The commenter reports sensitivity after MRI-center work, costly shielding and isolation, and urges FCC co…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I was sensitized to electromagnetic radiation after having an occupational exposure at an MRI center in 2002-2003. Since then I have contacted innumerable government representatives and agencies regarding this issue, the FCC's constant failure to protect us and their increasingly aggressive pursuit of higher and higher levels of RF radiation while in violation of a 2021 federal appellate court ruling to consider approx.11,000 pages of scientific research demonstrating biological NONTHERMAL effects of RF at very low levels, update its pathetic 30-year old THERMAL ONLY "safety guideline" for an adult male exposed to a single emission source for a short time - not the 24/7 bombardment from all directions (including space) that we are currently being exposed to and to perform required NEPA studies (never done) for small cells. I have NO protection under the ADA even though my neurologist of over 30 years has specified in writing that I have become sensitized to RF/EMR, there are medical ICD-10 codes for health effects of EMR, and the Social Security Administration at least recognizes EMR syndrome as an occupational disability (i.e., electrical engineer/technician, etc.). I have spent untold thousands of dollars trying to mitigate EMR in my home (which is now the only relative safe place I can occupy) and consulting medical practitioners about my conditions and options. I no longer have any faith in ANY US government agency. The US has among the worst RF standards in the world. The EPA was going to study the issue and establish a BIOLOGICAL (not thermal-only) standard for RF radiation but was defunded before being able to complete the appropriate research. The fix was in! The FCC became the designated responsible agency. The FCC is now almost if not completely a "subsidiary" of the telecom industry (in the revolving-door placement of industry-to-government personnel) and does NOT represent the best interests of the American people in terms of their health or the health of the environment. The FCC would have my neighbors being paid to put a 5G antenna on their roof with UTTER DISREGARD for the consequences to my health and well being or that of children, the elderly, immune compromised, pregnant, already sick and/or disabled and the environment. The FCC MUST comply with the appellate court order (the court has given them 30 days now after being brought back to court for their previous utter failure lasting since 2021) and perform UNCONFLICTED environmental impact studies outlined in the original court decision. I think we already know why they have stalled and disobeyed the court - they know the studies prove there are harmful health effects of RF radiation at levels so much lower than current exposure levels and the previous single-source thermal emission standard set for an adult male only - and that there are harmful environmental effects (seen all over the world now) - otherwise, why not review (with independent, unconflicted scientists) the scientific studies submitted and perform the required NEPA studies and put the matter to rest? They can't because the studies/reviews will prove the opposite (if performed by unconflicted scientists). The burden of proof should not be put on the sick and already injured! The FCC is derelict in its duty to protect the American people and continues to flagrantly ignore its obligations and responsibilities. However, the FCC should NEVER have been given SOLE authority over this matter - I BLAME CONGRESS FOR THAT as well as the EPA and the FDA for ignoring the NTP 10-year, $25 million study demonstrating CLEAR EVIDENCE OF HEART CANCER-the highest standard, evidence of gliomas (brain cancer), adrenal and other tumors, etc. from NONTHERMAL RF radiation (performed underground to rule out ambient radiation and under strict thermal controls). I am exhausted from this fight and the exponentially (seemingly without limits) increasing exposure to RF radiation. It was determined that I become a total insomniac due to RF exposure from an AT&T modem (in the home office next to my bedroom years ago) in which the wireless antenna (which was set to "off" by AT&T) accidentally reset to "WiFi enable" unbeknownst to me, apparently due to a power surge. My bedroom is now a room with metal roof, metal shutters, mostly silver fabric curtains and a silver fabric canopy so I can sleep, all of which cost me a small fortune (not tax deductible by the way). I exist only on faith in a higher power, as I have lost all faith in the corrupt system in which I find myself including "foxes in all of the hen houses" of the US government. What a pathetic, sorry state of affairs it is. Children are now being exposed to unprecedented levels of RF radiation from before birth! Will anyone protect them?

I am hoping that by submitting this comment I can encourage scientific investigation of wireless radiation. In November, 2001 I had a thin 4 inch wide tumor removed from just under my skull where my cell phone antenna had the closest contact to my head. It was removed by Dr. Snyder at Torrance Memorial Hospital. Thankfully it was benign but its presence caused me to have strange displays of light in my peripheral vision. I forget the name of the doctor who read the lab reports; but I was able to ask him if he used a cell phone, and he said, "No".

