I am a mother submitting this comment in response to HHS's Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am writing as a parent and consumer. Below I describe what my husband and I have experienced: the exposure, the symptoms, what we changed, and what happened. I cannot prove cause, but the pattern is consistent. We should not have to guess whether any of these are connected. It is also worth stating that I founded a company that makes EMF-shielding apparel for women, which I started because of my experiences below. My exposure: In 2020, when I started working from home during the pandemic, I suddenly spent hours a day with a wireless laptop on my lap and my phone within reach. Symptoms: Within months, I developed tingling and numbness in my face and lips, joint pain that radiated up my arms, trouble concentrating, impaired memory, severe panic attacks, and poor sleep. My general practitioner listened to my symptoms and recommended antidepressants. When the pain in my hands became unbearable, I saw a rheumatologist for testing. She didn't find arthritis but offered to prescribe painkillers, which I declined. What I changed: I took the laptop off my lap, wired my computer and TV, kept my phone off my body and out of reach, used airplane mode often, turned off Bluetooth and WiFi on devices that didn't need them, and turned off the WiFi router at night. Result: My symptoms eased to a manageable level. They return when I hold a Bluetooth device against my body and when I spend time in high-EMF environments, like airports and homes run by smart home systems. My exposure: Driving and riding in our two 2026 hybrids, an SUV and a crossover. Symptoms: Immediately, I experience severe aching and burning in my hands and feet, nausea, fatigue, intermittent shooting pains in my abdomen and chest, and a short-circuiting feeling in my brain when I try to finish a sentence. What I changed: I drive as little as possible and rent a gas-powered car for any drive longer than 20 minutes. After parking, I ground myself as soon as I can. Result: My symptoms fade slowly after I turn off the car and get out, and they ease noticeably faster when I ground. My husband’s exposure: Sleeping with wireless earbuds in. Symptom: A lump about the size of a dime under his ear. What he changed: He stopped wearing earbuds to bed. Result: The lump went away. I support HHS examining the health impact of wireless radiation, and ask that HHS treat children and pregnant women as distinct populations in its research priorities. Research priorities include long-term studies of children exposed from birth; pregnancy and reproductive outcomes; the health effects of cell towers near homes and schools, and how that evidence should guide where towers are allowed; exposure in schools and vehicles; and the effects of 5G and 6G on our health and the environment. The experiences of individuals and families who report being affected by, or who are concerned about, potential health effects from EMF, RF, and wireless radiation exposure should be considered alongside the scientific evidence, to help identify gaps in current research and to establish appropriate safety parameters for wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for including individuals and families in your request for information.

5G towers should not be by residential areas, schools, hospitals, stadiums or anywhere ppl are going to be. This technology is a weapon and it's sickening how many I see along freeways. We had fast internet BEFORE these towers went up! Why do we even need these things? Also, there's a problem with WIFI in the home and companies like COMCAST making it very strong so it becomes a network hotspot for cars driving by. This creates a dangerous level of EMF in the home and can accelerate toxic mold growth. Furthermore, people should be ENCOURAGED to not wear "wearables", to turn their phone on airplane mode as much as possible, talk with a speaker, wire their internet with ethernet, get rid of smart meters, install landlines (and make REAL landlines common and affordable again!) . At the very least, households should be encouraged to TURN OFF their internet routers at night to give their bodies a break from the constant electromagnetic pollution.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
As a mother I advocate for safer tech habits, including using speakerphone and wired headphones, keeping wireless devices away from one self and my children's bodies when practical, turning Wi-fi off when not in use and utilizing direct hard wire connection when feasible. Therefore I believe there should be more regulations and studies to limit this radio frequency exposure, mothers should not have to choose between benefits of modernized tech and the health of ones children.

Reports head discomfort after smart-meter installation, raises concern about school Wi-Fi, and advocates …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of an advocate and concerned member of the public. I am in shock at the seeming endless explosion of cell towers and WIFI being everywhere. Perhaps this is why even though I am a robustly healthy person who eats organic food, exercises, drinks only water, and practices a healthy lifestyle, my head feels bad every day. This never happened before a smart meter was put on our house. Why are WIFI routers allowed in schools where children go every day. Their skulls are thinner, and their brains are developing. We should have ethernet cables in all schools, in offices, in hospitals, and homes. Wifi comes with a lot of hazards and HHS needs to look into this. Please don't trust any research from the organizations that are creating the EMF and EMR hazards. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

Describes pain and fatigue improving after home electrical and wireless changes, reports repeated persona…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a chronically ill individual dealing with pain and fatigue. In my search for answers to alleviate my pain and exhaustion, I learned about EMFs and how they damage the long-term biological health of our cells and prevent healing according to Dr. Devra Davis, Dr. Martin Pall, and Dr. Deitrich Klinghardt. So I decided to do my own experiment to see if eliminating sources of EMFs would make me feel better. I had 2 certified building biologists come into my home and do an assessment of the current EMFs. I had high levels of magnetic fields due to nearby powerlines, moderate levels of electric fields due to in house wiring mistakes, and extreme levels of wireless radiation in the home (according to Building Biology guidelines) due to wireless devices throughout my home. The building biologist suggested the following: 1) I turn off the electricity at night to combat the electrical fields in certain rooms, 2) I hardwire everything in my home and eliminate all RF and Wireless devices, and 3) obtain a Qi Machine that is suppose to help neutralize the various EMFs and create a more balanced energy field. I did all 3 of these suggested changes, and I had really great results with my severe back pain and overall body aches and fatigue. I still suffer from these ailments, but I went from a 9 out of 10 to a 6 out of 10 by making these changes. I even did multiple experiments where I would take the 3 suggestions and turn them on one night and turn them off the next. The results were consistent and my pain/fatigue would re-surge when I exposed myself to the EMFs, or the pain/fatigue was reduced when I made the changes each night and removed the EMFs as much as I could. I have noticed since I made these changes in my home, I have developed an almost 6th sense to when someone is sending/receiving on their cell phones. I have developed a heightened sense that occurs in my brain when signals are present and close by. This further deepens my experience as these EMFs should really be studied. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of EMFs and specifically, wireless radiation. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard!

