When you turn on an electronic mouse repellent or a new printer with its own router, you do expect to get pressure in the chest and ears. But that is what happened to me, and the incidents were two years apart. The second event happened in 2012, at a time when smart phones and the infrastructure to support them was being rolled out. I was healthy so it was obvious it was the frequencies in these pieces of equipment that had affected me. And at that time in my part of the UK, the environmental load of exposure to EFs and EMFs was (and still is) increasing exponentially, and my health quickly went down hill. It felt as if my brain was being jammed, and my ability to string a sentence together faltered, but woke up at 11pm when people went to bed and switched their tech off. New to me pains began to be experienced: at one point fizzing in my head would increase decrease and stop for 30 secs or more as I walked a main street full of different types of tech. In general I was getting tinnitus, brain fog, more disturbed sleep, all of which would stop if and when I found an environment low in the triggering EFs/EMFs/ and other frequencies. Fortunately I knew how to access information from the internet and quickly could find good sources of information. It was clear to me that my mercury fillings were acting as antenna and needed to be removed by someone who could do it safely. I had all 7 mercury fillings replaced and my health improved, confident speech was back. It has not been a cure all, but despite expecting to be ill for a while after this process I was not. So my surprise, no nocebo effects either. I still have to protect myself from over exposure and so there much I no longer do to avoid the pains provoked by this issue. I use wired alternatives for communication purposes, and I am dreading the complete shift to just digital and WiFi means of communication evermore gatecrashing my life. I know people who have had a terrible time at work because they become electrically sensitive. Hanging on to jobs can just become too difficult. I was fortunate in that I was already retired, when my electric sensitivity was triggered. The science is being ignored, especially re: infertility, and cancer and pain and brain fog. When I was at my worst I thought people meeting me for the first time would think I was mentally ill or suffering from early dementia. Are we not seeing huge rises in the diagnosis of these illnesses. From my own experience it is strange that the contribution of EFs/EMFs and other frequencies is not allowed on the table. My experiences with EMF impact on my life have been many. I has caused me to have headaches, involuntary body movements, screaming from body punches being zapped, brain fog, brain flutters, left ear ringing constantly, the in ability to write legibly, loosing my balance, eye pain, being relegated to 3x5 foot space in my apartment, sleep only on my left side hoping to mitigate my exposure to sleep, the loss of memory, not being able to do the simplest things: go to the doctor or hospital, attend church, concerts, eat out, travel, stay in hotels or others homes, and more; without being aware of the danger that could ensue. I keep my android phone in a medal case/container off. In order to type this information I use a rubber tip stylist. I use Ethernet, a mouse, and three EMF blocker gloves on my hand, my router is kept in a steel pot wrapped heavy foil. At night I unplug everything accept the refrigerator, and the stove. I never use the microwave oven. I live a lovely small town in the business district. However, I 'm surrounded by electrical infrastructure, so the windows are covered with two plywood board, and EMF blocker net/fabric in ever room accept the back windows in the small laundry room, and bathroom. Just walking to collect my mail or lingering at the front to greet my neighbors is a danger. Walking around in my apartment or washing dishes is a problem. I can't sit anywhere other than the small space in my laundry room. I could go on, but suffice it to say EMF is a real, and very usual challenge for me daily.

I suffered greatly from headaches, but we could not find the cause. The headaches just kept getting worse; eventually, I had them day and night. I took a lot of painkillers and muscle relaxants, but over time, they stopped working as well. I felt nauseous, vomited, and couldn't manage to eat much. I tried everything that was suggested, but nothing helped. I was desperate! One day in 1985, I collapsed—my body went into spasms. And I was sent to hospital. I was hospitalised 14 days in the emergency unit in Oslo University Hospital in connection with a total collapse caused by an unknown condition. I was diagnosed with a virus infection of the brain. After 3 months of sick leave, I returned to work and suffered from an acute headache within 5 minutes of entering my office. We discovered the office was built over a transformer: “mystery solved”, it was not a virus infection of the brain, it was a radiation sickness. We were happy to understand the problem. However, my doctor couldn´t help, and the Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority told the doctor and me that these electromagnetic fields could not harm my body at all. I was lucky that my boss was an electro-engineer, and he understood very well that an external electromagnetic field (EMF) could interfere with my body’s electric signals. I got a new office, a flat screen monitor (very expensive at that time, but I couldn´t use the old CRT screens because of the radiation) and could continue my work. As I started to search for more knowledge about the radiation sickness - now called electro- hypersensitivity (EHS) - I got in contact with dr. Olle Johansson from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. I have had a good life, but I have to make certain adjustments and take specific precautions. Our family has had to move a couple of times due to external sources (mobile masts). We use wired connections for telephones, PCs, and so on, and we have an exemption from AMS (smart meters). I cannot travel by train—or any other form of public transport, for that matter—because of all the people carrying mobile phones. Since 2001, I have been working within voluntary organizations to help other people who are electro-hypersensitive. I am Secretary General in Citizens´ Radiation Protection in Norway (folkets-stralevern.no) and also President in International EMF Association (iemfa.org).

