I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure.
I am responding from the perspective of a grandparent and concerned member of the public
When I am exposed to wireless radiation from wireless towers and high power lines even for brief periods of time, I experience sever headaches and an overwhelming feeling of pressure on my body. This effect has increased over time as more and more. 5G towers have been built and activated in and around areas where I have lived. Relocation to areas away from towers and high power lines has made a huge difference in the quality of my life. I believe HHS should address this issue on behalf of all of us who have and will continue to have physical pain and health issues due to the continuous exposure to the wireless radiation that needs to be mitigated.
I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.
I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.
Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

For many years, I believe I have experienced insomnia, extreme agitation, depression, anxiety due to wireless radiation. My husband has experienced acoustic neuroma and meningioma which we believe is due to wireless radiation. We do not have WiFi in our home and instead use landlines for computer internet connection. But, we have no control over our neighbors' use of WiFi or cellular antennas. I believe much more research and the accurate publishing of research results MUST be made completely clear to the public. On mainstream channels, not buried in a little read or known source.

One major gap in EMF research is that we keep asking what electromagnetic frequencies do to human cells while largely ignoring what they may do to the microbes living inside the human body.
Humans are not biologically sterile. We carry complex communities of bacteria, fungi, viruses & other microorganisms throughout the gut, lungs, mouth, skin & other tissues. These organisms influence immune function, inflammation, metabolism, neurotransmitter activity, barrier integrity & overall biological stability.
If electromagnetic exposure can alter microbial growth, metabolism, oxidative stress responses, gene expression, biofilm behavior or fungal activity, then EMFs may affect human health indirectly as well as directly.
That creates a much larger biological pathway:
EMF exposure → microbial stress response → altered microbial metabolism & behavior → altered metabolites, inflammatory signaling & oxidative stress → immune dysregulation, neurological effects & systemic illness.
This may be especially important with fungi because fungi respond dynamically to environmental stress & are capable of producing powerful secondary metabolites, including mycotoxins. Research should examine whether chronic RF/EMF exposure can influence fungal growth, sporulation, biofilm formation, virulence or secondary metabolite production both inside the human body & within water-damaged indoor environments.
The human body should therefore be studied as a complete biological ecosystem, not as isolated human cells.
We may actually be looking at two systems being exposed simultaneously:
the human host
&
the microbial ecosystem living within that host.
Those systems continuously interact.
A relatively weak environmental signal would not necessarily need to directly destroy human tissue to create a substantial biological effect if that signal changes the behavior of organisms capable of replication, communication, biofilm formation & chemical production.
This is why HHS should investigate the intersection of bioelectromagnetics, microbiology, mycology, mycotoxicology, neuroscience, immunology & microbiome science.
The question should no longer be only:
“What do electromagnetic fields do to human cells?”
We also need to ask:
“What do electromagnetic fields do to the microorganisms living inside us, & what do those microorganisms then do to the human body?”
Until that interaction is properly investigated, we may be studying only half of the biological picture.
I live in Denmark. I developed electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) in 2020, when new frequencies were introduced in the country. The municipality where I lived served as a test site for 5G. I experienced headaches, tremors throughout my body, and a sensation of heat on my skin. My eyes would hurt whenever I looked toward a mast, and I felt these adverse effects whenever I drew near one. At the same time, I observed that nature was also reacting to these new frequencies; leaves near the masts and wireless equipment took on autumn colors—turning red, yellow, and brown—in the middle of summer. Simultaneously, the insects disappeared from my garden; the air became completely empty.
My symptoms reached a critical point one night when I developed heart problems. I received no help, as I was not believed when I spoke about Wi-Fi and masts. I was forced to move away from that municipality and had to purchase clothing and hats to protect myself. I am now disabled, yet I cannot access any assistance regarding employment or other support, as this disability is not officially recognized in this country.
Doctors acknowledge my condition but dare not speak out, fearing repercussions.
Since then, I have met many others who share my experience—
people living highly isolated lives, unable to obtain any help.
A young, exceptionally talented musician who developed this disability died by suicide a few years ago; he could find no support, and his family never acknowledged his condition. He ended his life while staying at a nursing home for the elderly.
It is deeply tragic.

I am responding from the perspective of a healthcare professional. I have had a dramatic increase in younger patients suffering from affective disorders and have seen or heard of more autistic children. I did have one patient in his 30’s develop a primary brain cancer from approximately 20 years ago who stated he was on his cell phone constantly and on the same side developed the cancer. He blamed his cell phone use and did expire. After reviewing the early studies regarding EMF’s some time ago I recall being left with the thought there has to be more research considering the unexplained increases in disease occurring. I believe HHS should address this issue.

I was at a loading dock. behind a store when my head started to feel uncomfortable and this developed into a headache. I noticed the worker who loaded for us was very stressed out. I began to wonder what was happening. I looked around and saw a microwave tower about forty feet away. As soon as I left the area I began to feel better. My headache left in about an hour. Also, after our Smart Meters were installed several years ago, my husband and I have had some brain fog. Isn't there a better way to communicate without harming people with radiation? Thank you for your time reading this.
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am responding from the perspective of a parent and healthcare professional.
Having read Dr Devra Davis' Book, "Disconnect" over a decade ago, I experimented on wireless radiation and its effects on me and my family (two young boys aged 1 and 4 years young).
The source is our WiFi, which went left on over night seriously affected our circadian rhythms. Our children often woke up sleep walking and sometimes having a nightmare. I often found myself having to go to the toilet once or twice a night, but at my young age of 39 I have no bladder challenges.
The exciting news was, once we turned our WiFi off, no more sleep disturbances and no more bathroom visits!
We also chose to turn our phones off before retiring and found that not staring at a bright screen before bed presented us with an improved sleep pattern.
We personally believe HHS needs to address this issue and as you'll be aware the World Health Organisation regards 'dirty electricity' which includes cells phones and WiFi as a possible carcinogen and we you believe HHS should address this issue.

wireless waves are accumulating and dangerous. The phone hurts my hands after awhile. My daughter gets headaches near towers. My ears ring near towers. We have to change technology or turn back to safe zones.
Exposure to the high levels of wireless radiation has badly impaired my hearing. A few years ago my hearing was perfect. When the new renters in the neighboring apartments in my building began using stronger routers, I noticed frightening symptoms...a constant buzzing in my ears, sometimes a ringing. When my hearing was tested after a few months of this torture, it had deteriorated markedly.
My life is no longer the same. I suffer from a serious thyroid condition and symptoms that prevent me from leading a normal life.
As soon as I pick up the phone, I start to experience pain in my bones and breasts.
I developed a large lump in my breast five years ago, and that is exactly where it hurts when I pick up the phone.
I suffer from dizziness and difficulty keeping my balance,
a cold, burning sensation in my head and fatigue. I often experience arrhythmias and paroxysmal tachycardia.
Lately, I’ve been feeling worse because I live not far from a 5G mast.
How can one protect oneself when Wi-Fi is everywhere?
How can one work in this state?
You must acknowledge that you are destroying the lives of adults and children.
But perhaps that is exactly what you want.
