Reports palpitations around Wi-Fi and severe discomfort near a transmission line, describes sleeping away…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I’m not sure why but I can’t have my wifi on in the house at all. My heart starts having palpitations and I get very emotional. My last dream home I bought was a few feet away from a transmission line and from day one my whole body felt like it was getting shocked. It was a living nightmare. I somehow got through RN school sleeping in my car away from the house. Finally we moved to the country and I’m fine. I just can’t have the wifi on so it stays off when I’m here! My child’s brand new school is getting built and there is a cell tower right above it. Please make it mandatory all cell towers have to be removed from a child’s school or with in so many feet. We know they cause cancer already so what are we waiting for

Reports an acoustic neuroma and hearing loss attributed to cellphone use, describes occupational and soci…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient. I am currently 75. Around 2011 I experienced tinnitus in my right ear only. I consulted an ear, nose, and throat doctor, who sent me for an MRI. He said that one sided hearing loss could be caused by a tumor. The MRI revealed that I had an acoustic neuroma. These tumors are usually benign, but if they grow, they can require invasive surgery which can result in hearing loss, facial paralysis, and more. These tumors take up to 10 years to form. I started using a cell phone around 2001. From the beginning, I believed that my tumor was caused by cell phone use. I'm right handed, its my right ear, and I held my phone up to that ear for long periods of time talking to people long distance with that phone. I was unaware of the radiation coming from cell phones. At first I had an MRI with contrast yearly for 7 years. That contrast was gadolinium which is a heavy metal. I now regret complying with that requirement because of the possible health ramifications from heavy metals. Current medical research indicates that the contrast is not required for MRIs of acoustic neuromas and my current doctor agrees. Initially, it was very frightening to have a tumor in my head and I experienced anxiety about the possibility that invasive surgery might be required. When my tumor was diagnosed, the medical literature did not show a relationship between acoustic neuroma and cell phone use, but it does now. Initially, my doctor did not attribute the tumor to cell phone use. My current doctor does. Yet, the general public continues to use these phones and to give them to their children to use with little understanding of the possible health consequences. Now I often tell people about my tumor and the fact that research has proven that they are caused by cell phone radiation. The public needs to know this and our government needs to protect American citizens from this danger, especially vulnerable children. I do as much as I can to avoid exposure to radiation which is very difficult in a world where 5G is everywhere, xrays are often recommended, smart meters are forced on American citizens, etc. I was an academic librarian when I started to lose the hearing in my right ear. That loss affected my ability to hear students who asked questions at the reference desk and to hear students during my presentations to classes. I have difficulty hearing people speak when there is a great deal of background noise and this affects my relationships and ability to communicate. I must position myself with my good ear closest to the person speaking in many situations in order to hear conversation. Sometimes I stop trying to hear. Fortunately, as soon as I stopped holding the phone up to my ear, my tumor stopped growing. I have been watching and waiting for years now. My doctor believes that my tumor will not grow and I can avoid surgery. Others are not so lucky. I have seen patients at support group meetings who have experienced facial paralysis as a result of their surgery. I object to being exposed to more and more unchecked radiation in the world that we live in and believe that it is unconscionable that our government has not protected its citizens from this danger. Data centers are springing up everywhere exposing the public to more and more technology and radiation. Technology companies should have to prove that their products are safe prior to putting them on the market. Instead, citizens are injured and must prove that the technology caused their injury. How many of those children now using cell phones will have tumors like mine in 10 years or cancerous tumors as a result of cell phone radiation? Therefore, I wholeheartedly support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard. I am very lucky that my tumor has only taken my hearing in one ear and has stopped growing. Others will continue to experience these tumors until the health of American citizens is prioritized and companies are required to prove that their products are safe before they can sell them.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I used to laugh at people that believe in this, now I know it’s real. I suffer from it. Every neurodivergent person, autistic person, highly sensitive person suffers from the effects of EMF. It affects us down to our cells. It is bringing harm to our lives and to our world. 6G internet isn’t better. Again, I used to scoff. Now, I see.

