ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Hello, I am submitting a comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I live in Eugene, Oregon. About 2 years ago, our electric company forced everyone to have a SMART meter installed on their homes. I tried to request an analog meter but was denied. I have friends that would not allow them on the property, and their electricity was shut off and threats of arrest until they complied. I was given the option to opt out of the signal, which I have to pay extra for. They say the extra cost is for sending out meter readers, but I have always paid for this service. Since the SMART meter installation, even though I have the signal turned off there is still dirty electricity throughout my entire home, and I have difficulty breathing and difficulty sleeping through the night. I have spoken at multiple board meetings about the adverse health effects of the SMART meter, asking for the option of an analog meter, but am told that I will never be given that option because the electric company owns the meter. I am also a mother of 4 children. One of my daughters has chronic headaches when she is at school. She says that it is from being on computers all day long. We have hard-wired internet at home, and she does not experience headaches when using the computer at home. Please advocate for people to make their own choices with their home environment. Also, fiber optics is used in our home for internet, and it is very effective when used in schools overseas, not exposing our children to harmful EMFs all day long. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. I greatly appreciate your efforts in providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I am submitting this comment as a consumer concerned about long-term exposure to wireless radiation from phones, Wi-Fi routers, cell towers, and other connected devices. I urge HHS to conduct a thorough, independent review of whether current exposure limits adequately protect public health. This review needs to consider those most heavily exposed and should examine potential effects beyond tissue heating, including evidence concerning cancer, reproductive health, and children’s development. Please prioritize research that reflects how people actually encounter wireless radiation: repeated exposure over many years, often from multiple sources and devices used close to the body. Assessments should consider signal strength, pulse patterns, duration, and combined exposure. Please consider Melnick and Moskowitz’s 2026 analysis of animal data, which argues that existing exposure limits may inadequately protect against cancer and reproductive harm (https://doi.org/10.1186/s12940-026-01288-6). I also ask HHS to evaluate Lai and Levitt’s review of exposure intensity, duration, and signal modulation (https://doi.org/10.1080/15368378.2022.2065683), and Scarato’s review of US regulatory gaps and proposed reforms (https://doi.org/10.3389/fpubh.2025.1677583). These papers warrant careful consideration alongside the broader evidence, including studies that have not found adverse effects. I ask HHS to: •Assess whether additional protections are needed for children, pregnant women, and other potentially vulnerable groups. •Support long-term research with safeguards against industry conflicts of interest. •Provide clear information about exposure and practical ways to reduce it, including wired alternatives in homes and schools. •Recommend updated standards wherever the evidence shows that existing limits are insufficient. Consumers should not have to navigate these questions alone. Please use this inquiry to advance transparent science, meaningful oversight, and public health protection.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Dear Secretary Kennedy and HHS, I would like to thank you for tackling all that you do. I understand this is not an easy job you have and it is much more difficult than most people realize. I do hope in the end that American people are not under the constraints of being poisoned by big Pharma, big Ag, Stratospheric injections plus now the electromagnetic fields in our environment , 5G and now coming 6G. We have the right as citizens of the United States have a say in what is going into our sovereign bodies. I am pharma injured, once by a vaccine 30 plus years ago, and also by a medication ( benzo) that was prescribed to me after the vax injury which destroyed my life. I am now “med” free but am left with much damage and one of my symptoms from that is severe sensitivity to foods, chemicals, and many times the environment. We did live in a more rural area on the outskirts of Sedona Az. in an unincorporated area. We built our home in a small community that has now grown. I felt I never had issues with the 3 g and 4 g lite that was here, only when things ramped up did I started noticing physical symptoms. Things I felt got worse when we installed solar panels on our home ( we do have the meters caged ) and fortunately for us they are on the far side of our garage far away from where we sleep. Our plants on that side of the house never seem to grow whereas everywhere else on our property there is normal growth. I started waking up each evening with head aches around 3 am, finding it hard to go back to sleep. Somedays I am foggy headed with head pressure, tinnitus, malaise and irritable. So my husband and I did an experiment to test if we were having issues with our home. We bought a trailer and went on road trips away from big cities, staying in campgrounds with little or no wifi around us and I sleep through the night, no headaches, tinnitus, insomnia ,lethargy etc. We are just fine. I was also reading some of these comments before I commented and I saw two, ( didn’t read that many so I find this interesting) that responded that they had what they thought was EDS. