My name is Lene Hannisdahl Haug, and this document serves to summarize the severe and life-threatening impact that electromagnetic radiation, particularly 5G, is having on my health, my family, and my daily existence.
• Acute Physical Suffering: Since the 5G radiation was directed at my home, I have developed severe health failures. I suffer from a constant, infernal, and throbbing headache that lasts day and night. The pain is so intense that it makes me nauseous, and it causes severe cognitive impairment to the point where I can barely move, think, or even hold my head up to write. I experience this continuous exposure as pure physical torture, and my body reacts as though I am constantly being beaten.
• Loss of Freedom and Total Confinement: My life has been drastically restricted to protect myself from radiation. Due to my sensitivity to smart meters (AMS), I have lived like a prisoner in my own home since the fall of 2018. However, the upgrade to 5G has turned this confinement into unbearable torture. I cannot even step outside my house to enjoy the weather, leaving me with less freedom than a prison inmate who is at least allowed daily outdoor time.
• Forced Displacement and Isolation: The pain became so unendurable that I had to flee my own home to survive. To escape the 5G pulses and frequencies, I lived in complete isolation at a remote cabin far away from civilization. While this allowed me to recover my health physically, it forced me into heartbreaking isolation, separated entirely from my husband and children.
• Devastating Impact on Family Life: The radiation exposure prevents me from participating in the most important moments of my family's life.Most tragically, the radiation environment and the physical pain completely prevented me from attending my own mother's funeral in the church.
• Documented Cause and Effect: There is an undeniable and documented pattern regarding my illness. Throughout 2024 and 2025, my health completely collapsed during periods of 5G exposure, yet I partly recovered and became healthy during the periods when the environment was restricted to 4G.
• A Fight for Survival: I am living in an acute, ongoing emergency. The situation is so desperate that I feel like I am drowning. With telecom operators planning to activate even more 5G transmitters pointing directly at my house in the direct line of sight, I am terrified for my life and am pleading with authorities for immediate protection.
In early 2021, both adults in my household began experiencing a mysterious raft of ongoing and debilitating health problems with no obvious cause. We experienced chaotic changes in blood pressure, dizziness and brain fog, chronic fatigue, loss of control over muscle tension, unrestorative sleep, memory problems, lack of focus, and persistent feelings of doom. Most mysteriously, our symptoms would resolve when temporarily relocating to remote areas, but we were in no position to make any such move permanent. After experiencing such severe and prolonged symptoms that I was no longer able to work---after over a decade providing my family's primary income---I spent my available energy seeking medical help to try to understand the cause of all our troubles.
After two years, I made a series of shocking discoveries: (1) that our symptoms strongly matched those of sufferers of microwave syndrome, discovered decades before, but paid little attention by the medical profession; (2) that the time our symptoms appeared coincided with the rollout of 5G networks in our community; (3) that researchers all over the world had connected reports of similar suffering to the deployment of 5G networks; and most terribly, (4) that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission had pointedly ignored this research, even in defiance of federal court orders that they give it due consideration.
When I became a licensed amateur radio operator as a child, I was taught that the FCC maintained evidence-based radio frequency exposure standards to protect public health and welfare while facilitating effective communications. Recent events have made clear that the FCC no longer maintains either expertise or interest in the first of these goals, while its close relationships with telecommunications companies have compromised even its ability to follow the most basic directives of the law. With the massive increase in radio frequency exposures now pervading our country, it is clear that protecting people and other organisms from electromagnetic pollution should become primary responsibilities of the agencies charged with caring for human health and the environment, HHS and EPA.
Today my children suffer concerning sleep disruptions that make me worry for their healthy development---yet another characteristic sign of microwave syndrome. I have tried to find a way to measure the electromagnetic pollution where we live, but I found that equipment able to distinguish individual sources of radiation at 5G frequencies costs tens of thousands of dollars. We may ultimately be forced to uproot ourselves from our community---our families, friends, schools, and remaining source of income---in order to find a place where we can be safe and fully alive once more. It devastates me to think how our government has failed us and so many other families in the single-minded pursuit of technological advancement at all costs, ignoring the scientific process that has allowed our society to manage progress in the past.
