I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent, advocate and concerned member of the public. I have followed the implementation of wireless technology and the discussions around that for decades. I'm convinced that wireless radiation can be, and often is, harmful to various life forms. Please STOP expanding wireless networks. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. Though I am one of the fortunate ones who is not electromagnetic sensitive, I advocted in front of the Loveland, CO, city council on behalf of residents of the "Artspace" building on 5th St. in downtown Loveland, who suffered and are still suffering greatly from the effects of a 5G base station placed on the roof of their building. People in the building got extremely sick and a number of them moved out. A woman right below the tower, developed cancer. Pets died. Neither the city, nor the building owner, refused to do anything about it. Fortunately, the ones who moved out recovered. Since it is a low-income building, many just did or do not have the means to move out and remain there suffering. Wireless radiation, especially 5G, does not align with the natural electromagnetic rate of the human body, therefore is just plain dangerous. I have taken a stand against this technology and gave up my cellphone in 2020. Unfortunately, the world we live in is built on wireless technology to a good extent right now, so we need the support of HHS and the FCC desperately.

Wireless radiation has affected me personally. When exposed to WiFi, wireless routers, modems, cell phones and Bluetooth I have often felt ill…including headaches, nausea and fatigue. I believe that there are many other people who are affected but don’t know that EMFs are causing their symptoms. I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient. Wireless radiation gives me headaches. Too much radiation within a building, such as from many people gathered, all of whom are carrying cell phones, will give me a headache. Going too close to certain cell towers gives me a headache. Sometimes the headache lasts all day. Sometimes the headache is relieved by the practice of grounding, putting my bare feet on the earth or on concrete. If I don't encounter radiation, I don't commonly get any headaches. It is hard for me to go into big cities, as it is hard to avoid cell towers there. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. i am writing in regards to my own complaint and concern about wireless radiation. I experience intermittent pain in my wrist and hand while holding and using my cell phone. I have owned multiple different cell phone and used different carriers and this has been an ongoing problem for over ten years. This is clearly abnormal and I do not feel good about using an object that causes pain, however I feel I have been pushed, along with our entire society, into using technology that I do not believe is safe or beneficial to human biology. I would really be happy if an honest study and report by the HHS would be done on the effects of EMF, Radiofrequency Radiation and Wireless Radiation on human life. I feel that human life needs to be protected from damaging technologies. I believe that phone and cell tower industries are more interested in monetary profit than the effects of the technologies on human life, especially babies, pregnant mothers and children. May the HHS please place people over profits.

This is my comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am just a citizen, trying to minimize my exposure to harmful radiation, so I'm no expert. We already are exposed to wireless radiation in our homes, our cars, our phones when we're even walking down the street. We need questions about our health to be addressed by agencies with expertise in fields like medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health. The experiences of citizens who report being affected should be taken seriously. I hope HHS will carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, with special attention given to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