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome an wondered if it was correlated. I believe I have this as well. I had never had issues with this until the last 7 years or so. Was it the benzo, is it 5G? contributing to symptoms that mimic this? This year after our escape from home ( that was previously our sanctuary) we have new power lines up, mammoth power lines. there is a humming outside at night and no one knows where is is coming from, these lines are less than two blocks from us. Our sleep has become worse at home again, and the waking at night and feeling foggy headed again in the day, sometimes no energy. We did have an EMF specialist come to our home and tell us how to mitigate some issues, hard wiring, keeping cell phones on airplane mode, cleaning up two areas that had some dirty electricity. My Naturopathic doctor believes this could be the cause of some of my issues. Please take this seriously there are 100”s of studies out there already showing the damage done by 5G, EFS, smart meters. I do take my health seriously. I eat organic, pure real food, no packaged crap, I am active, exercise and am very mindful of my health yet I still have health problems. Thank you, Brandy Hofmann

Where to even begin... 30 years ago cancer was listed as number 10 on the list of mortality causes and today in 2026 it is listed in the number one spot as the top way someone will likely die. One in three people in our country today have cancer. Why is this? It only seems logical that the only thing that has changed within the last 30 years is the introduction of electromagnetic fields of radiation into our lives 24/7 365 via cell phone cell phone towers and Wi-Fi. Shortly after my son was born I had crippling pains in my GI tract that took years to finally realize it was from using my computer with Wi-Fi. After hardwiring my computer to ethernet I no longer have these GI issues at all and can comfortably use the computer. I did an experiment of keeping my cell phone turned off for several weeks not using it at all and just from doing that for the first time ever I had absolutely no PMS symptoms at all and absolutely no issues with my ovulation. Upon turning the cell phone back on immediately I started getting a headache and having chest pains. Just getting away to smaller towns where there is still LTE towers I feel so much better lighter happier more energetic and then immediately when I return to the city where all the 5G towers are I get tired fatigued irritable headache heart palpitations... The ONLY thing that has provided me with relief (besides avoidance) are BluShield devices. Without BluShield devices I could not function and would be bedridden. I long for the days when I could go to dinner be out and about in public go to the ballet go to the city to the art galleries etc and be able to live a normal life without being in so much pain and discomfort because of all of the cell phone towers Wi-Fi and cell phones being used. I'm seriously looking into moving to the national radio quiet zone near the green Bank observatory to get some relief. Sadly, though, it appears that school there is starting to use Wi-Fi now so it will be curious to study the results of that for example if the kids are now absent many more days due to illnesses as they were not sick before the introduction of wi-fi.. to look into the numbers of that in some kind of study and to study the connection between EMF and the horrifying rise in autism and ADHD to look and compare communities such as the Amish who do not use technology and their cancer rates to the rest of the country where cell phones and Wi-Fi are used.. I desperately want to go back to the days such as in the 90s where all we had was landline or even the early 2000s where it was hardwired internet I just want to feel good and have energy and be able to connect with the world and people without having to put myself at risk of getting cancer to do so. Unfortunately, 99.99% of the population seems absolutely addicted to their cell phones. If they can't give up their addictions even if it means they are destroying their health maybe a viable solution would be to install giant BluShield devices right by cell phone towers... "Where there is risk there must be choice" but, unfortunately, we have no choice because cell phone towers and the radiation they admit is everywhere. You simply cannot get away from it. We need to be able to have a choice! We need places/ cities where there are no cell phone towers and no wi-fi so people can make a CHOICE for themselves whether they want to live in a safe zone or not a safe zone- we need those choices!

