My son was not sleeping well in his room. I was looking into radiation and called Duke and had them come out to remove our smart meter that was outside of his bedroom. It costed me $100 for them to remove it but ever since then he has slept better. Same with my husband and I’s cell phones. Airplane mode every night. WiFi turned off every night to help everyone sleep better.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent, and family member. I have personally been affected by wireless radiation such as the LED light bulbs that all have RF as states in the fine print on the package. LED light bulbs pulsate constantly and it regularly gives me headaches and my eye regularly ache. Also, I remember in all of the years prior to LED light bulbs being created I rarely had headaches or eye aches. I have had a similar experience with the smart meter that was put on our home. Prior to smart metera, I rarely had headaches, byt after it was installed without our consent, I experience more frequent headaches and I also notice that I get very high pitched tones in my ears regularly. I have tried different things to hope that it goes away such as trying to shut down the wifi at night during sleep, but the high pitched tones are not as strong but they continue. I would love to be able to buy incandescent full spectrum light bulbs again, and I would love to have our smart meter removed. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. I have suffered for the last 6 years with EMF sensitivity after being hit by dirty electricity from my smart meter that I cannot opt out of. That set in motion my sensitivity to wireless and cell towers. I cannot even go to most restaurants now because of all the streaming on tv's and the bluetooth. I cannot set in most cars due to the bluetooth. It has damaged my brain and memory. Please bring safety into our electrical and wireless world. This is not healthy especially for children. FCC and EPA do your job to protect the people.

My dad got cancer after a smart meter was installed on their house, on the bedroom wall, and my mom experiences symptoms as well since then. When I am near cell towers or am exposed to any EMF radiation, I experience severe headaches, which always eventually resolve once I create distance. My hands ache when my Bluetooth is on while I’m holding my phone, and I experience anxiety and headaches when Bluetooth is on in the car. I experience horrible sleep when our WiFi router is kept on, and even if that’s off, my sleep is disrupted if a phone is charging in the bedroom. My plants die if they are placed near the WiFi router, and since we have moved into a rental near a 5G tower, our sleep and health has been severely disrupted.

In 2021 I moved into a new home. I immediately started noticing sinus drainage. It worsened overtime to the point that I was hacking up globs of thick phlegmevery morning for hours. That went on for an approximately two or three years. I also noticed when I was in the kitchen cooking my sinuses, would drain profusely. I had to start keeping a box of tissues next to the stove. I also had very bad sinus infections three or four times during that span of time. That was not something I’ve ever had before. One dayI read a comment from someone in my neighborhood on the neighborhood, Facebook page about changing out her smart meter for health reasons. I’ve never even heard of Smart meters up until that point. I began researching it and found articles saying it could cause health problems, even in a report from the national Institute of health.gov dated as far back as 2012. It’s very disheartening that they were aware of it back then and the health hazards and just kept on letting it go on. I then called the electric company and set up a date for them to come change mine back to the analog type. It was four or five days later when they came out. I had completely forgotten about it, but when I got up that morning, I had no sinus drainage no phlegm and had no longer had to keep tissue in the kitchen constantly blowing my nose when cooking, I haven't coughed up phlegm the mornings at all since. Not one single time which has been at least a year and a half maybe two years. At that point I put together that it had to have been caused by-the Smart meter which was directly below the kitchen window, as is the analog meter they replaced it with in the house I currently live in. It’s quite obvious since my sinus and phlegm completely stopped The meters were switched. the same day. Ironically, that was not mentioned on any of the information I researched. I just went ahead and had mine changed out because I try to live a healthy lifestyle and always be on the side of caution with my health. When I called the electric company to make the switch I asked when did they start installing those meters? , the person whom I was speaking with told me late 2019. I then remembered at my old house in January 2020 I had the same problem start in the mornings only with hacking up phlegm. It was a much larger house than what I bought after, but every morning my routine was to go back to my office to drink my coffee while reading on my computer. It was weird because I knew in January there’s no sinus season. I even talk to my doctor about it. Shortly after the COVID-19 conundrum started. At that point I just assumed that I must have had Covid before we knew anything about it. By AprilI my morning routine changed as I was working to prepare to sell my home. The morning phlegm stopped, but I also stopped going in my office every morning. I didn’t give it any thought and I had no idea that my electric meter may have had changed out about January and I still assumed it was Covid ever since I moved that summer and in July. Once that problem started again only worse here in my new home. I had no idea what was causing it. After speaking with the employee of the electric company and finding out that they changed those meters my 2019 and all mate symptoms were gone, I then realized my office was directly above where my electric meter was in the old house. It was a six bedroom house so I was only in that end of the house on that floor when I was in my office in the mornings. Additionally, I was reading comments about chemtrails and pictures posted on Facebook by someone in Kentucky. As I was reading the comments there were hundreds, if not thousands, that were all saying they had the sinus drainage and phlegm and blaming it on chemtrails. I’ve tried to messages as many people as I could, but it wouldn’t let me copy and paste and as I said there were a couple of thousand comments, it was becoming too time-consuming, but I got the word out to as many people as I could. I don’t think anyone believes me I’ve been accused of wearing tinfoil hats since. I have absolutely no doubt that the smart meter was the cause. I did stop telling people that I knew because I realize no one believed me. But I’m living in this body for over 60 years, with above average health and have always live a healthy lifestyle, so I know what’s normal and what’s not and what happened to me was not normal.