Hello - To be brief, I am a medical professional and read Dr Robert O Beckers books about the harms and benefits of RF as well as listening to many investigators on the subject of RF , WIFI and EMF in general such as radiation research.org. I had moved to a 10 acre piece of land in Fl and keep my WIFI off unless needed. Everything is hard wired. In 2025 the SECO corporation, my electric provider, decided to strong arm me into placing a smart meter on my home after many letters and objections, it didn’t matter - they would bring the sheriff if I continued to refuse. If I tried to use my faraday cage again they would fine me $200. I informed them that our new HHS Secretary would be speaking out against wide use of EMF. We are electrical beings and of course there will be health effects. Please, at least educate and give people the opportunity to choose. Thank You

Thank you so much for this opportunity to share with you the effects I have experienced from adverse electromagnetic fields and to share the mitigations I have used to protect myself and others. May this lead to a safer, healthier world. -- financial costs from acting on that conviction. Electric Vehicle I bought at 2017 Bolt EV on January 5, 2018 for $42,428. I love the car! But within several months I realized I was becoming disoriented when driving it. At one point I was lost in my own neighborhood. I had been hearing about the adverse effects of radio frequency (RF), so I purchased an EMFields Acousticom 2, which displays RF in volts/meter. Inside the Bolt, the meter showed red light warnings of 3 to 6 V/m. I turn everything off that seemed a possible cause for that reading but nothing changed. I took the car to the Napa Chevy dealer where the technician was also unable to reduce the RF. He called back to Michigan where they told him that the RF could not be turned off because the car would not work. [Around the house I had started thinking I was getting old because tying my slipper laces had become complicated. After I quit driving the bolt tying my slipper laces once again became quite easy.] For someone who was not as aware as I was, they could have been diagnosed with dementia with the real cause unknown! My brain was much more valuable than the car, so on 8/21/2020 I sold the car for $17,500 losing $24,959 SOLAR In the spring of 2018 I paid $19,350 for the installation of 16 solar panels. The installation included an Enphase solar reporting system with a clever app that would tell you how much each of your panels were producing and when. HVAC Heat pumps are energy efficient heating and cooling systems. In May 2018 I paid for a ducted Fujitsu mini split HVAC system. Between the solar and the HVAC, our PG&E bill was reduced and I was happy we were doing our part to reduce climate change. RF SAFE HOME? BY 2022 I was having adverse reactions to RF. I had done everything I could to create an RF safe home. All of our devices we’re connected via Ethernet. My cell phone was always either off or in airplane mode. An Ethernet adapter allowed me to send email and photos from my phone. Because I have a MacBook I could even send and receive texts from other iPhones. I am grateful for my husband’s understanding and for family and friends who supported me by turning off their phones whenever they came to visit. But my RF sensitivity was getting worse. I was having difficulty tolerating the cell phones and Wi-Fi where we have loved to dance and socialize. For my 80th birthday in 2023, I even paid for the cover charge for 50+ dancers with the ask that everyone keep their cell phones off or in airplane mode. Everyone had a good time, and until then many of the people had no idea that there could be any harm from a cell phone. Thanks to 5G, I was completely unable to tolerate attending our grandson’s football games where my brain would become paralyzed and there was intense pressure in my heart when I was around people who were recording and uploading videos to the internet as they were taking them. BUILDING BIOLOGIST TO THE RESCUE Eric Windheim, a building biologist, did his first assessment here 12/28/23. He immediately discovered our Enphase solar reporting system and our “clean energy” Fujitsu mini split HVAC we’re radiating huge amounts of dirty electricity (DE) which were riding on our 110 electrical wires. As soon the circuit breakers for those two systems were turned off, my whole body felt relief from the tension I didn’t even know I had. The Enphase breakers have remained off, and I was able to confirm, through the PG & E website, that we are getting credit for our solar. The Enphase reporting system is unnecessary. fireplace and electric space heaters. Fortunately, our solar micro inverters we are much cleaner than large central inverters which have caused DE problems in earlier days.

