A disabled veteran reports bodily sensations attributed to nearby GWEN towers and requests investigation.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
As a disabled veteran living in New Braunfels Texas I’ve been experiencing more electromagnetic frequencies all over my body to include under my skin. It’s seems as a small town the more Gwen towers we’re put up in this small town the electromagnetic frequencies I’ve. been it’s not a smart city but still the excessive amount of electromagnetic frequencies is enormous. Hope this is investigated soon. I live about five hundred yards from a Gwen tower and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs has been informed.

Reports lifelong electrosensitivity, loss of career and home and extensive avoidance measures; calls for …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
In response to: "Public Experiences and Reported Potential Adverse Health Effects" 10/14/26 To Secretary Kennedy and HHS Staff, Thank you for this opportunity. I am writing as an "individual consumer" who has been electro-sensitive most, if not all, of my life. When I was 6 years old, I notice that the fluorescent lights in my first grade classroom made me feel unwell, and that they made it difficult for me to concentrate. Over time, I noticed other things that bothered me, including TVs and computers. Nonetheless, up through young adulthood, I managed to avoid or endure what I needed to most for the time, and was able to live a more or less normal life. A big turning point for me came in 1998, when I was 41 years old. At that time, I began to feel ill most of the time, and became unable to function normally or even to 'fake' doing so. In the end, I had no choice but to give up my career, friends and home. I found out later that less than a year before I "crashed" (and moved to a rural area), cell towers had been installed in my old community. As wireless technology has proliferated (cell phones, cell towers, wi-fi, smart-phones, smart-meters, smart watches, etc.), my life has become more painful, challenging and restricted. I now live in near-isolation as an environmental refugee. Exposures to microwaves beyond my threshold of tolerance leave me with headaches, malaise and, worst of all, whole-body "crashing sensations". These episodes last between 2 1/2 and 3 hrs. For me, avoidance is imperative and constitutes a near-full-time job. To survive in today's high microwave environment, I had "low-E" windows installed in my home, wear metalized clothing when outdoors and avoid all contact with humans, unless they have agreed to accommodate me ahead of time, such as "no cell phones". These measures have worked well at preventing my worst symptoms, most of the time, but of course they only reduce exposures, they don't eliminate them. I am one of many who struggle with EMFs, but you will not hear from most of us. Many of use can't use computers or smart phones. I had to arrange for help getting this to you and nearly gave up on doing so. It is also a fact that a large percentage of people with severe EMF sensitivity do take their own lives. A majority of my sensitive friends already have. Now that you have my perspective, I'd like to leave you with several points and some questions to ponder: * To clear up the oft-mentioned "inconsistencies" in the results from research on the health effects of EMFs, findings from research done by or paid for by profit-driven industries of individuals must be removed from the database. Until then, our data will remain skewed in favor of industry interests. * Safety standards in the United States (and many other countries) are woefully inadequate and need to align with reality. Nothing is more dangerous than a false sense of security. If anyone tells a consumer that one of their beloved "toys" is "safe", that consumer will not dig deeper to get more information or even take simple steps that could significantly reduce their exposures. * The burden of proof for the alleged "safety" of wireless technology should be on the corporations that produce it. Currently, all the corporations need to do to maintain the extremely profitable (for them) status quo is to perpetuate the perception of doubt. Easy enough, given the amount of money at their disposal! And they even have a pre-made playbook, thanks to the master deceivers of the 20th century, the tobacco industry. * What gives anyone the right to send microwaves into the public sphere? Into private homes? Into the bodies and cells of every living thing -- plant or animal -- on the face of the Earth? * And finally, what about the rights of those being affected? After all, microwaves are nearly impossible to avoid, even for those of us who choose not to use the emitting devices. Life? Liberty? The pursuit of happiness?! Thank you for your consideration.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have developed a persistent cough since I work in Phoenix, Maryland in the last 4 years. At times I have unexplained headaches and am a healthy person. I have had to be on various medicine without explanation what’s going on with my lungs and do think it’s related to the numerous towers with the 5G and 6G surrounding our office in the Manor Shopping Center there is 6 total. The shopping center is owned by a lawyer named Tritt Farley, I will be vacating my space intent in end of November unfortunately to not work near them. Manor Shopping Center 3421 Sweet Air Road Phoenix, Maryland 21131 Please research and it’s a wonderful area to test unfortunately next door immediately is Jacksonville elementary school. Hope it’s not affecting the kids Gratefully, Deborah Campbell

