A mental-health professional attributes rising childhood anxiety and personal symptoms to devices and wir…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am a licensed mental health professional who specializes in child and youth mental health and trauma. I have been working with children and youths in multiple capacities for nearly 30 years, and I have not only watched their screen addiction increase dramatically over the past decades, I have noticed something especially troubling in the past few years: A sharp increase in restless, unspecified anxiety and panic attacks in children and youths, and at younger and younger ages, starting with toddlers. This is sometimes misdiagnosed by other therapists as "ADHD". In the past, I saw anxiety and panic attacks primarily in children ages 12 and up, but now, it is becoming common in very young children, and one of the primary presenting complaints. I believe that many of these symptoms on the anxiety, restlessness, and panic spectrum, especially in children whose needs are otherwise met (e.g., they have adequate outdoor play time) and without trauma histories, are a direct result of their exposure to EMFs from screens, devices, and cellphone towers, but especially wifi and 5G. I believe that children and youths are especially exposed to this in public schools and public universities. When I suggest, as part of my treatment protocol, that parents drastically reduce or even remove their child's access to screens (and even find alternative education environments or homeschool if necessary to do this), this greatly reduces or even resolves the anxiety and panic symptoms in young children, pre-teens, and teens. It is harder for young adults to escape EMFs when devices are necessary for social functioning and the exposure is high at college or work. Of course, sometimes, the parents are so addicted to their own devices that they struggle to "unplug" the family, including the kids, from exposure to EMFs and symptoms persist. Likewise, I know anecdotally how EMFs affect me and my family members, causing sudden, intense pressure "headaches" or a sensation of there being a pressured force around the head, as well as general restlessness or even akathisia and inability to concentrate, when the wifi is on or nearby. I have read interesting research by the Weston A. Price Foundation that suggests that most of the modern viral epidemics and seasonal illnesses that we suffer are correlated to the installation of EMF-emitting towers and infrastructure. It is possible to use and emit frequencies for communications that heal human health rather than harm it--Take a look at Nikola Tesla's devices, inventions, and blueprints that were confiscated by the government. Please go beyond only researching this issue and make the infrastructure and frequency changes NOW. It will be easier to do this in 2026 before 5G and more intense harmful frequencies are so entrenched into our society's functioning that it will seem impossible to disrupt it. ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am exposed to 5G, WiFi, LAN, my neighbors in a rural area. I have a spinal pain stimulator and a DEXCOM7 medical device, internet printer, smart phones, tire pressure monitors, internet devices. Additional LEDs (which is been returned to tungsten and candle light, as the digitalization interfere Also) When I had lower dose exposure of 2.4 and 4G I had much less symptoms. Before, but extremely worse since 5G - has caused massive ringing in my ears. I have relocated myself into the country and woods, the symptoms go away while out in remote locations. These sounds are disorienting, aggravating, and get greatly worse within the city. Further, these things are dangerous. We have tore down the infrastructure of analog phones, robo calls, had become so annoying, most people took their phone out of their home. you cannot make a payphone call, because of contact lists, most people don't know basic phone numbers for help. Underground phone wires in sealed lines, allowed phone access to emergancy help-in hurricanes, tornados, minor floods, lighting, etc. In emergancy, specific locations in house and areas... with smart phones, people do not want to led help. There are no address books so you cannot find people. Less and less can you find places of business like hospitals, hardware stores, mechanics. Algorhythems of advertisers force out smaller businesses where are phone books allowed page size, font and bolding, but all paying for phone was listed. Not being able to contact businesses is just as unhealthy, externally as the radio frquenceies are internally. Addition RF signals and GPS, route you on interstates and bypass smaller business and routes

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Dear HSSD, I have been suffering from any WiFi related or smart objects for many yea rs ever since the WiFi technology started to come into homes. I first noticed pricly, itchy skin on my arms. (This is known symptoms of radio frequency radiation) When I switch my WiFi router off it stopped. I also started notice headache after talking on my mobile phone. It has been problematic for me for the last 15 years or so. There's no escape for me in this world. Bluetooth technology in particular affects me badly and I always ask my colleagues to switch it off on their mobiles. I do worry about the risk of brain tumour. I deeply deeply wish to live in the world where I can live safely without all these technologies.