For your reference, I am attaching below two scientific publications representative of hundreds more in their respective categories. The first is a case report documenting the clear association between 5G station deployment and debilitating microwave syndrome symptoms in the two adults of another household in Sweden, beginning also in 2021. The second is a review article documenting that the FCC's current exposure limits are based on wishful assumptions rather than consideration of scientific evidence. These are but two samples from a vast scientific literature that has been sidelined in the rush to deploy faster and faster wireless networks.
I call on HHS to take charge of a new, scientifically honest program to reevaluate and regulate environmental exposure to man-made electromagnetic radiation. For every American who experiences an added convenience shaving seconds off a gigabyte mobile download, there is one suffering in silence whose life has been shattered by a poisonous force they cannot even see.
I live in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, Japan (33.5569398°N 133.5457296°E). The Kochi Prefectural Police and a cult-like religious group are subjecting me to electromagnetic wave attacks. Whenever I go out, the Kochi Prefectural Police deploy drones or UAVs—aerial objects that emit loud, jet-like roaring sounds (there are multiple such craft, including some that produce quieter, yet still intense, noise). These objects lack visible identification lights and do not emit any light; it is unclear whether they are manned or unmanned. They constantly generate electromagnetic waves, exposing me to their harmful effects. Recently, these aerial objects appear every time I leave my home; they follow me as I move, hovering overhead and producing loud, roaring noises. Although the craft themselves remain invisible, their presence and the fact that they track my movements are evident—bystanders, unaware of what is happening, often look up toward the source of the noise, searching for the craft that cannot be seen (33°32'59.7"N 133°33'09.6"E). They are left bewildered, hearing the sounds but seeing nothing. I want this "gang stalking" by a state institution to stop. Similar electromagnetic wave attacks are also carried out using police helicopters. Specifically, police helicopters engage in abnormally low-altitude flights, targeting me with electromagnetic waves and the shockwaves generated by their rotating rotors. (On one occasion, an object even hovered at an altitude lower than the 68.70-meter height of the Kochi City Culture Plaza "Cul-Port"—a building near where I live—and remained there, confronting me.) The Kochi Prefectural Police have been conducting GPS-based surveillance, continuously funneling this location data via a smartphone app to a cult-like religious group. This group then targets the places I visit with electromagnetic radiation (often by collectively pointing devices—ostensibly smartphones—toward me). I am also subjected to electromagnetic wave-generating equipment, as well as low-frequency or intermittent, deep, heavy-bass sounds. (These are directed toward my apartment unit; I hear faint, rhythmic "thud-thud" sounds. It is unclear whether these are the startup noises of machinery or intentionally generated low-frequency/intermittent deep-bass sounds, but I notice them whenever I wake up—suggesting that my sleep is being deliberately disrupted.) Furthermore, I received a letter from "Shikoku Electric Power Transmission & Distribution"—a subsidiary of "Shikoku Electric Power"—regarding the installation of a "smart meter" equipped with communication capabilities. I am deeply frustrated by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (a Japanese government body) and its disregard for the public; it appears to prioritize the interests of gas and electricity utility companies while completely ignoring the concerns of individuals like myself who suffer from "electromagnetic hypersensitivity." Since the installation of this smart meter, I have experienced a recurring, abnormal phenomenon: I wake up approximately every 30 minutes. (This is directly linked to the smart meter’s practice of transmitting power consumption data every 30 minutes.) This interferes with fundamental human physiological needs and poses a serious danger. Notably, this issue is not mentioned in any documentation provided by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, including materials regarding "opt-out" procedures. I am being subjected to an outrageous and egregious ordeal: a forced, unilateral demand for payment of ¥44,000. The conduct of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy and Shikoku Electric Power—actions that trample upon human dignity—cannot be overlooked. My sleep has been disrupted, and I am being coerced into paying money; such acts, which border on crimes against humanity, are being carried out brazenly in Japan by both corporations and state institutions. While Shikoku Electric Power’s website features a Q&A section, it shows a complete lack of consideration for those who have been victimized. It is clear that Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is operating with a focus on profit rather than understanding the reality of the situation. I demand an immediate end to the use of smart meters. In Japan, state institutions and the police fail to function as they should; instead, they sacrifice the public to serve their own vested interests, stealing taxpayer money to line their own pockets. The police are the ringleaders of this evil. They commit wrongdoing themselves, yet they are never held accountable. I demand that they be purged immediately.