The Honey Bee says: STOP 5G - 5th Generation Wireless Technology Headline News The harmful effects of EMFs on nature are scientifically based and have been under-reported for over a decade. Here are just a few facts most people would like to know. • Technology is quite literally destroying nature. . . with electromagnetic radiation from power lines and cell towers. . . 5G could increase threat. Newsweek, 2018 • 180 scientists and doctors from 35 countries have signed a recommendation for a 5G moratorium. • 5G increases body temperature of insects. Pro Natura, 2019 • A $30 million US National Toxicology Program (NTP) study in 2018 found “clear evidence” that cell phone radiation is linked to cancer. • . . . unprecedented exposure interferes with the natural functioning of humans, animals, and plants. Dr. Ulrich Warnke: Bees and Mankind: Destroying Nature by ‘Electrosmog’, 2009 • “Birds disappearing mysteriously. . . bees under threat. . . . increasing evidence EMF pollution such as cell towers, cell phones, cordless phones and wifi is a factor.” Dr. Andrew Goldsworthy, 2009 The Birds, the Bees and EMF Pollution • EMFs can cause cancer. (Hardell and Carlberg, 2018) (Soffritti, 2016) (Peleg, 2018) • Electromagnetic Fields A ‘Credible Threat’ To Wildlife Joel M. Moskowitz, Ph.D., Principia Scientific International, 2018 • “Due to electromagnetic smog, honeybees are often unable to return to their hives (Harst et al., 2006; Favre, 2011; Sharma & Kumar 2010; Sahib, 2011), the resulting massive loss of workers thenleads to a colony collapse (e.g. Harst et al. 2006; Sharma a nd Kumar 2010), which is why electromagnetic radiation has been suggested as one potential cause of colony collapse disorder (CCD) (e.g. Warnke 2009; Sahib 2011)” Journal of Insect Conservation (Lázaro et al, 2016) • Radiation impacts on wild birds documented nest abandonment, plumage deterioration and death. Lab studies of chick embryos documented heart attacks and death. (Al Manville PhD USFWS, 2016) • EMFs evoke aversive behavior, developmental anomalies and mortality in studied animal groups. ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Hello - I will be providing information to the effects of these catastrophic frequencies and radiation exposures and I demand that the FCC and HHS release their findings on this as well to the public. It has been presented before but shoved off as "We don't deal with humans, only frequencies." There is so much proof out there it is absurd that our government and the tech companies keep slowly killing the global populations with these weapons; that is what they are. See below info and any attachments on this. The peer-reviewed and human evidence submitted to federal regulators establishes that exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs), radiofrequency radiation (RFR) and wireless radiation produces a wide range of measurable biological harms—not merely theoretical thermal risks. As documented in the FCC docket, filings contained "peer-reviewed studies showing radiofrequency radiation contributing to cell damage, DNA damage, infertility, carcinogenicity, cognitive deficits, and cardiovascular disruption, among a wide array of negative health effects". This body of evidence—over 11,000 pages—was dismissed by the FCC, whose representative reportedly told an injured petitioner, "We don't deal with humans, only frequencies". Cancer Risk and Official Recognition The World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies RF radiation as "possibly carcinogenic to humans". Professor Lennart Hardell is responsible for this classification based on evidence linking wireless radiation to increased risk for glioma and acoustic neuroma [A-2]. The National Toxicology Program's own study found "clear evidence linking cell phone use to heart tumors in rats, with some evidence also linking it to brain and adrenal tumors" [A-1]. A review led by Linda Birnbaum, former director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, concluded there is "substantial scientific evidence" that RFR causes "cancer, endocrine, and neurological problems, as well as many other negative health effects". The Causal Mechanism: Oxidative Stress At the cellular level, the primary mechanism of harm appears to be oxidative stress. According to Children's Health Defense, the evidence identified a "causal mechanism of harm" found in 203 out of 225 studies: oxidative stress, "which can lead to cancer, non-cancer conditions, and DNA damage". Professor Martin Pall, Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry at Washington State University, confirmed that "current EMFs can cause lowered fertility, neurological/psychiatric effects, DNA damage, apoptosis, oxidative stress, endocrine effects, cancer, genetic and epigenetic changes, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and cardiac effects". Children Are Disproportionately Vulnerable Children face heightened risk. Research has found that "children's brains absorb 2-3 times more radiation than an adult's". This vulnerability is compounded by the fact that substantially more children are using cell phones from younger ages. The 5G Escalation The rollout of 5G represents a dramatic escalation. Unlike previous technologies, 5G uses "frequencies between 24 GHz and 100 GHz, known as millimeter-wave frequencies". Israeli researchers found that "our sweat ducts act as antennas for millimeter waves, meaning we would absorb more energy into our bodies". Professor Pall warned that "5G will inevitably produce universal or almost universal very early-onset Alzheimer's dementia and may cause near-universal autism" . Critically, "there are no safety studies on 5G", and Senator Richard Blumenthal concluded after a Senate hearing, "So there really is no research ongoing. We're kind of flying blind here, as far as health and safety are concerned". Brain, Sleep and Mitochondrial Effects The evidence further shows effects on the brain, "including impaired blood flow and damage to the blood-brain barrier, cognitive and memory problems, and effects on sleep, melatonin production, and mitochondrial damage". These findings are especially significant because mitochondrial dysfunction is central to chronic degenerative disease processes. Dr. Erica Mallery-Blythe emphasized that "the relationship between radiation intensity and biological effects is not linear," and that EMFs interact with chemicals, genetics, nutrition, and stress in ways that "can exponentially worsen these biological effects". Conclusion The evidence is clear: EMF, RFR and wireless radiation exposure produces oxidative stress, DNA damage, cancer, neurological harm, reproductive damage, and mitochondrial dysfunction.