Reports severe RF-associated pain and suspected underlying neurological vulnerabilities, describes barrie…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am a 57-year-old European citizen (Norway) documenting how current thermal safety guidelines (ICNIRP) fail to protect individuals with compromised or hypersensitive central nervous systems due to underlying physical vulnerabilities. 1. Case History and Suspected Physical Causes Since my 20s, I suffered from frequent headaches. My family has long owned a cabin in one of the heaviest tick-infested coastal regions in Telemark, Norway, and I strongly suspect that the root cause of my broken "nerve filter" is chronic, untreated Neuroborreliosis (Lyme disease). While a hospital record from 2021 documents positive Borrelia IgG antibodies, an official neurological diagnosis is pending. I also have structural nerve vulnerability originating from a childhood fall that left my nasal bone crooked, followed by three complex sinus surgeries with substantial scar tissue. This structural trauma likely affects my right ear, which suffers from chronic pain and significant hearing loss. Because of these suspected infections and physical traumas, my nerve pathways have lost their structural insulation, creating severe central sensitization. 2. Environmental Impact and Technical Mapping In autumn 2018, a smart meter was installed in my small rented home, causing my symptoms to escalate violently overnight. This drove me to search for answers; some of the first experts I listened to were Dr. Devra Davis and Jeromy Johnson in their TED Talks, and since then, I have studied many independent researchers. Today, my body registers ambient RF/EMF microwave fields as immediate, excruciating physical pain waves. To avoid pain, I must constantly navigate life to completely bypass locations with the strongest wireless signals. I cannot hold a mobile phone without immediate, shooting nerve pain. My pain fluctuates heavily based on external signals: • The 5G Impact: The rollout of 5G signals inflicts noticeably more intense pain, and it takes several days of total isolation for my nerve tissue inflammation to recover. • Objective Technical Mapping: To verify my environment, my father—a telecommunications civil engineer—provided me with a TES-92 Electrosmog Meter and helped me systematically cable my home. Using this meter, I have measured radiation levels exceeding 1 million microwatts per square meter (1 W/m²) in ordinary public spaces, including a ferry quay, a small town center, and the waiting room at the Vestfold Hospital (SiV). This is extremely high—representing more than 10% of the maximum ICNIRP safety guidelines (which are set at 10 million microwatts/m²). Exposure to levels like this inflicts immediate, unbearable pain upon my sensitized nerves. To survive, I must continuously avoid high-radiation areas, paying a heavy "pain cost" every time I enter society. 3. Official Dismissal by Health Authorities Despite submitting extensive independent research to Norwegian health bodies, I have been systematically disbelieved and forced to survive on minimal social security benefits. To prove how national governments use thermal limits to deny medical accommodation, I submit these translated quotes from an official response I received from the Norwegian Ministry of Health (HOD), dated October 12, 2026 (Ref: 20/2972-): • "...no scientific basis for introducing special requirements for 'radiation-free' examination rooms..." • "The overall professional conclusion remains that it is not documented that non-ionizing radiation below current limits causes adverse health effects." • "On this basis, there is no ground for establishing special requirements for radiation-free examination rooms..." Because of this institutional blindness, on December 8, 2025, my essential hearing aid fitting was aborted after just one minute because the audiologist activated wireless programming (NIR), striking me with neuropathic pain. Clinicians are never taught that RF-EMF can inflict physical pain on compromised nerves. Specialized hospital psychosis clinics have fully evaluated me and explicitly ruled out any mental or psychosomatic illness, proving my pain is entirely physical. 4. A Verified Biological Example The only place my nervous system finds peace is in my wired, low-EMF home. I think my radiation-free environment benefits my rescue cat, who is between 16 and 20 years old. He surprises veterinarians with his exceptionally good blood values. His health is a living testament to what a clean, low-EMF environment does for a living body, allowing it to rest and heal. Recommendations to HHS: 1. Acknowledge that a damaged, hypersensitive nervous system responds to ambient RF/EMF as an immediate physical stressor, independent of thermal heating. 2. De-couple EMF sensitivity from psychosomatics and investigate underlying organic vulnerabilities. 3. Mandate analogue, radiation-free examination spaces and wired medical device programming options. Regards, Tove Kristine Jensen, Norway

Asks HHS to collect historical military medical records and studies concerning RF and microwave effects o…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Please look at the us army 1940-1955 medical command as well as field manuals discussion of the effects of known radio frequency at 1000 mhz and lower affect on white blood cell counts. As well as other health effects. The information is available and the microwave signal strength. The FCA is a commercial congressional committee that has ignored the medical data provided by the us military after the wwii era and the us army effects on soldiers of ionizing and radio frequency transmission and microwave radiation. Included is the Cold War veterans in in 1968 Germany following the invasion of the Czech Republic. All of which was declassified in 2012. The data is in the hands of the us government. It is your agencies responsibility to collect it. And this comment is notice.