I am in shock at the seeming endless explosion of cell towers and WIFI being everywhere. Perhaps this is why even though I am a robustly healthy person who eats organic food, exercises, drinks only water, and practices a healthy lifestyle, my head feels bad every day. This never happened before a smart meter was put on our house. Why are WIFI routers allowed in schools where children go every day. Their skulls are thinner, and their brains are developing. We should have ethernet cables in all schools, in offices, in hospitals, and homes. Wifi comes with a lot of hazards and HHS needs to look into this. Please don't trust any research from the organizations that are creating the EMF and EMR hazards.
I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.
I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.

Back in 2014 a bank of 7 wireless electric smart meters were installed in the condo building where I lived at the time. The same day they were installed I began experiencing vertigo and balance problems. As time went on I experienced brain fog and pressure in my head. The symptoms were bad enough that I was forced to vacate my unit and move back in with my mom for about a year until I was able to sell my condo and purchase a single family home free from smart meters.
There are scientific studies that show that EMF's can act via Voltage-Gated Calcium Channels (VGCC's) to cause adverse biological effects. Please investigate the research published by Dr. Martin Pall. Also, the Bioinitiative Report (first published in 2012 and updated since) provides a rationale for Biologically based Exposure Standards for Electromagnetic Radiation.

Since the over population of towers during the pandemic, the delirious effects of microwave technology has erroded my physical and mental well-being. I have had a string of adverse events from exposure within 1-2 miles of these RF towers and antenna to the point where I actually have to avoid places I once enjoyed visiting. Nothing has been the same. Everything, everywhere has become so inundated with this technology, that I feel the affects of it even with my phone turned off I see how it degraded and erroded the physical and natural structures around it, which is deeply concerning. I feel the effects of the thermal heating, subcutaneous and neurological impacts and overall disruption in my biological systems when I am near them. The regulations are way behind the times, and our future depends on an rigourous intervention that prevents further harm from all Living things, and the health of all populations regardless of where you live. RF has become overly invasive and we are at a turning point in history. I spent my entire summer with chronic issues due to these recent upgrades in my areas. I suffered through days of profound anxiety, insomnia, exhaustion, depression, heart issues, rashes, headaches, shingles, brain fog and the list goes on. At one point, I even thought I was going to have to move! Please HHS, this has to far... and I think 6G could do devastating harm if the appropriate regulations are not out into place right away. Set back requirements, tower limits, residential restrictions, and hotel accommodations for the sensitive, and non invasive tech in rentals should all be considered. The overload of RF is making us all sick and tired. Thank you for your attention to this and for taking action now.
My life has been turned upside down ever since the 5G mast was installed near my home. From that moment on, I began experiencing serious health problems that I associate with exposure to electromagnetic radiation. My symptoms, including tinnitus, dizziness, heart palpitations, breathlessness, sleep disturbances and concentration problems, have made everyday life increasingly difficult.
Eventually, I felt forced to leave my home and the life I had built. I lost my stability, my belongings, my financial security and the feeling of having a place in this world where I could live in peace. I have been fighting to get my life back, but instead of receiving the understanding and support I desperately need, I have found myself struggling to survive.
I have lost so much: my home, my peace of mind, my health and my sense of security. I am exhausted from constantly having to fight just to keep going. I never wanted this life, and I never imagined I would end up in this situation.
I am still fighting, even when it feels as though everything is slipping away from me. All I want is to recover, to live somewhere I can feel safe, and to rebuild the life I had before everything changed. I want my life back.

My life my sleep is interrupted numerous times each night since smart meters we installed at large all over NY. I live in a bldg with 60 smart meters. I personally opted out and my actual usage is obtainable; but I am continually botherec by EMF that is very intrusive. I am a Pharmacist studying for Lifestyle Medicine Board Certification exam because I no longer am able to take Perdiem jobs because I get woken up to many times each night.

NYS comptroller Joseph Hernandez to present valuable information to consider.
Compare medication usage, prescriptions written and filled for blood pressure meds and insomnia meds between 2010-2019 and compare to prescription prescribing spending usage 2019-2026.
The increase in prescriptions and diagnoses between two time frames is because almost everyone, almost every household got smart meters installed in 2019 and since then everyone is being woken up at night with blood pressure or arrhythmia symptoms that are triggered by smart meter signals. Smart meters are costing US prescription expenses and expenses for related services needed.
Re Regulations: Smart meter monitoring should not be allowed from 8pm to 8am.
If we want people to be well, we as a society need to shut down electronic energy during the night and get deep restorative sleep.