The commenter attributes teenage headaches to a bedroom router, reports improvement after switching to Et…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Request for Information regarding Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I write to you as a concerned parent and as an individual whose own childhood health was severely impacted by wireless radiation exposure. My interest in this issue stems from lived experience. As a teenager, I suffered from severe, unexplained, and debilitating headaches. Unknown to us at the time, the home’s wireless router had been installed directly in my bedroom. Years later, after discovering research regarding the potential biological effects of RF/EMF exposure, I realized my childhood symptoms aligned with documented physical responses to radiofrequency exposure. Once I significantly reduced my exposure—replacing wireless internet with grounded Ethernet and keeping my cell phone in airplane mode 95% of the time—my health improved dramatically. Today, when I am exposed to heavy RF environments, such as close proximity to 5G infrastructure or dense cellular usage, those same negative impacts return. This personal journey highlights my single greatest concern: the unique and heightened vulnerability of children. Children are not simply smaller adults; their developing nervous systems, thinner skulls, and higher tissue conductivity mean they absorb proportionally higher levels of radiofrequency energy than adults. Today, children are exposed to wireless radiation at unprecedented levels—in their bedrooms, classrooms, and everyday environments—from a very young age. Given that my own health suffered as a teenager from a single router, I am deeply concerned about the cumulative, lifelong impact today's constant exposure will have on our youth. Thank you for providing parents and impacted individuals the opportunity to share our experiences and advocate for the protection of future generations.

Docket ID: HHS-OASH-2026-0397 Regarding: Request for Information (RFI) on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure As a seasoned Care Manager & Multispecialty Office manager as well n individual caregiver with over ten years of lived environmental illness experience, alongside my husband a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I am submitting my formal testimony to Docket HHS-OASH-2026-0397. Because our response contains comprehensive historical tracking data, detailed case overviews, and active scientific hyperlinks that exceed the character limitations of this text field, we have attached our complete, unedited narrative and scientific review as a PDF titled: Attachment1_Master_Packet_Docket_HHS_OASH_2026_0397.pdf. Our submission provides specific, evidence-backed justifications addressing several core tracks of this RFI: 1. Public Experiences (Questions 2 & 3): We provide a complete longitudinal case history documenting how a high-density neighborhood 5G rollout and household wireless exposure directly aligned with an acute pediatric neuropsychiatric break, profound dissociation, encephalopathy, and severe autonomic degradation in our children. It outlines our eventual health stabilization achieved only by removing all wireless vectors and establishing an analog, hardwired sanctuary. Both impacted children have since grown into adulthood, providing the agency with a rare multi-year perspective on long-term environmental tracking. 2. Clinical Observations & Evidence Below Limits (Questions 4, 5, & 12): We present peer-reviewed biomedical evidence proving sub-thermal biological damage vastly below current federal thermal baselines. This includes Dr. Martin Pall’s research on Voltage-Gated Calcium Channel (VGCC) activation leading to blood-brain barrier permeability, which allows circulating mycotoxins and vector-borne neurotoxins (Lyme/Mold) to cross into the central nervous system. We also cite data demonstrating that ambient wireless radiation accelerates fungal pathogen defenses, directly increasing indoor mycotoxin production up to threefold. 3. Vulnerable Populations & K-12 Infrastructure Policy (Question 11): We formally demand federal recognition of biotoxin-sensitized and genetically vulnerable populations as a protected class. Furthermore, we call for an absolute mandate replacing wireless router networks with safe, hardwired fiber-optic infrastructure in K-12 school systems. Analysis of Policy Trade-offs: We acknowledge that a hardwired transition requires school districts to absorb upfront infrastructure retrofitting costs and adapt device-dependent lesson plans. However, these immediate costs are heavily outweighed by the massive, long-term public health savings, reduced student absenteeism, minimized chronic healthcare utilization, and superior local cybersecurity. This matches robust international precautionary health precedents already established in countries like France, Israel, and Cyprus. We urge the Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate this cumulative environmental synergy, move past outdated thermal metrics, and call an emergency congressional and medical panel hearing to rebuild national safety parameters from scratch. Please see our attached PDF for our full, unedited narrative testimony and primary peer-reviewed journal citations. Respectfully Submitted, Elizabeth Wright