Is the high intensity Radiofrequency Radiation emitted from the huge cell towers near the Vineyards Community Park and nearby Elementary School dangerous to people using the facilities? https://youtu.be/qKa7QP3UBLY The attached videos and pictures speak for themselves about the radiation. Note the posted warnings to workers on the cell towers about radiation exposure. "CAN PEOPLE BE EXPOSED TO LEVELS OF RADIOFREQUENCY RADIATION THAT COULD BE HARMFUL? There may be situations, particularly in workplace environments near high-powered RF sources, where the recommended limits for safe exposure of human beings to RF energy could be exceeded. In such cases, restrictive measures or mitigation actions may be necessary to ensure the safe use of RF energy." Residents oppose giant cell phone tower in Tampa neighborhood https://youtu.be/--NuHaazrWQ?feature=shared Miami-Dade residents protest sudden 5G tower installations https://youtu.be/qDl1PgCn9AY?feature=shared Permit for 195-foot 5G tower in Westchase https://youtu.be/eiqB3slLehQ?feature=shared There are many questions and few clear answers. What happens when the radiation is mixed with chemicals (pesticides) and human flesh? Isn't it better to avoid exposure than take a chance with cancer and other medical conditions? I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent, family and concerned member of the public. My children are exposed to wireless radiation all day while at school. They tell me how it gives them headaches and makes them tired. They come home to detox from it as we have no wireless internet and mobile phones are turned off at night. There are so many toxins that we are all exposed to and our buckets get full very quickly now. Wireless radiation is one of these toxins and because we can't see it people are not aware. The increases in cancer, mental disorders, ADHD, autism and more are from bombardment from all these toxins. And we are bombarded by wireless radiation all the time. There is no education on the effects of wireless radiation. People sleep with their phones on next to their bed and wifi systems on. There needs to be widespread education on how to properly use mobile phones and reduce wireless exposure. There should be laws against building homes and offices next to phone towers and phone towers being erected near schools. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. I live in a condominium complex and my building has five attached units. Five out of the five units have residents who have been diagnosed with cancer, four with bladder cancer and one with lymphoma. We have had the water tested by the State DEP and the water shows no reasons for concern. There are, seven cell towers within three miles of our building, two of which are within less than one-half mile. To the Department of Health and Human Services: I am submitting this comment in response to the RFI on EMF/RF radiation and wireless exposure (FR Doc. 2026-19252). My perspective is that of an individual and a healthcare industry professional with a background in medical device and healthcare sales. I support HHS's decision to systematically re-evaluate the state of the science on RF/EMF exposure, including at levels below current federal limits, and I urge the Department to weigh the following evidence as it identifies research priorities: • In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organization, classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as a Group 2B "possible human carcinogen" — the same category as lead and DDT — based on limited evidence from human and animal studies. • The National Toxicology Program's $30 million, decade-long study (final results published November 2018) found "clear evidence" that male rats exposed to high levels of RF radiation like that used in 2G/3G cell phones developed malignant heart schwannomas, with some evidence of tumors in the brain and adrenal gland as well. NTP's own scientists cautioned that whole-body, high-level rodent exposure doesn't map directly onto typical human cell phone use, but called the tumor link "real." • A separate, independent study by the Ramazzini Institute in Italy — the largest of its kind, involving 2,448 rats exposed over their full lifespans — found the same type of heart schwannoma in male rats exposed to RF levels representative of environmental cell-tower emissions, not just handset-level exposure. The researchers noted this reinforced the NTP findings using a different, lower-intensity exposure model. • Current FCC exposure limits, which the RFI itself notes, were largely set based on short-term thermal (heating) effects and have not been comprehensively updated to account for this newer body of long-term, non-thermal evidence. I recognize that federal agencies including FDA and WHO currently maintain that existing evidence does not establish RF exposure at regulated levels causes harm in humans, and that some researchers dispute the rodent-to-human relevance of the NTP and Ramazzini findings. That disagreement is exactly why this RFI matters: the existing evidence base is genuinely contested, not settled, and deserves a fresh, rigorous federal review rather than reliance on decades-old thermal-only standards. I would encourage HHS to: • Prioritize research on cumulative, long-term, non-thermal exposure, particularly for children and other potentially sensitive populations; • Commission an independent re-evaluation of whether current exposure standards adequately reflect the NTP and Ramazzini findings; • Ensure findings are coordinated across FDA, NIH, and CDC and translated into practical guidance for families, schools, and healthcare providers. My family has personally experienced health disruptions after being exposed to “healthy” levels. Thank you for undertaking this review and for the opportunity to comment.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Local communities must have control over their environment and hopefully one day soon reject the technology. It is an overreach of the federal government to control and direct this invasion of American communities. My cancer diagnosis in Jan 2020 can easily be attributed to direct beams from a "repeater" in the public area behind my home office.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Wireless radiation and it's effects is something that has been on my mind since the introduction of 5G. As a parent and concerned citizen, I do not believe enough research was conducted before the US changed to 5G towers. It seems to me that since that happened, there has been more and more people affected by cancer today than in any other time in history. I would really like to see more research done in this field. This is why I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation.
