute in which I could not figure out how to get from one train to another even though I had changed trains in the same place hundreds of times. Then it would come back. The neurologist said that this was the “blip of a partial seizure.” I started taking two capsules of magnesium taurate 3X per day, and this stopped these episodes. When I tried to stop early on, these episodes would return so I have been taking the magnesium taurate ever since. I do not know for sure that my brain being “irritable” was caused by RF/EMF, but it seems likely.

1. & 2. I am responding as: an individual 3a. Type of wireless or RF/EMF sources involved (e.g., mobile phones, Wi-Fi, smart meters…)RFMW from Mobile Phones, Wi Fi routers and Cell Towers 3b. Nature, duration, frequency, and approximate timing (e.g., years):Started to notice head warmth around 2003, by 2009 started to associate wireless with headaches. and around 2012 blurred vision happens even when wearing shielding clothing. Around 2019 instant headache passing cell tower or when people next to me turned cell phone on or a call came in. Bloody noise after being in wireless room for 3 or 4 hours. 3c. Adverse health effect(s) experienced: Warm side of head where phone was used, vice grip headache around temples, shooting pain in head, blurred vision, bloody noise and the sound of my voice changes to me like I am in a metal room. 3d. Time from first exposure to first appearance of adverse health effects; and did a change in exposure coincide with the onset of adverse effects: Noticed immediately using a cordless phone, moving away knowing Wi Fi router was close, shooting pain passing cell tower on highway or cell phone turned on. Sometimes it can take 20 to 30 minutes before I notice adverse effects if people near me have a cell phone on or Wi Fi is in the building. 3e. Was medical evaluation or treatment sought? (Optionally:) Was there a diagnosis? EHS diagnosis at the E.H.C. at W.C.H. in Toronto in 2015. 3f. Were steps taken to reduce or eliminate exposure, and were there subsequent changes in the effects?Home is hardwired and no cell tower in sight, do not use mobile phones, use shielding if I am in public, turn off wireless devices whenever I can at work or visiting family/friends. Use PEMF Therapy as my antidote and bio geometry to reduce exposure. 3g. Any supporting documentation? This includes Scientific Reports, exposure measurements, or other relevant information: Educated and worked as Electrical/Electronic Technologist. I use Microwave meters & Magnetic Field meters to measure my environment. Noticed drastic increase in transmissions from cell phones, Wi Fi Routers, Cell Towers and smart meters around 2019 and then again around 2023. Additional Details you would like to share about your experiences of adverse health effects you believe to be associated with exposure to wireless radiation or EMF's: Doctor and Naturopath could not find anything wrong with me. A medical Intuitive suggested a dormant bacteria or fungal. After following parasite protocols for 4 months due to a wrong diagnosis, my adverse effects have lessened. B1a. Sources you experience as causing you Adverse Effects: Cell Phones, Wi Fi Routers and Cell Towers B1b. Sources you can sense, but don't seem to harm you: Low Frequency and Low Intensity PEMF devices B1c. Sources you can use without sensing or being harmed: Magnetic Fields from Electronic control panels, Electric motors or electrical breaker panels B1d. Health conditions you think may contribute to your sensitivity to EMFs including wireless: Excellent Health but after following parasite protocols for 4 months due to a wrong diagnosis, my adverse effects have lessened. Now after 20 or 30 minutes in a wireless environment it seems like my voice sounds like I am in a metal room. Still get what feels like a kick in the head when a cell phone is turned on or a phone call comes in. B2b. Health conditions you don't necessarily associate with your sensitivity to EMFs including wireless, but might be relevant: I am in excellent health but I have electrocuted myself at work several times. Describes people who developed wireless sensitivity after environmental illness and face work and buildin…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My late wife was teaching in a sick building in San Francisco in 1989 and was environmentally injured. Because of this we got involved in a support group for people with similar difficulties. Over the years, because of my involvement with that group, I've met many people whose neurological reactions to environmental exposures resulted in them developing sensitivites to wireless technology. I don't know anyone who was actually injured by using wireless technoclogy, but I know plenty of people who cannot tolerate being around electro-magnetic radiation. This has profoundly interfered with being able to work and even with access to many buildings. I don't know the ins and outs of legislative issues surrounding this, but I do know that telecommunications companies have managed to pass laws that even make it illegal for residents of a community to oppose cell towers and 5G technology on health grounds. I have read that In 1996 the telecom industry got a law passed to bring toxic wireless radiation to market with no safety testing, and no accountability for harm. Obviously something is not right about that. Since the issue is now in the forefront, I support all possible caution and investigation into these issues rather than a continued violation of consumers' rights to protection from harm.

Proposes a causal relationship between RF exposure and central sensitivity illnesses, including electrohy…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Since my comment exceeds 5000 characters, I´m sending it as an attached file. It collects my personal experience on how electromagnetic fields have affected my physical and mental health. The thesis I defend, supported by different scientific research, is that there is a direct cause-effect relationship between radiofrequency and central sensitivity illnesses (fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivity, electrohypersensitivity). These illnesses, only recently on scene, affect millions of people all over the world. If the research proves that these illnesses are caused by inadequate limits for wireless technologies, the human, working, economic and social costs can be huge.

Reports EMR syndrome, worsening migraines and sleep loss, changes to caregiving work, relocation and exte…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I was living a total "normal life" with a partner and three children, working as a carer in many different homes. Since a young age I had occasionaly migraines and suffered from those, but in 2020 they became very reccurent and so sore to the point where I thought they was blood dripping inside my scalp around my brain. They got so bad that I ended having some ophtalmic migraines followed by hemiplegia migraines. I also have had a few tiny strokes !!! I used to sleep up to 2 hours tops at night no matter what I did. I then realised that my headaches were getting worse in some places I worked at, and not so bad in others. At home it wasn't getting any better. I by miracle (and I say miracle otherwise i'd probably be dead by now) understood that the wireless exposure were the things that made me have EMR Syndrome symptoms just by swtiching my wifi off one night. I started minimising my hours at work and obvisously the work placements therefore I wouldn't suffer as much. I then had to run away from home because even by doing all that, things weren't getting any better as they was a 5G antenna 400 meters away from my house... I had to leave everything, and lost everything just because I was living in a microwave that i never asked for and didn't want to end up burning up like a piece of alluminium in a micro wave. I now live in a safe place with hardly any neighbours, don't go out, don't see anyone unless they switch their wireless equipement off such as mobile phones, connected watch, Bluetooth items etc etc ! All of those things have to stay away from the house I where live now. I sleep in a Faraday cage, and use the strict miminum the electricity. I can't go to the kids school parties, go to weddings, go on holidays, see family etc, all I can do is stay isolated at home, it isn't fair at all as I never asked or even needed all this technology to destroy me and my life. This has to stop as I am sure many people are sufferring around the world and probably being called pshychos when in reality they are far from it.