Reports cognitive impairment and marked sensitivity to wireless sources, compares symptoms with different…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Individual consumer / patient (age 59, Ashland City, Tennessee area) who has experienced symptoms associated with RF/EMF exposure from mobile phones, Wi-Fi, smart meters, and 5G. I am 59 years old. My cognitive decline began when I was 55. Prior to that I was sharp, owned and ran a complex and successful business on Maui, and had no difficulty learning or retaining information. Since onset I have experienced extreme brain fog, a severely compromised ability to perform basic problem-solving, and an extremely limited short-term memory that has made me virtually unemployable—I can no longer learn and retain new things. I have had an MRI and cognitive performance testing; the results indicated early-onset Alzheimer’s. These symptoms have improved dramatically in the last two years only after intensive healing protocols. This was not the case prior to roughly 2021. I have always been highly sensitive to EMF frequencies and Wi-Fi, and I am especially sensitive to 5G. Enabling 5G on my phones quickly makes me feel sick, and I can notice when I am near a 5G tower. For this reason I always disable 5G. I used an iPhone 7 for many years and upgraded to an iPhone SE (3rd generation) in 2024. With both of these phones I could feel the radiation. The longer I held either device, the more severe the sensation became. Both caused strong aching in my hand and arm; after prolonged use this often progressed to tingling and/or numbness. The symptoms were noticeable during ordinary use and worsened with longer holding times. In 2026 I upgraded to an iPhone Air. I have noticed a significant improvement: much less of the radiation sensation and substantially reduced hand and arm pain when holding the phone. I still notice some effect, but it is markedly milder than with the older models. I never hold any phone to my ear and always use speakerphone. Published SAR values (U.S. FCC, averaged over 1 gram of tissue, cellular transmission) for these models are approximately: iPhone 7: Head ~1.11–1.19 W/kg, Body ~1.14–1.19 W/kg (varies by specific model) iPhone SE (3rd generation): Head 1.20 W/kg, Body 1.20 W/kg iPhone Air: Head 1.19 W/kg, Body 1.19 W/kg (cellular-only) Despite the similar official peak SAR numbers, my real-world experience of reduced sensation and pain with the Air has been consistent. This suggests that other design factors (antenna placement, power management, or everyday transmission behavior) may matter for sensitive individuals. My wife and I both use our phones many hours a day; her job requires extensive phone use. To reduce overnight exposure I keep my phone at least two to three feet from my body while sleeping and sometimes place it in Airplane mode. We live in an apartment building. Our Wi-Fi router is located in the closet in my wife’s bedroom because that is the only place the cable enters the unit. She rarely can sleep past about 2 a.m. She then remains awake—though exhausted—from roughly 2 a.m. until 5 or 6 a.m., after which she falls back asleep until her alarm only out of pure exhaustion. The amount of make-up sleep is woefully insufficient. This chronic sleep disruption has been extremely hard on her overall health and has resulted in permanent bags under her eyes. I am concerned that prolonged close proximity to the router may be contributing. I am also very affected by smart meters. A bank of approximately a dozen smart meters (one for each apartment) is mounted on the exterior wall immediately outside my bedroom. The only mitigating factor is a walk-in closet between my bedroom and that exterior wall; the added distance makes the exposure more tolerable, but it remains noticeable. Combined with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, and other sources, these create a continuous “soup” of RF/EMF exposure that warrants further study. I lived on Maui, Hawaii, through early 2020. Maui was one of the last counties in the U.S. to receive a commercial 5G upgrade, and 5G was not present there during the time I lived on the island. After relocating, my cognitive problems began around 2021–2022. Given my extreme sensitivity to EMF/RF, the timing of these symptoms relative to increased exposure after the move is concerning to me, even though I cannot prove a direct causal link. I am grateful that Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and HHS have opened this Request for Information to examine potential health effects of EMF and RF frequencies, including real-world experiences of sensitive individuals and cumulative exposures. Further research into device design differences, smart meters, residential Wi-Fi, and vulnerable populations is needed.

Describes improved sleep in an autistic adult after household wireless reduction, extensive electrical mi…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am the parent of an autistic adult who is fully dependent on my support. She was experiencing significant insomnia. Her heath care provider recommended she hard wire the house, turn off WIFI on the router, and eliminate WIFI and exposure to the cell phone in the bed room. This resulted in much improved sleep, including beginning to dream again. She was exposed beginning in ~2004, and had regular exposure to the cell phone as she did everything on it. The WIFI router was above her sleeping area. She experienced noticeable changes in her sleep which was much improved. It was recommended the house be remediated for EMF, so a building biologist was hired who identified ways to reduce the EMF load in the House. Smart meter was removed, dirty electricity remediation involved switching out fixtures, dimmers on lights were removed throughout the house, installing a sleep switch to turn on electricity in the sleeping areas, stopping electricity coming into the house on the water main, and other interventions. LED lights are NOT in allowed the house to avoid blue light. My doctor considers me EMF sensitive and will write letters to prevent me from unnecessary exposure to EMF. We do not let EMF emitting devices in the house and test the environment regularly with the Safe and Sound meter as new people come into house and new devices or appliances enter house. We relied on the building biologists many studies of harm from EMF exposure AND insomnia was a symptom that regularly was identified as a problem. The bedroom area and the house in general are not in the low EMF on the Safe and Sound meter. Studies can be found at: Regarding scientific support for negative health effects effects of EMF…. and included below in the attached document links to a website and a book. I also included them here, plus attached the color charts: i. The full Bioinitiative 2012 report can be found at: https://bioinitiative.org/table-of-contents/ ii. The attached are color charts below that list studies that looked at the biological effects of low exposure to EMF & is available at https://bioinitiative.org/rf-color-charts/ iii. Argues that non-ionizing Wi-Fi exposure is harmless and calls for consultation with scientists.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
If you've taken middle school science, you would know that the radiofrequency EMF given off by Wi-Fi is a type of non-ionizing radiation and is not harmful to humans. Instead of asking the public, ask the actual scientists who have already studied this stuff extensively, determined there are no actual health risks, and stop peddling conspiracy theories.