Suspects an association among low-flying aircraft, 5G and disruptions to phone and Wi-Fi service.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I’m convinced there is more than a correlation between increasing 5g use, low flying air traffic, and WiFi internet and cell call drops increasing. I spend a lot of time outside and my phone frequently will slide into airplane mode when there is lower flying air traffic.

A naturopath reports diagnosed EHS, severe disability and improvement after wireless removal, presents pe…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am Naturopath 3 a) My initial reaction started 2000 after a traumatic life event, coupled with exposure to a wireless burglar alarm and DECT cordless phones. b) In 2005, I was living in a town centre on a level with the masts on the telephone exchange roof. When I went out, I improved. Upon return, I was breathless, fatigued, needed support to stand, could not sing lullabies, had a swollen tongue, weight loss. c) I had a Near Death Experience, waking in the night with no heartbeat because I’d stopped breathing - after 8 months of living 30m from the primary boom of the nearest of six 3G masts, with 4 antennae each. I spent 2 years bed-bound, being fed, and carried to the toilet. d) The direct correlation between exposure and onset of symptoms was established retrospectively in 2010 when it was observed that symptoms got worse when I used a computer with a wireless internet booster. e) The GP was unable to diagnose EHS because the NHS do not recognise it as a medical disorder. In 2022, Dr Damien Downing, Harley Street, London confirmed the diagnosis of EHS. f) Removal of Wi-Fi and DECT gave immediate relief – I was able to walk up and down stairs again. Subsequent exposures, including unknown ones, confirmed the pattern, eliminating the nocebo effect. I could feel signals due to the severe Pain on the side of my head nearest the emitter, splitting headache, hot head, dizziness, utter fatigue, which would last for weeks/months. Reduced exposure in the home allowed slow improvement. Relapses worsened symptoms, and added new ones every time, making recovery ever more challenging. g) EXPOSURE CALCULATIONS 2.3 GHz radiates at 160 Wm2 so 3G radiates at 146 Wm2 16 antennae at 146 Wm2 = 2,336 Wm2 4 antennae at 146 Wm2 = 584 Wm2 Calculating 10% less is 526 Wm2 Exposure was 2,336 + 526 = 2,862 Wm2 ICNIRP maximum exposure for the public is 10 Wm2 for an average man 2,862 Wm2 ÷ 10 = 286.2 Occupational exposure is 50 Wm2 with a time limit of 6 minutes 1440 minutes per day, 1440 ÷ 6 = 240 I was exposed to 240 times the recommended occupational radiation exposure duration 24/7 for 8/12 before becoming seriously ill. The SAR limit 4 W/kg is based on an average man 175 cm tall, 70.46 kg I weighed 8st 5lb / 53 kg. 53 x 4 = 212W, my safe exposure limit. But, I was exposed was 3,212 Watts. 2,862 Wm2 ÷ 212 = 13.5 I was exposed to 13.5 times higher levels of radiation than I could physiologically tolerate without permanent damage (which I did) according to government, ICNIRP, & SAR limits. The safe exposure limit for an Average man: 70.46 × 4 = 281.8 = 282 My SAR limit as a percentage 212 ÷ 282 x 100 = 75% & can tolerate 25% less radiation 2,862 ÷ 7.5 = 381.6 => 382 I was exposed to EMR 382 times higher than physiologically safe levels according to government guidelines and now suffer EMR-Syndrome/Electro-hypersensitivity. 4 h-k) I observe similar symptoms in others, esp. sensitives who have had life trauma, e.g., headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia, fatigue, not able to cope. All relieved by reducing exposure. l) Applied Kinesiology tests using homeopathic samples or the device are always conclusive. m) Studies should not use “simulated” signals, but actual devices in relation to the human Biofield, to detect actual physiological responses. 5 n-p) I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation rather than leaving it to the Big Tech firms to prove safety. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health. The experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence and non-peer reviewed studies. A classification system would be most useful. The Russians have done the most research, and they have the lowest exposure limits. 1996 ICNIRP Guidelines should be updated to be safety levels for the smallest and most vulnerable in society, not a 70kg man. 6 – 8) Please see attached 9) Greece and Japan have active information campaigns to raise awareness. UK and US governments need to recognise EMR-S/EHS, and regulate EMR so tech companies have to provide non-biologically active signals. 10 – 15) Please see attached 16 - 17) The highest priority research gaps are in non-thermal effects, and genetic damage. 18) WE ARE THE EVIDENCE: “Canaries in the mine”, being excluded from society. I am worried that I will not be able to work, do banking, order groceries, contact family, or call in an emergency. The planet cannot wait another year. Please Recognise EMR-Syndrome, and Act Swiftly!