Describes symptoms and extensive work, housing, transport and healthcare barriers attributed to wireless …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Comment on Docket HHS-OASH-2026-0397: Request for Information on EMFs, RF Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure Question 2: Perspective I am submitting this comment as an individual who experiences adverse symptoms from exposure to wireless radiation and other electromagnetic fields. Question 3: Personal Experience a. Sources: I react to cell phones, cell towers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 5G, smart meters, wireless printers, and other smart or wireless devices. c. Symptoms: When exposed, I experience heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, headaches, dizziness, nausea, disorientation, and elevated and erratic blood sugar. f. Steps taken to reduce exposure: I have no wireless internet or any kind of wireless device in my home other than a 4G cell phone for emergencies, which is kept off all of the time unless needed. Avoiding exposure has reshaped nearly every part of my life: Work: I cannot work anywhere other than at home. Housing: I cannot live in apartments or near other houses, buildings, or cell towers. Finding a safe home is becoming harder every year as wireless infrastructure expands. Transportation: I drive a 2003 vehicle because I cannot ride in most modern cars, which are full of wireless systems. Public life: I cannot stay in public places for long, and I cannot spend much time in the homes of friends and family. Healthcare and government services: I have had to walk out of medical appointments and appointments in government buildings because I became too sick to stay. Hospitals are among the hardest places for me to be. During one hospital stay, doctors did not understand why I became sicker and sicker until they realized that a wireless heart monitor was the cause and I improved once it was removed. However, the exposure usually comes from so many different sources in the building and the other equipment that the exposure cannot be removed or lowered enough. Because of this, I have had to avoid hospital stays or leave earlier than my doctors recommended. This is a serious problem when I need medical care. This is not a minor inconvenience. It limits my ability to earn a living, find housing, use transportation, receive medical care, access government services, and maintain relationships. Question 13(j) and Question 11(d) and (f): Wireless Medical Devices My doctor prescribed medical equipment that I cannot use because it relies on Bluetooth. As medical devices increasingly become wireless by default, people who react to RF exposure are being shut out of care they need. Wired or non-wireless alternatives should remain available for medical devices, and patients should be told whether a device emits RF and whether its wireless functions can be turned off. Question 11: Sensitive Populations Yes, exposure assessment should differ for sensitive populations. In addition to children and pregnant women, HHS should recognize people who experience symptoms from RF/EMF exposure as a population that needs specific study and protection (11g). Case reports have documented people developing symptoms after nearby 5G installations [18], and studies of people living near cell towers have reported symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and sleep problems [19, 20], as well as changes in blood sugar [25]. Children absorb more RF radiation into their brains and bodies than adults do [1, 2, 21]. Prenatal exposure has been linked to neurodevelopmental and behavioral changes in animals [3], and RF exposure has been associated with effects on memory performance in adolescents [4]. Question 12: Evidence of Effects Below Current Limits Current federal limits were set in 1996 and are based mainly on heating. Research has reported biological effects at levels below these limits, including oxidative stress [5], DNA damage [6, 7, 8], reproductive harm [9, 10, 11, 12], and tumors in animals exposed over their lifetimes [13]. Reviews conclude that non-thermal effects are not accounted for by current limits [14, 22, 23]. Question 14: Environmental Effects RF radiation may also affect wildlife, including bird and insect orientation and insect exposure at higher frequencies [15, 16, 17]. Recommendations [24] 1. Fund independent research on long-term and cumulative exposure. 2. Develop science-based exposure limits that account for non-thermal effects. 3. Require safety testing of wireless devices before they go on the market, and track health problems after. 4. Improve oversight and enforcement of exposure limits. 5. Reduce exposures for children, vulnerable groups, and wildlife. 6. Require wired or non-wireless options for medical devices. 7. Create low-EMF areas in hospitals, medical offices, and government buildings. 8. Require clear disclosure of RF emissions from devices, vehicles, and infrastructure. References are provided in the attached PDF.