Been in RADIOLOGY my whole life and have had radiation and DANGERS of ponded into my head since 1978! ALL RADIATION is DANGEROUS with short and long term exposure....These radiations are just as bad and DANGERIOUS ....I do not even own a cell phone because of this fact!....Children should not be exposed to these frequencies at all! The GOV NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THESE RADIATIONS AND RE-ADJUST EXPOSURE LIMITS AND TIMES/AMOUNTS FOR ALL HUMANS HERE IN AMERICA....THE FREQUENCIES NOW ARE MUCH LONGER IN DURATION AND TOTAL TIME EXPOSEURES ARE THRU THE ROOL...RUNNING WILD WITH NO REINING IN....NORMAL PEEPS ARE TOO IGNORANT TO KNOW....THESE FREQUENCIES/EXPOSURES ARE NO LONGER THE SAME FROM BACK IN THE 40- 50'S AND NEED REVAMPED ...PEOPLE HAVE THIER WIFI/PHONES ON ALL OF THE TIME...NEAR SENSATIVE TISSUES....AND CARE NOT....BECAUSE THERE ARE NO WARNINGS AND IF TEHRE ARE THE WARNINGS ARE VERY VAGUE AND IN TINY PRINT THAT NO ONE READS...DEFINETLY NEED REVAMPING OF THE RADIATION EXPOSURE/TIMES/STRENGTHS DONE! AGAIN RADIATION POUNDED...INTO ONE'S HEAD AND JUST WITH SHORT BURTS OF RADIATION WE WERE ALWAYS RADIATING WITH THE SLIGHEST TIME POSSIBLE/ACHIEVABLE....WITH ALL PATIENTS....TODAY..PEOPLE WALKING AROUND UNDER CONSTANT EXPOSURE...EVERY DAY! EVEN WITH NOT HAVING A CELL PHONE AND THAT IS BESIDE THE EXPOSURE TO SUN! EXPOSURES ARE CONSTANT AND THAT IS NOT GOOD!

Reports fatigue and reduced work capacity around wireless sources, describes mitigation and uncertain exp…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Statement Regarding Wireless Radiation and Electromagnetic Fields I have lived in a small mountain community for many years, valuing its natural beauty and peaceful environment. Initially, I slept through the night and could work late hours in my office without unusual fatigue or headaches. My difficulties working in my office began after Wi-Fi was installed. After two to three hours, I would become tired, and by the end of the day I was often beyond exhausted, going home simply to sleep. Gradually, I reduced my time in the office to preserve my energy. Today, I can tolerate only about one hour there before needing to leave. This has significantly reduced my working hours and income and diminished my quality of life. Over the years, wireless infrastructure in my community has expanded considerably. Smart meters, Wi-Fi networks, cell towers and antennas, and surveillance cameras have become increasingly prevalent. I also experience sensations that I perceive as related to frequencies or electromagnetic activity, although I cannot objectively measure these sensations or establish their source. I have resorted to wearing specialized shielding hats and installing shielding curtains around windows, glass doors, and my bed in an effort to make my surroundings more tolerable. Looking back, I recall periods when the electromagnetic activity I perceived seemed to lessen, followed by periods when I became increasingly concerned about changes in my surroundings. I later read about maintenance and upgrades to HAARP that I understood might have increased its power. I cannot independently verify the timing or establish a connection between these developments and my experiences. I have friends who report being more affected than I am. Others appear less aware of specific sensations, yet I have noticed changes in their energy and well-being. I cannot establish the causes of these experiences, but I believe they deserve respectful consideration and independent investigation. I am concerned that people may experience changes in sleep, energy, concentration, or their ability to function without knowing what may be contributing to them. I believe such reports deserve scientific attention rather than being dismissed simply because they are difficult to measure. I respectfully ask federal regulators to support independent research into reported sensitivity to radiofrequency emissions and electromagnetic fields; transparent monitoring of wireless infrastructure and compliance with applicable exposure standards; and public access to reliable information about wireless installations and their emissions. Research should examine reported symptoms objectively, distinguish correlation from causation, and investigate whether some individuals may experience effects that are not yet fully understood. My purpose is to document my experiences and ask that the concerns of people reporting difficulties they associate with wireless technology be taken seriously. Careful investigation, transparent information, and open-minded scientific inquiry are essential as wireless infrastructure continues to expand.