Reports longstanding headaches near wireless sources, relocation, wired-home adaptations and costly meter…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a person who has experienced and continues to experience problems with EMFs, RF Radiation, and WI-FI. I discovered these as the source of my headaches about eighteen years ago and I have had to take numerous steps in my life to avoid these things. When I lived in a city surrounded by towers, I lived with headaches every day and night. So I had to move to a place in a tiny village where I had no cell phone service in the house. When I moved here, there was only one cell tower within half a mile of my house, now there are three. I have hard cabled computer and Internet, not WI-FI, and I have hard wired phones, no walk-around phones. I also have no microwave. I do own a cell phone but I only use it when I am away from home, and then I use it with a shield covering it. I had to pay thousands of dollars to remove the smart meter from the side of my home (the utility company refused my request to replace it with an analog meter), have it mounted on a power pole away from the house and bury the lines from the meter to the house, because whenever I was in the room where the smart meter was mounted on the outside, I could not stay more than several minutes before I got a headache and had to leave the room. When driving across the country, I can point out the location of cell towers and commercial broadcast towers because of the location of the pain drilling into my head (left side, right side, front or back). When I am somewhere that has WI-FI, I get a headache (and almost everyplace has WI-FI!). When traveling, I have to request a motel room as far away from the WI-FI router as possible, and even then I have sometimes had to leave in the middle of the night because of a severe headache. I’ve even had to leave some stores because of the headache I get from their WI-FI. When these things are strong, I sometimes also get nauseous. When I get away from the sources of EMFs and RFs, I feel fine. I am not the only person I know who is affected in this way. One of my cousins has now taken to wearing a hat lined with EMF/RF-blocking material because of the severe headaches he experiences. He even has to wear this in the office where he works. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

A retired nurse reports workplace and home exposures and neurological symptoms that ceased after replacin…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am a retired RN from California. I had exposures to cell phones, wifi, and electronic devices on the job. I have exposures to cell phones, cell phone towers, wifi and power lines in my personal life. I had exposure to smart meters, which, when implemented coincided with neurological symptoms. After opting out of the smart meter installation and going back to an analog electric meter, the neurological symptoms ceased. Scarato, T. (2025). A public-health researcher describes EMF research and advisory roles, supports organizational submissions…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
As a public health scientist in the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley, I have researched the health effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF), especially radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF), since 2009. I co-founded and serve as a Commissioner on the International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF), serve as an advisor to the International EMF Scientist Appeal, and serve as a scientific advisor to Physicians for Safe Technology. I support the statements submitted to USDHHS on behalf of these organizations. My Electromagnetic Radiation Safety website addresses key scientific and policy developments concerning the health risks from exposure to electromagnetic radiation (EMR) and non-ionizing electromagnetic fields (EMF). The website has recorded six million pageviews since 2013. Since 2016, I have circulated monthly abstracts of newly published scientific papers on RF-EMF and non-ionizing fields to several hundred EMF scientists globally. The complete collection currently contains almost 3,000 abstracts with links to published papers. This public submission consists of the following sections: • Background and statement of perspective (pg. 1) • Transcripts of published opinion pieces on RF-EMF from the San Francisco Chronicle (2010), Scientific American (2019), The Washington Spectator (2020), and a Q&A for UC Berkeley News (2021). (pp. 2-7) • Specific responses to questions posed by HHS for this public submission (pp. 8-11) • A list of my peer-reviewed publications in scientific health journals on RF-EMF (pp. 12-13) • A list of my invited presentations and lectures on RF-EMF health effects (pg. 14) • A list of key scientific and policy papers. (pp. 15-22)

Reports agitation and anxiety during Wi-Fi use, describes meter readings and animal concerns, and request…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am documenting concerns regarding my CenturyLink C4000BZ modem/router, manufactured by Zyxel Communications Corporation, FCC ID I88C4000LZ. This dual-band Wi-Fi device operates at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Additionally I also show readings from a NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Model R8000 a tri-band router/extender with one 2.4 GHz band and two 5 GHz bands. NETGEAR describes it as providing combined Wi-Fi speeds of up to 3.2 Gbps I personally experience extreme agitation and anxiety when my Wi-Fi is turned on and I spend periods of time online at the computer. As a result, I keep my Wi-Fi router unplugged unless I am actively using it to access the Internet. I am concerned about potential electromagnetic exposure in my home and the environment shared with my animals, & with my students highly sensitive dogs while in class. I recorded a video of readings displayed with the GQ EMF-390 detector and am submitting this footage for consideration. I cannot establish that the equipment causes my symptoms, but my experiences warrant documenting and investigating my concerns. Maybe only a few people are sensitive, regardless these things should be safe for EVERYONE and our Animals cannot understand these technologies or choose whether to remain in environments where wireless equipment operates. First part of the video the router was not completely online and once it was the RFs went up to 977 mW/m². The other device, NETGEAR Nighthawk we checked and even though the emf's combined was 4.8, the EF was 18v/m and the RFs were up to 962mW/m². These numbers very concerning. Many believe the flower of Life symbol can protect but in the two pictures as you can see the overall EMF went down but the RFs actually jumped higher with the dime-sized metal flower of life symbol placed on the top of the router. I would love to understand this better myself. I respectfully request greater transparency, independent research, and further evaluation of potential EMF/RF/SMART-METER exposure and its implications for human and animal health. Respectfully, Miss April www.change.org/GrumpyDogSupport .30 Video https://youtube.com/shorts/5J_unvhFF1M?is=l-LAV-VCTVAp1sJf
