Hello H.H.S., I am pleased to correspond with you. On the matter of E.M.F.
exposure and particularly the roll-out of technology such as 5-G, I certainly want to be informed and have opportunity to consent or not, as a citizen, to the type and level of exposure I can expect from such systems. The rapid deployment of 5-G without the ability to have informed consent, which is like mandated policies during the Covid situation, is not safe and acceptable.
Even without encyclopedic knowledge I am aware and very respectful of the reality that our bodies function with varied, subtle, and delicately balanced electro-magnetic systems. Therefore it seems obvious for our healthy functioning to guard against exposures tending to disrupt these balances to our healthy states. Like the fact that effects from vaccines can not be qualified without long term studies on them, the effects to health by E.M.F."s need thorough examination before people are affected by them. I look forward to learning from the efforts being made at H.H.S. to gather information and understanding of systems which can be greatly affecting our well-being.
Thank you, Mark Hofmann
All these EMFs and radiation are not necessary.
They also be kept the smallest levels
We were all healthier before this stuff started.
Many of us get very sick when exposed to these things
They’ve already proven the fact that mold and bacteria gross 600 times faster when exposed to EMF’S. It’s making so many diseases worse than what they already were especially for children and elderly. Disease and sicknesses that were barely heard of years ago now running at outrageously high rate. We need to save our people and our children and lower these things as much as possible as soon as possible.
Please help us find a way to avoid EMF and the harm it does. Right now it cost a fortune to buy products to try and protect ourselves and we still can’t escape the harm. If the products and towers are not safe we should be able to opt out.
We have to cut down on the dangerous exposure that we all experience daily living in the USA. We cannot allow private companies/organizations to increase our exposure for the sake of making a buck. Please, Federal Government, make laws to protect humans from unhealthy and damaging exposure to electromagnetic exposure.
We, as humans, are exposed everywhere we go to the “WiFi Soup” surrounding us. We can’t go on a cruise, an airplane, a grocery store-anyplace- without exposure to electromagnetic radiation. Babies are conceived under WiFi, and born under WiFi. For we who are sensitive, heavy electro radiation frequencies feel like a tight stab in our chests. We can counteract and get some relief from the damage by grounding mats, walking on the earth or sand. I’ve known about these dangers since 2012, and it’s still barely even known about by your average person. Please, let’s create federal laws around this, and not bow down to the greed of major corporations that profit from using these dangerous electromagnetic frequencies that affect our health. M. DeSoto
This is in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. It is shocking that with how much wireless technology and infrastructure have increased dramatically in recent years, the FCC has not updated its RF exposure guidelines since 1996! This is unacceptable in the United States of America.
As a parent who has witnessed the negative impacts of wireless exposure on my children, I urge HHS to take a more proactive role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Urgent and honest science needs to be done on this issue, with no increases in exposure levels allowed until it is determined that the current levels are even safe.
Thank you for allowing me to be heard.
I am writing regarding the FCC’s response to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals’ remand concerning its decades-old radiofrequency (RF) radiation exposure guidelines.
This issue matters to me personally because:
I am a 34 year old woman whose life has been profoundly affected by a chronic, debilitating health condition, and who has spent nearly two decades searching for answers.
My chronic migraines began when I was 15 years old. Around that time, a cell tower was constructed approximately 0.2 miles directly behind my family’s home. I cannot claim that this tower caused my illness, but the timing of these events has remained significant to me throughout my health journey.
My symptoms quickly became so severe that I had to reduce my high school schedule. I woke up nearly every morning with debilitating migraines and vertigo, often unable to function. At one point, I missed more than 30 consecutive days of school. My family and I went from doctor to doctor, desperately searching for the underlying cause. I was prescribed countless medications in an effort to manage my symptoms, many of which came with adverse effects. My education suffered, my grades declined, and what should have been a formative, exciting period of my life became a daily struggle to get through the day.
Rather than improving with age, my condition became progressively more severe. By age 26, I was experiencing symptoms that I associated with exposure to wireless devices and infrastructure. My arms would go numb while using my phone. I experienced stabbing pains in my head and stomach when people with cell phones came near me or when I was in areas near cell towers. As newer wireless technologies were introduced, I became increasingly concerned about the relationship between these exposures and my symptoms.
My family went to extraordinary lengths to try to help me. We invested significant money in completely hardwiring our home and removing all wireless devices in an effort to reduce my potential exposure and find some measure of relief. This was not a casual lifestyle choice; it was a response to the debilitating reality of my daily life and our desperation to find answers. My family has had to make significant adjustments to our home and way of living because of the severity of my condition. The fact that my health concerns have required these kinds of sacrifices speaks to just how profoundly this has affected not only my life, but the lives of the people who love and support me.