The impact of Radiation and Wireless Radiation Exposure and (EMF's) that it has on me and my family is enormous. I am sensitive to all of this technology, the WIFI, High Definition and being around 5G cell towers does not help. Eliminate the development of these EMFs because it is harmful and dangerous to children, Seniors and animals. Please put people over profit.

An internal-medicine physician describes sleep and fatigue symptoms attributed to wireless exposure, reli…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am a practicing Internal Medicine physician with roughly 10 years' experience treating adult patients using "Integrative" strategies, ie, specific biologically precise strategies which fundamentally address the root causes of chronic illness. I also personally suffer from chronic illness, thus providing the opportunity to experience the results of many, if not all, of the strategies I employ. Roughly 10 years ago, I became aware of the possibility that I was personally being affected by wireless (ie, RF/EMF) radiation exposure in my own household. Specifically, it was suggested to me by my health coach that my difficulty sleeping (for the previous 5-6 years) might be due to RF/EMF exposure, at that time cell phones not powered off at night plus WiFi router exposure, both at my office as well as at night in my home. I somewhat skeptically agreed to a trial of powering off cell phones and WiFi router at night, and my sleep immediately improved dramatically enough for me to conclude clinically that the improvement was very likely due to this removal of RF/EMF exposure. We eventually permanently eliminated the WiFi router and hard-wired our house with internet cabling, along with powering off our cell phones at night. I also keep my personal cell phone on airplane mode continuously during the day, establishing connectivity only to receive and read texts. I don’t use my cell phone for calls at all. This has resulted in our home becoming a relatively “safe haven” for me from an RF/EMF perspective. In fact, I use only a landline in my home office to make calls, doing most of my clinical work from home, and go to my medical office only to see patients, maybe an hour or two a day. My medical office, even though also hard-wired to minimize RF/EMF, has EMF levels (ie, density) from 700 to 1500 microwatts per meter squared, presumably from wireless devices in adjoining tenants’ offices and perhaps from nearby cell towers and I typically experience difficulty sleeping if I’ve spent three or more hours in my office. I have done extensive RF/EMF measurements throughout various parts of my city, most of which have EMF density levels of at least 500, and often up to 2500 microwatts per meter squared. When I have prolonged exposure to an environment with these higher densities, such as my place of worship which reads 2000 to 3000 microwatts per meter squared, I always experience increased difficulty sleeping, along with increased daytime fatigue for the next two days. Perhaps an experience I had very early in the process of discovering my own reactions to wireless radiation will be helpful. I was attending a neighborhood meeting located on the top floor of a tall apartment building, roughly 20 stories tall. As participants got seated, the middle-aged woman next to me said that she was sensitive to RF/EMF, and that on the roof of this building (right above us) were situated an array of wireless antennae. She then proceeded to pull out an EMF meter to show me the readings, which were very high. In fact, she told me that she would need to leave the meeting before its conclusion to avoid excessive EMF exposure, which she did after thirty or forty minutes. I had never knowingly had this level of exposure, and was feeling no particular symptoms, so I attended the remainder of the two-hour meeting. Within a day or so, I felt exhausted, and it took another 3-4 days to fully recover. Surprisingly to me at the time, I began to notice similar symptoms whenever I was again exposed to excessive RF/EMF radiation. Clinically, it was behaving in a way familiar to any practicing physician; namely, now that my system had sustained injury, the injured system was more susceptible to that same type of injury. What follows is an explanation of how this process occurs on a microscopic level, with both a link to full explanation, as well as sound byte-style quick summary: https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2023/07/09/electromagnetic-fields-harmful-effects.aspx • Exposure to microwave EMFs, like cellphones, causes massive mitochondrial dysfunction due to damage done by free radicals from peroxynitrite that also cause single and double stranded breaks in your DNA Excessive free radicals triggered by low-frequency microwave exposure from cellphones and Wi-Fi networks have been linked to chronic diseases such as cardiac arrhythmias, anxiety, depression, autism, Alzheimer’s and infertility Excessive calcium signaling produced by EMF exposures also has important roles in producing pathophysiological effects of EMFs including each of the effects listed above In summary, exposure to nearly ubiquitous RF/EMF radiation has nearly confined me to my own home, essentially imposing upon me excessive fatigue whenever I venture out to the community at large.