As a mother I advocate for safer tech habits, including using speakerphone and wired headphones, keeping wireless devices away from one self and my children's bodies when practical, turning Wi-fi off when not in use and utilizing direct hard wire connection when feasible. Therefore I believe there should be more regulations and studies to limit this radio frequency exposure, mothers should not have to choose between benefits of modernized tech and the health of ones children.

One night in 2006 after 1 year of constant exposure I was woken up at approx. 3 AM with a debilitating headache, my brain on fire causing massive sweating to the point that my pillow could hardly be picked up as the thermal effects had cooked my head profusely. I soon discovered that each time I entered my home the head aches started. I then was NOT able to sleep, watch TV, eat at my dining room or spend any time in my home office without suffering major pains and more debilitating headaches. In trying to sleep in my bed I was allowed apprx. A few hours before the pain and headaches would begin again. I soon could NOT spend much time if any in my home without suffering badly from microwave poisoning. I was forced to abandon my home and seek refuge in any area that was not heavily bombarded with transmissions from cell towers which was just about impossible in the Kihei area. I subsequently suffered from heavy memory loss to the point that I could not work or barely function in my life. I had problems remembering my own phone number and was totally unable to do any of my contracting business which require lots of calculating. I was disabled by this condition for more than a year. I had found that spending time away from home and soaking my head in cold water frequently would help some. I began to research my condition and found that it is well know that the effects of microwaves cause many many people like me to suffer many painful symptoms. The thought by many medical professionals and scientist is that this condition is called EHS Electro Hyper sensitivity. It is reported around the world that many others are suffering from this exposure to microwaves and that there are tons of scientist that have proof that there is extreme dangers to the human body from microwave radiation. I have been battling this condition since 2006. I have read and studied all I can in an attempt to mitigate the symptoms as much as possible. I was not able to leave my home as my income was drastically reduced due to my inability to function. I was unable to pay my mortgage and subsequently filed for bankruptcy. I have been forced to stay in this home since then as I had no extra money or even credit to move or purchase another home. My home is still in litigation at this time. As I was able to somehow cope with my condition and start generating some money I began to purchase all kinds of equipment to test for safe areas and also buy protective clothing or shielding to make my home more livable. The towers near me were increasing in numbers and strength to illegal limits. I contacted FCC but they said they had no agents in Hawaii and that they allow the cell companies to police themselves. In other words they would do nothing to protect humans suffering and gave free reign to the telecommunications people in FULL. Page 3 Ron Schranz Microwave poisoning continued With the proliferation of solar systems in Hawaii now and even though the PUC has NOT given the local electric company permission to change out home owners electric meters to Smart meters/Digital meters the electric company has used the excuse of solar systems installed on home to swap out analog meters with now Digital meters. I now have 8 digital meters on homes surrounding me and I am being FRIED to death in my own home. This is CRIMINAL TRESPASSING at it’s worst. I walk into my home and instantly feel dizzy along with major eye pains gripping within moments of entering. The eye pains are excruciating and now have gotten to the point of causing major damage to my eyes. My right eye has a swollen macular blurring out any vision in that eye. My left eye has a hole in the retina and is in just as much pain. My entire property is now radiated 24/7. I can not even work the yard or wash my car without felling all these painful symptoms. As HHS I implore you to take action and STOP all this destruction of all our families especially children. I am responding from the perspective of an advocate and concerned member of the public. I am in shock at the seeming endless explosion of cell towers and WIFI being everywhere. Perhaps this is why even though I am a robustly healthy person who eats organic food, exercises, drinks only water, and practices a healthy lifestyle, my head feels bad every day. This never happened before a smart meter was put on our house. Why are WIFI routers allowed in schools where children go every day. Their skulls are thinner, and their brains are developing. We should have ethernet cables in all schools, in offices, in hospitals, and homes. Wifi comes with a lot of hazards and HHS needs to look into this. Please don't trust any research from the organizations that are creating the EMF and EMR hazards. