ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
The Tri-Service Program incorrectly presumed that the only effects from radiation were thermal and they were not cumulative. A compendium of over two thousand early research publications studying the health effects from exposure to MW radiation can be found at ZoryGlaser.com. In addition, here is an interview with microwave expert Barrie Trower: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxrBLO1rAMM. The maximum limit for microwave exposure was set with insufficient data and was influenced by industry and the military-industrial complex.

The commenter reports severe symptoms after a tower was built near their apartment, describes deaths and …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Public Comment Submission To: Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Subject: Public Comment Regarding Environmental Health Impacts and Electromagnetic Field (EMF/RF) Radiation Exposure 1. Background and Context • Proximity to Infrastructure: This testimony concerns the installation of an AT&T Cingular Wireless cell tower erected approximately 200 feet from my former apartment complex. • Timeline: The health decline detailed below occurred within a 2-year window following the tower's construction. • Community Impact: The apartment building is a small, 81-unit complex. During this period, an unusually high mortality rate was observed, including the deaths of my downstairs neighbor and 11 other residents, alongside severe illnesses in domestic pets, resulting in the death of my cat. • Current Housing Status: Due to reporting these hazards and speaking out, I faced retaliation and am currently displaced, living out of my car because the apartment became entirely uninhabitable for me. 2. Individual Symptomatology & Clinical Manifestations Upon the activation of the cell tower, I experienced an immediate and severe onset of multi-system physiological symptoms when present in my apartment: Category Specific Symptoms Experienced Neurological, Sleep & Visual Severe insomnia despite profound exhaustion ("tired but wired" state); acute physical weakness and shakiness; regular episodes of severe wooziness and near-fainting spells; visual trailing effects (palinopsia/perceived motion trails). Sensory Persistent metallic taste on the tip of the tongue; intense, loud tinnitus (ringing in the ears) particularly acute at night; a distinct, olfactory-like buzzing sensation in the nose when near consumer electronics like a smart TV. Dermatological & Gastrointestinal Hyper-sensitive, irritated skin; severe nausea triggered immediately upon proximity to personal laptops. Metabolic / Homeostatic An intense, excessive thirst when near high-exposure areas that could not be quenched by any amount of water. 3. Environmental Readings • RF/EMF Monitoring: Utilizing a personal EMF reader, I detected exceptionally high radiofrequency (RF) readings radiating from or interacting directly with my body while inside the living space. 4. Conclusion and Call to Action The direct correlation between the installation of this cellular infrastructure, my acute physical decline, and the alarming cluster of illnesses and deaths within a small 81-unit residential community warrants immediate federal investigation. I urge the HHS to review the biological impacts of low-latency, high-frequency radiation proximities on residential zones and establish stricter safety boundaries to protect human life and public health.

The commenter urges age-specific research on cumulative pediatric exposures, distinguishes benefits of ne…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Children should not be treated as small adults in RF/EMF research or risk assessment. Pregnancy, infancy, childhood, and adolescence are periods of rapid growth including and not exclusive of neurological, immune, endocrine, reproductive, and metabolic development. However, children today are growing up in an electromagnetic environment that is not only fundamentally different from that experienced by previous generations, but are receiving extensive, undocumented and unstudied cumulative exposures. Wi-Fi, cell phones, tablets, Bluetooth devices, smart meters, wireless baby monitors, smartwatches, wireless classrooms, IVs, and increasingly wireless medical devices add to a child's overall exposure beginning very early in life (preconceptually and fetal exposures as well). The available pediatric research remains inadequate to answer some fundamental questions. A 2022 systematic review by Bodewein and colleagues examined 42 epidemiological and 11 experimental studies involving children and adolescents. Evidence regarding cognition, behavior, and subjective symptoms was judged low to inadequate, while evidence regarding early childhood development, brain activity, cancer, and physiological outcomes was considered inadequate for drawing conclusions. Investigators cautioned that these findings should not be interpreted as demonstrating that RF exposure is safe for children. An absence of demonstrated harm is not equivalent to demonstrated long-term safety. Those of us with concerns are neither 'anti-science' or 'anti-technology'. Wireless medical devices such as the continuous blood glucose monitor (CGM) require a more nuanced approach. I care for children with type 1 diabetes who depend upon CGMs. The clinical benefits of these devices are significant and potentially lifesaving. A medically necessary CGM should therefore not be treated as equivalent to a smartwatch simply because both use wireless technology. Looking at comparative dosimetry across common pediatric devices would help clinicians and families make rational decisions based upon actual exposure and benefit rather than fear. I also encourage HHS to examine exposures in electric and Waymo-type vehicles. A published study measuring extremely low-frequency magnetic fields in the rear seats of ten electric vehicles specifically considered children because their smaller bodies may place them closer to electrical systems beneath the vehicle floor. The measured magnetic fields were far below current international exposure limits, which is reassuring. This does not answer the question of long-term developmental exposure. Research must characterize passenger-compartment exposures by seating position and age, and evaluation the following conditions: acceleration, cruising, regenerative braking, and other real-world operating conditions. Manufacturers should be held to provide consumers and researchers with standardized measurements of the electromagnetic environment inside their vehicles. The most important research gap is cumulative exposure. Children do not experience wireless technologies one at a time. A child awakens in a Wi-Fi- home, wears a smartwatch to soccer practice, uses Bluetooth earbuds at the gym (I see this all the time in High Schoolers), carry an iPhone in their back pocket or bra, spend six hours in a wireless school environment, travel in an EV, return to a home containing numerous wireless devices including Alexa, and sleep near a phone or a phone under their pillow. A medically complex child can have additional wireless medical technology as mentioned. Please prioritize: -Longitudinal studies during pregnancy, following children through adolescence. -Pediatric dosimetry that reflects age, body size, individualized physiology, device placement, and real-world use. -Long-term studies of all physically wireless devices. -Comparative exposure studies of medically necessary versus discretionary wireless technologies. -Studies of cumulative RF/EMF exposure across the home, school, transportation, medical, and recreational environments. -Independent characterization of passenger exposures in electric and Waymo-type vehicles. -Public health educational programs including the use of nonessentials, like wi-fi baby monitors. Research examining biological effects below existing federal exposure limits, including mechanistic studies addressing oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, calcium signaling, inflammation, sleep, neurodevelopment, reproductive health, metabolism, and immune function, and effects on the microbiome while clearly distinguishing reproducible findings from preliminary or conflicting evidence. Precaution does not require panic, fear, or neuroses, nor does scientific uncertainty establish harm. But uncertainty should also not be mistaken for proof of long-term safety. Thank you for your serious investigation of this issue.