Also, when 5G technology was introduced in stadiums, attending sporting events became extraordinarily difficult for me because of the debilitating migraines I experienced. Travel became another challenge. Wi-Fi on airplanes, Bluetooth connections, and the wireless devices used by people around me became sources of concern as I struggled to manage my symptoms. Activities that most people take for granted; attending a game, boarding a plane, going into public spaces, or simply being around other people, became obstacles I had to weigh against the possibility of becoming severely ill.
The consequences have extended far beyond physical pain. This condition has isolated me from experiences, relationships, opportunities, and the independence that most adults work toward building. I have struggled to maintain the health necessary to work consistently and support myself. Today, at 34 years old, I remain financially and physically dependent on my parents in ways I never imagined would define my adult life.
I would give anything to have the freedom to attend a sporting event without fearing the consequences, travel without anticipating debilitating pain, work toward financial independence, and participate in everyday life without having to calculate the potential cost to my health.
No one should have to spend nearly two decades fighting to reclaim a life they feel they have lost, while wondering whether an environmental exposure could be contributing to their suffering. People deserve answers. They deserve rigorous science, transparency, and a regulatory process willing to examine difficult questions.
I urge the FCC to give meaningful consideration to the experiences and evidence before it and to fully address each of the issues identified by the court.
As an attorney, I participated in litigation to oppose the placement of a High Voltage 765 KV Transmission Line across farmland and Native American territories in upstate New York in 1977. We presented evidence of harm from Canadian records where such lines already existed. The evidence showed genetic changes in farm animals and in farm vegetation, and increased cases of cancer in people who lived and worked close to the high voltage lines. The Court wrote a thorough opinion reviewing the evidence and concluded that the New York State Power Authority had to purchase a right of way twice as wide as the one they proposed, to minimize the expected harm to surrounding human and other life. AS a result of our experience, my husband and I have minimized our exposure to EMFs and WIFI and mobile phones as much as possible and will not live within sight of a medium or high voltage transmission line. As a wellness adviser in addition to my legal practice, I advise the same to my clients and have met a number of people who feel uneasy and hypersensitive around EMFs. Recent research continues to accumulate the same kind of results as we heard during that court case. Thank you for the opportunity to leave a comment for the HHS.
I appreciate the opportunity to provide comments in response to this Request for Information. The widespread use of wireless technologies, including mobile phones, Wi‑Fi networks, smart devices, wearable technologies, and expanding telecommunications infrastructure, makes this an important public health issue worthy of continued scientific evaluation. HHS has stated that the purpose of this RFI is to assess the current state of evidence, identify research gaps, compare regulatory approaches, and support evidence-based policymaking.
I encourage HHS to place particular emphasis on the following areas:
Long-term exposure research
Much of the public concern relates not to short-term exposure but to cumulative exposure over many years. Longitudinal studies examining health outcomes following decades of exposure would help address persistent uncertainties and improve risk assessment.
Children and vulnerable populations
Children, pregnant women, and individuals with existing health conditions should receive special consideration. Further research should examine whether exposure patterns, physiology, or developmental factors may warrant different risk assessments for these groups.
Independent and transparent research
Public confidence depends upon transparency. HHS should prioritize systematic reviews that clearly distinguish between established findings, emerging evidence, and areas where evidence remains insufficient or conflicting.
Exposure measurement and real-world conditions
Studies should focus on realistic modern exposure scenarios, including combined exposure from multiple wireless devices and sources commonly found in homes, schools, workplaces, and public environments.
International standards comparison
HHS should review and compare domestic and international approaches to RF/EMF exposure standards in order to identify areas of consensus, disagreement, and scientific uncertainty.
Public information and risk communication
The public would benefit from clear, accessible information explaining what is known, what remains uncertain, and practical steps individuals may take if they wish to reduce personal exposure.
In conclusion, I support continued scientific investigation into RF/EMF exposure and health effects. Policymaking should be guided by transparent evaluation of all high-quality evidence, with particular attention to long-term exposure, vulnerable populations, and unresolved scientific questions. Continued research and open public discussion will help ensure that health protections remain appropriate as wireless technologies continue to evolve.
Thank you for considering these comments.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Stephen Marvin
All I can say is since the skies have sprayed with barium and aluminum, living next to new transmitters, smart water meters and smart electric meters, (we didn’t have choice), poisons in our food and water, politicians in the pants of big corporations, my gardens dying and we haven’t seen a frog in over 5 year, skin rashes and power surges, sun being dimmed (vitamin D), constant inflammation y’all need to start arresting those responsible for destroying our planet! We didn’t ask for this but evil delivered it!