When we moved into our home in 2022, I started experiencing fatigue and brain fog like nothing I've ever experienced before, even as a mother with 5 children in 10 years, even through graduate school, even through running a business; this was different. I couldn't get dinner on the table. I couldn't organize basic tasks that needed to get done throughout the day. My oldest child started getting bloody noses, with no prior history. We both started getting headaches with no discernible cause (and her, no prior history). My memory was shot. Multiple times per day, I would send a child on a task, and then less than a minute later, forget I had done so. I struggled to get through our homeschooled lessons (and remember the above; I am highly educated, and this shouldn't have been an issue). I also started hearing a constant ringing in my ears, even though I have never had a problem with tinnitus. It was only then that we discovered the smart meter on our home. We removed it and replaced it with an electro-mechanical analog meter. Within a week, everyone was sleeping better (and with five children, this was a marked difference that I didn't expect), my husband - who had no reported problems to me - told me he was dreaming again. The headaches and bloody noses stopped. I felt like myself again with energy and focus. I was "conquering the world" again, so to speak. The utility company went through a multi-month process of lies, fear tactics, intimidation, threats and coercion before unlawfully removing our meter and replacing it with their opt-out meter. My tinnitus is back, and my thyroid is now shot with no other cause that can be identified. I have had it tested by an electrical engineer, and can confirm it still emits RF. We have no WiFi, and no neighbors. When we had the meter tested, we had no internet, let alone no wifi. We turned off the entire house, and the meter was emitting RF. No company or utility of any kind should be legally allowed to "mandate" harmful technology on our homes, our schools, our shops, our churches, or anywhere else. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I am responding from the perspective of a parent. My daughter was an average, healthy 10 year old child. Two years ago we had a smart meter installed at our home. We tried to stop the installation, however, Wisconsin doesn't allow an opt out. Our daughter began to experience strange symptoms, hand pain, a combination of burning and tingling, hair loss, severe weight loss, rapid heart rate and irritability. We took her into our primary care doctor who ran some labs and came back saying she has Graves' disease. We have still been unable to restore her health and get the smart meter removed. My heart's desire is to have this legislation changed where at a minimum, people should be allowed to opt out of smart meters and 5g being placed on and or near their homes. Our children are growing sicker every year. Each child deserves a chance to be give a healthy environment to grow into healthy adults. My daughter's Graves disease is hard and incredibly sad, but others out there have children fighting for their lives in cancer battles due to all this radiation. I am writing from south of Sweden. My experience beginning 2020 when they put up 2 mobiletowers 200 and 300meters from my home. I ve experience Vitreous detachment and flottets in my eyes and heartpulpatation on and of. 2022 they installd the smartmeter and then it became very bad. My cat got stressed and got problems whit the urin and hairloss on his stormatch. Then my small dog started to pi inside even when we just got in. I got eyemigraine 1-2 times a week and some days up to 3 times/day. More heartpulpatations on and off, toorhpressing, dizziness, stress and anxiety, tinnitus, problems whith koncentration and memory. 2026 they turn on the 5G in the area and the hole famely feels it and we feel it when we are out in the garden I have tryed to reduce it by painting inside and whit reducing fabric. When 5G hubs came out for my electricity company I was given a postcard months before and it said that I could call and I could opt out of the service because it was already a digital hub they could already read my information they could already see it they can turn my power off and on with a flick of a switch with nobody coming out to do so physically. It gave a phone number so I called it, going through a couple of hoops people would not answer my questions and what I needed to know and address my concerns before they actually went ahead and did this or I said no please do not do this... The person on the phone with me told me that if I did not change this hub because medically I have a sensitivity to frequencies to noises to sounds to smells decides to everything because I have my own medical issues and that if I was not going to be switching it over that it would cost me $100 out of my pocket and then every month thereafter would cost me another $50 added on to my bill because somebody would physically have to come out and read this because they would not listen to me when I said I have a medical letter here from my doctor who do I send it to so it doesn't happen to me and to forego also my neighbor who I am renting but as long as I'm here it should be recognized as well because both of our meters are in the same position and her meter would obviously give frequencies off so if I didn't change mine and she did I would still be sick. She furthermore lets me know that it's going to cost me extra and every month it's going to cost me the X amount of dollars that she stayed in she said well don't worry honey it's the same as having a microwave I said I don't have a microwave because I get severe headaches I get them so bad and so frequently I get very nauseous and I would be sick for very large periods of time and sometimes hospitalized. And she didn't know what to say to me I said see me to tell me because I'm disabled because I have a medical reasoning for this not to happen that you're going to charge me extra you're going to charge someone who's disabled extra money to be disabled. I'm trying to understand this because I'll be honest with you my lawyer will be definitely interested in this conversation. She immediately says oh I'm so sorry hold on one moment and puts me on hold furthermore she refers me to another person who claims to be a supervisor and said well this is what it is and until it changes that's what's going to be we're either going to do it and to be honest with you we're already changing in your area and likely this request will not be seen until it's already been done and we cannot undo it once we've done it. Furthermore stating even though they give you the option to opt out they really didn't mean they could opt you out of it they weren't going to they were not intending to and they certainly didn't care if I was medically unwell from this surgeon in waves coming through my home and through my body causing me to be ill. So do I have issues with all of this absolutely these I love this they call them improvements to our energy or not improvements because there have been no studies on this brand new technology because we're at a war of technology and who's got the better stuff and who can get it up and running quicker we're not looking at what are the effects that they're going to have on the people who actually pay for us to have this business these little people who are getting sick these little people who don't have the extra money to put a faraday cage around everything. This is so sick and I can't believe this is being allowed