Reports wireless sensitivity beginning near antennas, improvement after leaving and moving to a rural hom…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am a Software Engineer, IT consultant and business owner, living in south of Sweden. Discovered my sensitivity from wireless tech (RF/microwaves) in 2006, shortly after moving into an apartment that had mobile base station antennas located very close nearby. I did not notice these antennas until after I started having recurring headaches, disturbed sleep, and many other symptoms, and started investigating possible causes. Mobile phone operator Telia made an on site measuring audit showing around 8mW/As soon as I left the apartment the symptoms quickly disappeared. I have been working with computers pretty much all my life and also did my military service in radar (air force) and my own theory is that I have been sensitized as a consequence of long-term exposure over many years. Today I live in the house in the countryside working remotely via fiber connection and usually do not experience any symptoms unless I use my mobile phone or other wireless tech more extensively (which is very tempting because of my profession). I have read lots of scientific studies over the years and some illustrates the problem especially well, such as the Spanish study on the Effects of Electromagnetic Fields from Phone Masts on a Population of White Stork (by Balmori A, https://doi.org/10.1080/15368370500205472), that show with rather high significance that the birds with nests nearer to the phone base station antennas have increased likeliness problems with nesting and reproduction. My own measurements of RF radiation over the years consists of different measuring devices ranging from simpler meters such as Cornet ED88T to more advanced devices such as Gigahertz Solutions HF59b.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am sensitive to electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) and radio frequencies (RFs) caused by cell phones, electricity, WiFi, cell towers, and other wireless and electronic devices. To say that the discovery of my sensitivity greatly impacted my life, is an understatement. It nearly RUINED me, I had thoughts of ending my life. It has certainly ruined my career as a public school teacher. I can no longer teach in person because I cannot tolerate being around antennas, cell phones, smart meters, and all of the other miscellaneous wireless devices. I am forced to work from home and do not make nearly the amount of money that I used to make. I began having health issues in 2016. My symptoms included leg numbness, brain fog, balance issues, gastrointestinal issues, heart issues, and list goes on. I had never had any health issues prior, at that time I was in my mid 40s. That year, in 2016 was the first year they put WiFi on the ceiling of my classroom. Additionally, I was in a classroom with several iPads and cell phones. Through my health insurance, I had several tests done. The doctors told me it might be MS or a brain tumor. Over a 4 year period, I had blood tests, MRIs, nerve tests, endoscopy, colonoscopy, ekg, and several visits to address the many symptoms that I was experiencing. In the spring of 2020, 5g towers were being deployed all over my city and around my neighborhood. I started developing ear infections, heart issues, and my body felt like it was vibrating all the time. I knew that I hit the end of the road with Western Medicine, all the tests were inconclusive and there was nothing they could do for me. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I got rid of my WIFI and cell phone, I fully wired my home and began sleeping with the electricity off in my bedroom at night. I was still living in a housing tract and was surrounded by cell towers, so my symptoms did not completely go away, but they were greatly reduced by the changes I made. Today, I live with a lot of land separating me from my neighbors. I have a shield on my smart meter, as my electric company will not entertain an analog meter and I am 3 miles from the nearest cell tower. I do not allow cell phones or other wireless devices in my home. I now live a relatively comfortable life with minimal symptoms as long as I stay home. When going out to run errands or traveling I often experience the following: headaches, watery eyes with head pressure, trouble focusing, brain fog, inability to think clearly, balance issues and many other health symptoms depending on the type of EMF or RF and the concentration. I cannot be comfortable out in public, my trips are usually very short. There is plenty of research out there that shows the dangers of wireless radiation. In 1971, the Naval Medical Research Institute in Maryland researched the biological effects and clinical manifestations attributed to radio frequency and microwave radiation. I highlighted the symptoms that I have personally experienced as a result of wireless radiation. In the Naval Medical Research Institute report, they found that the radiation caused all of the following and more: heating of organs, corneal damage, altered menstruation, altered fetal development, liver enlargement, decreased lactation in nursing mothers, altered renal function, changes in the oxidative processes in skin and organs, altered blood flow rate, electrocardiographic changes, myocardial necrosis, dehydration, death, headaches, insomnia, cranial nerve disorders, seizures, convulsions, altered heart rhythm, structural alterations in synapses of vagus nerve, stimulation of parasympathetic nervous system and inhibition of sympathetic nervous system, depression, impotence, anxiety, lack of concentration, tremors, dizziness, scalp sensations, chest pain, increased irritability, blood disorders, vascular disorders, biochemical changes, metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine gland changes, and genetic and chromosomal changes.
