I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding as an individual with part of my experience with EMF damaging my health. I noticed over 20 years ago with my flip phone that when I put it up to my head, I got a headache, my head felt hot on the side of the phone and my arm and hand tingled and would sometimes go numb using it. Those feelings only got worse each time I got a new phone. I was told that it was my imagination, but it was not. This only happened when using a cell phone, and eventually a cordless phone, not when using a landline phone. My health issues increased over the years impacted by increased exposure to wifi, cell phones, cordless phones, 5G, Bluetooth and smart meters. Around 8 years ago when a smart meter was placed on my home without our permission my health deteriorated rapidly. I began having headaches, I would feel dizzy, nauseous and felt like I would faint when I was in the room closest to the meter. It was on the wall closest to my bedroom and I could not sleep there anymore. I had to move to the bedroom in the basement as far away as possible. I had heart palpitations, became nauseous in the house but would feel better outside away from the meter, wifi and phones. I became extra sensitive to any type of electric system. I couldn’t watch a movie, go to restaurants or use cordless phones. These are just a few of the symptoms I had. It affected nearly every system in my body including my memory and moods. We had to pay to get the smart meter moved. We should have had a choice to get it removed completely and replaced with the old analog meter because of the severe effect it had on my health. That was refused. Exposure to EMF has changed my life and health forever as I have not been able to fully recover. I can’t travel very many places because there’s no place for me to stay that doesn’t have wifi, cell phones, cell towers, 5G and smart meters. We removed wifi from our home, got rid of any cordless phones, turned off cell phones and paid to move the smart meter to a pole out by the road since they refused to put the old one back on. By doing these things I was able to recover enough to be in my home and go out to other areas like the store and to church. But when people come into my home or I am surrounded in the store and at church by wifi and cell phones I start to feel sicker again with headaches, eye problems, pain, fatigue, etc. When I am able to get out of that environment those symptoms are greatly diminished. It’s difficult to get completely away from these because we are surrounded by EMF by no choice of our own. I feel best outside away from any type of EMF but unfortunately finding space where there is none is getting more difficult all the time. I may soon be searching for another place to live because there is possibly going to be a neighborhood put in on the land close to my home. I will not be able to survive being completely surrounded by all the EMF that will bring. As I have been researching this issue, I find there are hundreds, if not thousands of studies that show the harmful effect of EMF. Please take these studies and concerns seriously before even more people are harmed with their health and lives altered forever.

I had my smart meter removed. I do not have WiFi in my home. I do not want that direct exposure. I had to buy a new/ used car which has wife in it. I feel physically awful when I drive it. I know that my dogs and I suffer because of the matrix of wireless electricity that encapsulates mankind. My great grand babies are exposed daily at their daycare. It’s heart breaking! Technology is treacherous, seems no turning back!

Within 24 hours of smart meters being installed at my apartment complex, I began noticing the following adverse health effects: a constant headache, chest pain, heart palpitations and arrythmias, bizarre and frightening brain sensations, and insomnia. A friend brought over an EMF meter and it detected high-powered pulses of microwave radiation every three seconds inside my apartment all along the wall the bank of smart meters was on. I tried to reduce my exposure by moving my sofa and bed away from that wall, shutting off my Wi-Fi, and wearing a supposedly EMF-shielding beanie hat whenever I was at home (even in bed), and staying away from my apartment as much as possible. These actions did not bring about any changes in the adverse health effects I was experiencing, so three months after the smart meters were installed I gave up my apartment and move to a different state where smart meters hadn’t yet arrived. Within days of arriving at my new residence (which was a guest bedroom in my parents’ house), I could actually feel their Wi-Fi in my head. The sensations were physically uncomfortable, bordering on painful, in my brain and in my ears. I had visited my parents earlier that year, and stayed for an entire month, and their Wi-Fi hadn’t been a problem then. It was only after I’d been exposed to smart-meter radiation for three months that I experienced adverse health effects from Wi-Fi. My parents agreed to shut off their Wi-Fi for me, and only then did my symptoms from Wi-Fi and smart meter exposure slowly begin to resolve. Six months later I was mostly symptom free. After my recovery, I thought that as long as I didn’t have Wi-Fi at home I might be able to tolerate spending a few hours once a week in a Wi-Fi environment out in the world. So I resumed going to church, and for many weeks everything seemed fine. It wasn’t until the twelfth Sunday that adverse health effects from cumulative exposure began to manifest what began as a low-grade headache quickly grew in intensity and constancy, accompanied by wholly unpleasant and downright frightening brain sensations. My ears ached, and rang, and popped – just like what occurs with changes in altitude. Except my altitude wasn’t changing, and only my right ear popped, often in quick succession: pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop. In addition, my face