Reports head, ear and arm discomfort with phones and computers, describes low-SAR and distancing choices,…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am commenting for myself and in support of increased evaluation of the negative effects of wireless radiation. I first experienced the effects when my husband bought me a cell phone. I tried it out for a very short period maybe it was only hours or maybe it was only minutes and felt and immediate effect of my head feeling fuzzy. I had already read up on my concerns about wireless radiation and didn't want a cell phone because of that but once I felt how bad the effects were I had him take the cell phone back! Some years later I was using wireless telephone not a cell phone talking out in the backyard for more than an hour. I realize that it made my head feel sick and got off the phone but continued to have my head feel fuzzy and sick for hours afterwards! Then I knew how dangerous it is to use a wireless telephone especially when it was far from the base! Now if I use my cell phone up to my ear my ear canal will start aching right away! And in the past when I have rarely continue to use it I have felt pain in my shoulder on the side that I used the cell phone and it hurt all the way down to my hand! I searched and found a cell phone with the lowest SAR rating! I always keep the phone away from my head! Nevertheless if I've used the phone and used my finger to touch it for very long my finger will start hurting and if I continue the pain goes up my arm! Also if I am sitting near my computer and using it for very long my head starts feeling fuzzy and sick! It is irresponsible for the commission to have not studied this previously and it is absolutely necessary to bring out the truth of the harm to the public! I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

Reports extensive household symptoms after a tower installation, perceived high readings and improvement …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. After the installation of a 5G cell tower in November 2021, constant high levels of microwave radiation began hitting my sleeping area through my bedroom window. As a result, my husband and I became very injured and sickly, experiencing the following non-exhaustive list of symptoms over an 18-month period: Sleep disturbances • Insomnia • Chronic fatigue • Never feeling refreshed Mood disturbances • Depression • Sadness • Irritability • Rage Vision problems • Blurry vision • Dry eyes • Floaters • Vision loss • Eye twitching • Sensitivity to light Neurological problems • Memory loss • Brain fog • Dizziness • Feeling disoriented • Saying the wrong words • Dropping things Heart problems • Palpitations • Chest pain • High blood pressure Hearing issues • Ringing in the ears • Hearing loss Physical pain • Sharp pain in ears • Joint and muscle pain • Leg cramping • Headaches • Burning and stabbing pain Hormonal issues • Hair loss • Thyroid enlargement • Thyroid nodule • Reproductive issues Metabolic issues • Weight gain • Inability to lose weight • Excessive weight loss Irregular temperature regulation • Getting overheated • Excessive sweating • Facial flushing Other • Teeth grinding • Hand tremors • Urinary issues • Aggressive nosebleeds • Trouble breathing • Coughing • Coughing up blood • Nausea • Dry heaving Based on MyChart data dating back to 2007, I went from an average of 2.5 doctor's visits per year to 22 doctor's visits within 18 months. The above list of ailments was generated from our doctors’ records during this time. During the 18 months of pain and sickness, we thought the air quality or pollution were responsible for how terrible we felt. Then, on a whim, I ordered an RF/Microwave radiation scanner, which led us to the source of our affliction. A thorough scan revealed radiation levels so high that the scanner could not register them (the meter’s maximum reading was 20,000 microwatts per meter squared). The readings came from a cell tower about 1.5 blocks away, which emitted a direct beam of radiation into our bedroom window, exposing us nightly to continuous microwave radiation. Upon discovering this, we blocked the radiation from coming into our window, which brought the signal down to almost nothing, almost eliminating the levels where we slept. That night, I experienced my first night of solid 8 straight hours of sleep in over a year. That was the first night that neither of us woke up repeatedly to use the restroom. Following this was the first morning in over a year that my husband was able to get out of bed without excruciating joint pain. That was the first night that our bodies began to heal. Since removing ourselves from this harmful environment 2 years ago, nearly all our symptoms have disappeared. I have returned to my previous rate of 2.5 doctor’s visits per year. All that remains for me is a shrinking thyroid nodule and a sensitivity to RF/microwave radiation exposure that yields unpleasant to unbearable physical reactions. The entire experience, including its aftermath, has been extremely difficult, scary, and sad for my family. It took two years to recover emotionally and find the strength to share my story. Although I hate telling people about this, I do so out of love, because I don’t want anyone to go through what happened to us. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public and as one who is negatively affected by man-made electromagnetic radiation. I personally suffer from tinnitus and severe vertigo. When I was living in a city with smart meters, cell towers, neighbors wi-fi, etc. my symptoms were becoming more severe as time went by. About 2 years, ago we moved to an acreage where the emf levels are low the great majority of the time and since we have moved here I have not had any more vertigo attacks. In my opinion, man-made electromagnetic radiation is the latest, greatest environmental pollutant and it has become ubiquitous in our present world. Many people as well as all life in the environment is negatively affected, as we have evolved to function in the natural electromagnetic environment. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation.