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a chronically ill individual dealing with pain and fatigue. In my search for answers to alleviate my pain and exhaustion, I learned about EMFs and how they damage the long-term biological health of our cells and prevent healing according to Dr. Devra Davis, Dr. Martin Pall, and Dr. Deitrich Klinghardt. So I decided to do my own experiment to see if eliminating sources of EMFs would make me feel better. I had 2 certified building biologists come into my home and do an assessment of the current EMFs. I had high levels of magnetic fields due to nearby powerlines, moderate levels of electric fields due to in house wiring mistakes, and extreme levels of wireless radiation in the home (according to Building Biology guidelines) due to wireless devices throughout my home. The building biologist suggested the following: 1) I turn off the electricity at night to combat the electrical fields in certain rooms, 2) I hardwire everything in my home and eliminate all RF and Wireless devices, and 3) obtain a Qi Machine that is suppose to help neutralize the various EMFs and create a more balanced energy field. I did all 3 of these suggested changes, and I had really great results with my severe back pain and overall body aches and fatigue. I still suffer from these ailments, but I went from a 9 out of 10 to a 6 out of 10 by making these changes. I even did multiple experiments where I would take the 3 suggestions and turn them on one night and turn them off the next. The results were consistent and my pain/fatigue would re-surge when I exposed myself to the EMFs, or the pain/fatigue was reduced when I made the changes each night and removed the EMFs as much as I could. I have noticed since I made these changes in my home, I have developed an almost 6th sense to when someone is sending/receiving on their cell phones. I have developed a heightened sense that occurs in my brain when signals are present and close by. This further deepens my experience as these EMFs should really be studied. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of EMFs and specifically, wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. October 15, 2026 To: the US Federal Communications Commission To: the US Health and Human Services agency From Charyl Zehfus Re: FCC & HHS call for public comments, and science uploads regarding wireless bio-effects, and in response to the 2021 lawsuit lost by FCC I am uploading some science and documents along with my comment regarding my ongoing experience of health issues due to FCC failure to regulate manmade electromagnetic fields for biological effects, especially the oxidative stress mechanism. I recently found a news article about a Town of Berlin Wisconsin family who are unable to refuse a new smart meter from Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (electric) despite concerns and a doctor’s opinion that the man should avoid radiofrequency in his vicinity. “The Christensens are one of 12 WPS customers that refuse new smart meters – now they’re adapting to life without power” first appeared in City Pages (date). The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel apparently refused to cover it due to a reference to “wireless radiation sickness.” This echoes my earlier experience in Wisconsin in 2012-2014, where WPSC and Alliant Energy refused to allow an opt out from their gas and electric smart meters. I did not know this was still going on, but it must stop now. State rights should not blot out Americans with Disabilities needs nor health provider constitutional thought freedom – in matters controlling your home/school environment. People during Pres. Obama’s time in other states were able to opt out of transmitting meters, but in my state the Public Service Commission fought tooth and nail to prevent anyone from doing so. They used every detail possible, excluding utilities from any ADA requirements. My long-time high level reputable medical provider letter was ignored and countered with a traditional medical industry (unelected) organization’s opinion. For justice and awareness I am attaching their refusal document to show what they put people through. My 2014 letter to the US DOJ went unanswered despite my calls for months. I am attaching this, as well, in hopes to protect coming generations from this kind of injustice. I finally moved, though utility transmitter constant exposure issues continue for everyone. The oxidative effects are not immediately registered by everyone, but the additive, cumulative bio-impacts are supported by many studies showing mechanisms inhibiting normal cellular functions. Oxidative stress is recognized as a cause for numerous symptoms and impacts on inflammatory conditions and diseases by specialists/scientists. Ongoing science continues to point to oxidative stress as one effect of low level pulsed microwave radiation. Please view the sample of such science attached. Oxidative stress is an important problem affecting health. The Mayo Clinic recognizes that “chronic inflammation can be caused/affected by “…exposure to environmental triggers such as pollution.” (attached) Citizens continue to be stuck at the mercy of the utility lobby in their state. This injustice must end. FCC and HHS need to create federal rules to enforce ADA opt outs at the bare minimum. It must insure DOJ pathways to accommodation do not drag out for months. Our medical freedom should include respecting our own doctors’ recognition of electromagnetic effects and risks, not be pitted against some unelected big medicine organization or club. Another corrective action is for FCC, HHS (and FDA) to admit THEY HAVE NOT PROVEN BIOLOGICAL IMPACTS CANNOT OR DO NOT OCCUR. To support consumer choice and innovation, FCC should actively promote alternative connections, including fiber to premises with innovative indoors FIBER PORTS, and Li-Fi connectivity, which does not blanket whole areas with transmissions or exposures.