burned, my chest ached, and I was extremely fatigued. I felt so exceptionally unwell I truly did not know whether I would even survive, let alone recover. Immediately after the onset of these adverse health effects, using my computer and cell phone became unbearable, causing an immediate worsening of the constant headache and uncomfortable brain sensations. Even being within twenty feet of where my parents were using their cell phones was highly problematic, and I only found relief by going outside so I could get farther away. It took six months of scrupulously avoiding all Wi-Fi, computer, and cell phone exposure for the worst of my symptoms to subside, leaving me with only a mild headache, a popping right ear, and uncomfortable brain sensations that are less frequent and less alarming. Two months later, shortly before smart meters were to be installed in my parents; town, I moved yet again, this time to a different state with a milder climate. I took up residence in a friend’s barn out in the country where I wouldn’t be exposed to smart meters, Wi-Fi, or cell phones. Even so, being in close proximity to basic electricity causes headaches and uncomfortable brain sensations, so I’ve had to find creative ways to prepare meals, provided lighting, and stay warm in winter. Even using a landline telephone was impossible until I got one that had a special radiation-free headset that delivers the sound to my ear via an air tube. I’ve lived in the barn for more than four years now, and my attempts to seek medical evaluation and treatment resulted in healthcare providers thinking I was crazy and wanting to do a psychiatric evaluation. The adverse health effects I experience rom various sources of EMF radiation has rendered me unable to earn any kind of income for over five years. Yet, I have been told I do not qualify for Social Security because they do not recognize EMF sensitivity as a disabling condition. It is only because I finally reached the age of 62 a few months ago and could start drawing my Social Security retirement benefits that I am not completely destitute. That and the generosity and kindness of friends (including the one who entered my response to this EMF RFI).

Over the past year, I’ve closely observed what I believe to be significant effects associated with electromagnetic frequency (EMF) exposure in my own family, myself, and patients. These have included nausea, flu-like symptoms, changes in bowel habits, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and mood lability. In cases where we implemented mitigation measures, including removal of smart meters and other devices, we observed symptoms lessen or resolve. I believe this deserves far more attention and investigation. We should not dismiss people’s experiences simply because the mechanisms or connections are not yet fully understood. We need more research, better education, and greater transparency about the potential health effects of our increasingly wireless environments.

I am 66 years old and have been quadriplegic for 50 years. My RF symptoms encompass all systems in the body: neurological, respiratory, urinary, digestive, and cardiovascular. I was diagnosed by a very well-read medical doctor in 2007 after almost dying from a 900 MHz DECT phone that I was exposed to. Respiratory failure, kidney failure, heart failure, bleeding, inability to even sit up. It's truly a miracle that I survived. I started becoming reactive to wireless frequencies in 2007 when I had a DECT phone installed in my place of business. It took me a long time to figure it out but I finally figured it out. I got rid of the phone and recovered. In 2009 my husband got a wireless Router for his laptop. We didn't know that it was utilizing RF, just like the DECT phone until I started having all my symptoms again. We removed the router and I recovered once again. In 2011 they put a smart meter on my house. Again I had no idea it was the same thing until I got sick with the exact same weird symptoms. We tried to get the meter uninstalled. They wouldn't uninstall it so I joined a class action suit against Oncor in Texas. I was able to have it removed after 2.5 years of litigation but by then I was very ill. I no longer am able to work because of the extreme sensitivity to wireless frequencies. I don't have a cell phone. I don't have wireless routers or wireless anything in my house and I have two shielded rooms: my bedroom and my office. I have to do this because I live in a suburb where everybody has wireless everything and I'm sick if I don't stay secluded. I'm glad to see that RFK Jr. is taking the telecoms on because this is very serious for some of us. What's sad is that Oncor knew in 2011 that this was making people sick. A short story to illustrate how I know this is factually true: After I discovered that the smart meter was what was making me sick again, I thought it was going to be a simple call to my electric company and tell them that I have a diagnosis of EHS, that RF makes me terribly ill, and that I need my analog meter back. They told me no, that they can't do that because it's part of a mesh network, but they would send somebody up from Dallas that "does this sort of thing." When I heard that I thought, "Well they know what's going on with me and they're going to take care of it." What happened couldn't have been further from the truth. My local guy showed up with the guy from Dallas and his technician. The first thing he did was ask where my meter was and he went out there with his laptop, which had a little antenna on it. When he came back in, he asked, "What's on the other side of that wall from the meter?" and I told him, "A bathroom." He said, "Can I go look?" and I said, "Yeah." He took his laptop in there, came back out, and I said, "Is everything okay?" He said, "Yeah. I'm just glad it's not a bedroom." Anyway we were talking and he asked me, "Do you have allergies?" I told him yes, that I had a lot of allergies, and he said, "Yeah we find