The commenter identifies EMF sensitivity as a concern and requests comprehensive research on chronic illn…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I believe that emf sensitivity is real and that it affects more people than we realize. I would love to see a comprehensive study on public health (long covid, miscarriage, still birth, chronic illnesses, cancer etc) in relation to 5 g towers, data centers, power plants, wind mill and solar farms and substations. God created this would perfect and were are detected from it (plastic everything) and its destroying our natural vibrational frequencies and causing mass issues across the board. We accelorated this when cell companies and data centers decided that there should be no safe space to be disconnected. "can you hear me now?" "Good" except was it good? is having artificial frequencies blasted at our heads 24 hours a day actually good for us? or could it be a major player in the massive epidemic of chronic illness sweeping the nation. I have attached a document answering many of the questions asked about. Please take the time to read. Thank you for considering this. Please help protect us and our children.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. The pervasive increase in wireless radiation has eroded my, and numerous friend's wellbeing. Confusion/poor concentration, tinnitus, fatigue, muscle weakness, and insomnia have become issues as no where I can go anymore is safe. My home which is supposed to be my sanctuary but is flooded with fields no matter how much I turn off, unplug, and how many circuit breakers I switch off. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent and concerned member of the public. I support people affected by wireless radiation and think it is possible that far more people are affected by wireless radiation than we know of right now, and I believe HHS should address this issue. Describes reports from legal and advocacy intake about wireless exposure, lighting, fiber-installation in…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Subject: Professional Comments on EMF/RF Exposure Frameworks and Public Health Observations From a professional standpoint within the Michigan legal and advocacy sector, this comment is submitted anonymously to safeguard organizational identities while contributing vital observations gathered from public intake. Over a period of several years, a number of individuals have sought professional consultation regarding physical grievances, environmental instability, and institutional barriers stemming from exposure to various electromagnetic fields (EMF) and radiofrequency (RF) frequencies. Many complaints show a deeper concern regarding pulsating frequencies in particular – Wi-Fi, 5G, and Bluetooth are common issues. Primary concerns brought forward during these consultations involve radio frequencies emitted by consumer wearables and cellular devices, with 5G infrastructure frequently cited as an accelerating factor. Furthermore, individuals have reported sensitivities to workplace LED lighting systems introduced into healthcare and commercial facilities, as well as providing an outpouring of criticism regarding outdoor LED lighting creating vision difficulty and a blinding effect. A distinct subset of inquiries involves the recent rapid deployment of fiber-optic installations. Documentation presented during these intakes indicates that standard installations frequently fail to prioritize the mitigation of electromagnetic interference (EMI). Specific technical areas of concern include improper grounding techniques and the utilization of copper tracer wires. There is significant concern that the integration of 5G and small-cell infrastructure onto existing tracer wires inadvertently elevates ambient radiation within residential zones. Additionally, the strategic placement of converter stations near high-density residential areas introduces low-frequency magnetic fields that communities are ill-equipped to shield against. Consequently, individuals are increasingly requesting regulatory requirements for enhanced insulation, structural shielding, and strict hardwired enforcement policies that explicitly prohibit the retrofitting or attachment of wireless small-cell antennas or radio units to fiber backhaul lines. Beyond structural infrastructure, a growing portion of professional inquiries involves individuals seeking assistance in navigating their relationships with medical care teams. The records indicate a troubling pattern of institutional friction and discrimination when patients request simple environmental accommodations, such as asking staff to leave wireless devices outside the examination room. Reports include accounts of individuals being ridiculed or dismissed by medical personnel. To mitigate these hostile environments, some individuals now incur the personal expense of hiring third-party witnesses to accompany them to appointments to ensure respectful treatment, while others rely on portable audio recorders to preserve the details of their consultations. Given the accelerated pace of modern clinical environments, where overlapping appointments frequently result in hurried communication, the ability to record a medical visit serves as an essential tool for patient comprehension and data retention. Regulatory frameworks should explicitly protect a patient’s right to record their own paid consultations. Accumulated data over years of professional intake underscores the necessity for updated regulatory oversight. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines must be modernized, as the foundational exposure limits rely on data compiled long before the ubiquity of modern wireless infrastructure. The current deployment pace outpaces long-term biological safety tracking, impacting both human populations and local wildlife ecosystems. Observing these consistent reporting patterns has prompted immediate changes in my own personal technology habits, resulting in measurable improvements in cognitive efficiency and energy levels. Stricter federal guidelines, independent biological studies, and the establishment of verified low-EMF zones are entirely appropriate, necessary, and vital to preserving public quality of life.