people that have trouble with radio frequency also have a lot of allergies." He said, "I know this stuff is real." He said "we have people all over Dallas having problems with the smart meters." As they were leaving the Dallas guy said that they would "turn it down" and I was thinking, "Oh that's great, that'll probably help." Unfortunately it did not help, not even a little. In fact I don't even think they did anything at all because their mesh network needed to work. Anyways as they were walking out the door my local guy says, "Well don't we need to go back out there and turn it down?" The technician laughed and he said, "No we can do that from Dallas." Needless to say I suffered unnecessarily for 2.5 years until I was able to get my analog meter back after the lawsuit settled. By that time I had lost my business, my marriage, and my faith in humanity. I believe the telecoms have known this for many, many years and they chose to do it anyways for a buck. Truly despicable.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of an individual impacted by wireless radiation exposure. I am very very ill already with electric radiation and what I call electrosmog: radiation from 5G, SMART meters, cell towers and data centres as well as cell phones. I have been bombarded with it for 5 years since moving to my current apartment. My city has high radiation levels SEE ATTACHED This matter is urgent and life-threatening for me as the AMI program plans to install 30 SMART meters on the other side of my living room wall in the utility room in the next few weeks. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. FCC safety guidelines need to be updated. This is an urgent matter which I view as life-threatening. The first ethic in all our relations is to do no harm. Transparency is essential in all our dealings with each other and certainly, especially in matters of health and safety, there is a duty to consult people before new measures are put in place that could cause harm. I had an electric smart meter installed against my will and I got really bad after this two days after that my head started beeping for another 3 days I got pressure on my chest had to go to the hospital in an ambulance and nothing was found and after another 3 days I got it again and then had heart fibrillation which went away by itself in the middle of the night and I have always had these problems before I am physically active I run and cycle I am 60 years old I still have beeping in my head but this goes away if I leave home after a few days I have sued the electricity company but the court announced the case and no one believes me and it is completely crazy that it is allowed to happen like this there are EU rules 2019 /944 art 22 which gives me the right to use a traditional electricity meter but all the authorities turn a blind eye to this Tomas Nilsson Sweden

I am writing to let you know how EMF's, RF Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure have personally impacted me, plus share their impact on several of my friends. I admit that I am addressing them as an entity, as I do not have access to technology that can single out any one risk to life. But I do have access to my own life experience. "Smart" electric meter: Duke Energy installed one on my house without my prior knowledge. Subsequently, I began to experience frequent awakening during the night; the "smart" meter was located at the far end of my home, away from my bedroom. After a convoluted process involving Duke Energy and notarized paperwork from my primary care physician, I was finally able to get it replaced with a manual read meter, resulting in improved sleep. Two friends of mine both experienced major sleep disruption as they live in a condo with "smart" meters just outside their bedrooms. One has now moved out and is experiencing improved energy and health. The other, financially unable to relocate, created his own inside protections to help shield his bedroom; he, too, is experiencing improved health and functioning. Cell towers: the more that go up, the worse I feel. My personal symptoms include awakening suddenly in the middle of the night with a vibrating, quivering, physical sensation in my chest and abdomen of several minutes duration. Please note that three male friends, of varying ages and with whom I compare such experiences, all experienced similar sensations on that same night around that same time. And this has recurred multiple times since. While it does not seem to be related to age or gender, it may have something to do with our more sensitive temperaments (all are empaths, three of us are healers). We've concluded that someone "turned up the juice" at those times. A woman whom I've met told me that she has to sleep in her car on the Blue Ridge Parkway to get a better night's sleep. Cell phones: have you ever witnessed a bright, personable child evolve into a zombi-like young teenager, after she was given a cell phone by her grandparents (against the wishes of her parents)? I have. It's tragic. Just look around. So many people are glued to their devices. Real human interactions are becoming rare. I've been close to being rear-ended while driving and yup, that person was looking at her cell phone. With more and more cell towers being installed, increasing network strength, plus mandatory "smart" meters for water and propane with no opt-outs, neighbors' Ring doorbells, Flock and other surveillance cameras...where do we go to escape for our health and our very lives??? For the sake of all Life and the future of our fragile Earth, I implore you to investigate this and to establish updated, appropriate regulations--not only regarding what these major energetic disruptions are doing to humans, but also to our declining bees and pollinators, birds, various wildlife and soils. Perhaps this is part of the agenda to reduce population; but do you have children and grandchildren and those whom you love? Thank you for your consideration of these matters.

Digital meters were put on our homes in Oklahoma in 2014 and my husband died in early 2017 diagnosed with bulbar ALS and mononeuritis multiplex. He could not talk, eat, drink. after he died i added a sine tamer filter to our home circuit box and home stetzer readings were 50 until this year when i changed internet to fiberoptic. readings were 1999 (the max the stetzerizer meter reads). the router is dirty and was not filtered or shielded and added lot of dirty electricity to my home wiring. my home is 40 years old and does not work well with corrosive microwave radiation. i bought shielded surge protectors and only turn router on when using and have it in a faraday cages. home outlet readings are about 250-300 now (25-50 normal). Spent 3 days in Maine at 3 major hotels that all read 1999 on stetzerizer meter and the rooms all had loud locust sound from acoustic nature of fiberoptics. came home and did labs.my nitrotyrosine was double over the max value and my iron saturation very low as well and other values not normal. i took molecular hydrogen to fix the iron and NAC with selenium and molybdenum for nitrotyosine for 2 months and other supplements like glutathione and coQ10 that help with the electron transport system. i take supplements every day to try to stay detoxed. i truly believe that by not testing labs completely for nitrotyrosine (very difficult to do in the USA) and nitric oxide and do complete thyroid and not just TsH /T4 (also not done in USA like should be) if body temperature lower than 98.6 then take tyrosine and iodine (T4 wont fix it) cause reversible T3 needs fixing and thyroglobulins affected)) and do complete iron and correcting it with molecular hydrogen and lactoferrin cause the charge needs fixing back to Fe4 electron transport from Fe3 storage. iron is paramagnetic and emf causes rouleaux effect and affects the charge and then iron gets stuck at neuromuscular junction at motor cortex and cant change from chemical to electrical so does not function as it should as iron and enzymes systems wont work. pilots are exposed to nonionizing and ionizing radiation. My husband flew a lot. must protect pilots because they sleep in these toxic hotels and are becoming suicidal more. plus just their occupation has cumulative effect and they should be tested annual for nitrotyrosine levels and detox. test complete thyroid and iron level and fix their tyrosine and iodine levels and body temperature and filter and shield these dirty electricity hotel rooms. look at zinc/copper ratio- magnesium cause calcium goes intracellular thru calcium voltage gates causes Blood brain barrier capillary leak issue and neurodegenerative diseases (use vit D, K2, Omega 3) Do a complete amino acid profile annual and fix those. Taurine detoxes myeloperoxidase, histidine for RA, sulforaphane for NRF2 activation, citrulline and beets for nitric oxide, glutathione and blueberry for glutamate, SOD superoxide dismutase major antioxidant for free radicals, pregnenolone for myelin sheath, CoQ10 and PQQ for electron transport system, methylated B Complex with C to help recharge body battery. For areas with high emf, look at dentist offices, the malls, pharmacies with pharmacists standing in front of laser printers and pharmacists losing babies, perhaps use of faraday cages in order, airports and scanners and planes and pilots. look at hard wiring home instead of wifi but harder now to buy a laptop with ethernet connection, its our world blanketed in emf/ rfr /wireless so we must protect ourselves and call these problems that come with it what it is. start testing and treating it for what it is before we all die. i really miss John.
