I help to run a registered charity for people suffering from the illness M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), in England, UK. Electromagnetic sensitivity including wifi is not uncommon as a co-morbidity with ME/CFS. Multiple Chemical Sensitivity appears to be more common as a co-morbidity with ME/CFS sufferers. I know personally of two M.E. sufferers who cannot use mobile phones and react badly to other electrical products, e.g. televisions. I myself cannot use a mobile phone unless I use shielding for my head, otherwise the pain I experience is like being hit on the head with a hammer. I know of a lady who does not have M.E., but she is extremely electrically sensitive, especially to mobile phone masts. I wake up every day with headache and feeling sick i used to live under a radar station when i was younger and suffered the same thing i moved about 5 miles away and the headache and sickness went this was in the 80s since the late 90s early 2000 my headaches and sickness has return and to me it seems like its getting worse since the release of 3 g 4g and now 5g im 100 percent effected by electro magnetic fields you are killing me and many others if i go to the country side my headaches and sickness go snd ive said this for many years to people around me and my doctor .

We went through chiropractors, all kinds of tests, but it ended up being wifi in the next room. I bought an EMF reader and now I make sure the room clear of EMF of any kinds to be safe for my kids.

I am a parent of an EMF sensitive kid and a sensitive person as well. In 2018 my non-verbal autistic son was running back and forth in our condo, slamming into walls. So much that his fingers were raw and bleeding and there was blood all over my house. I tested EMFs and they were off the charts. Every tiny condo had a smart meter and most of my neighbors also had hot spots. I tried mitigating, but it only helped slightly. Then I did a test, I took my son to a cabin in the middle of the woods for a week. No wifi, no smart appliances, nothing emitting EMFs. I had a different child by the end of the week. We moved. It got much better. I have personally become more sensitive to EMFs over the years. Recently my son had an appt in a building that had cell pods on the side of it. I typically look for things like that before we go, but I had forgotten. The building was square and 6 stories high, about that same width and length. The pods were on all 4 faces, mounted at the 6th floor. Our meeting was on the 5th. I told the lady i didn't know if i could make it for the entire meeting, but I would try. I usually get headaches pretty quickly being that close to towers. I was astonished to be able to make it through the meeting. When we got back down to our car, I looked in the rear view mirror at my son who was saying something to me, but I could not hear him. It was then that I realized that my tinnitus, which I have had mildly for years, was suddenly so loud that I could not hear my son speaking to me from the back seat. All from 1 hours under some cell pods. It took 9 months to get it back down to normal levels. It was horrible. I fear a cell tower going up near my home forcing me to move.

If my husband accidentally has 5G on his cellphone instead of LTE, I can always tell after sitting near the phone for a while. Probably an hour or so. I can tell the 5G is on because I get a distinct pain on the top of my head. It’s always in the same spot on my head and always feels the same way. I haven’t gone to a doctor. It’s simple cause and effect and I ask my husband to turn off the 5G.

All I know is that I feel horrible after awhile on WiFi devises. My sleep is horrible.

Thank you very much for giving us all the opportunity to reflect on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am a 52 years old Dutch woman who is elektrosensitive. I became sick in 2009. After years of nearly no sleep I found out that a celltower had been plased in my neigbourhood around the time that my sleepdisorder started. I noticed that my sleep was better when the wifirouter was off at night. And so I graduately became aware of the effects of my surrounding on my health. Because I wanted to know how others with this disorder survived I started collecting stories. And I hoped by publishing these stories in a book that our Dutch government would listen. The book came out in 2017 ("De draadloze kooi"). It has helped a lot of people but our government ignored it. Now I see our government consistently moving away from looking at us. We are an inconvenient truth. Being elektrosensitive doesn't mean that I am against technology. It means knowing how to live with technology without it weakening our health. But with nearly no one being aware of or acknowledging my condition it is very difficult to take part in society. What we need is more awareness about the dangers of EMFs, RF Radiation and Wireless Radiation Exposure, develop healthier products and change the rules of engagement (like with smoking) so our society becomes EHS-inclusive. More practical: The government can launch an awareness campaign, it can regulate the industry better by lowering radiation limits, give incentives to produce healthier products, recognize EHS as an environmental related disorder so people can get the right healthcare and give people with EHS the right to ask for reasonable adaptations if necessary. Hello, Thank you for investigating the effects of rf/emf. I have personal experience concerning this issue. My husband and I live in a small town in NH with rolling hills and valleys. The cell phone service in the area has not been historically great because of this. Because of the nature of my husband's work he needed better cell service, so installed a warehouse cell signal booster into our basement. This was several years ago. Upon doing that I started noticing that when I was sitting in a certain part of the house my heart would start skipping beats, fluttering irregularly. He didn't believe me but after much complaining we unplugged it and the fluttering hasn't occurred since. Skip ahead, as of approximately a year and a half ago. There is a new cell tower that has been erected in our town that is on the highest hill. We are located on the top of a ridge approximately three miles (the way the crow flies) away from it. Since the cell tower has gone active my ears are hissing, sometimes worse than others. I can quiet the hissing sound by using shungite stones placed over my ears. I believe these symptoms are a direct correlation to the rf/emf that the cell tower is putting out. I have frequently thought about having someone come and measure the amount we are getting exposed to. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent, family member, healthcare professional, and a concerned member of the public. I have lived between two cell towers for 13 years and am concerned with the lack of safety data in allowing these towers into residential area. We have noticed it is harder to sleep. My neighbor has radiation sensitivity which makes it hard for him to leave his home and Im sure there are more symptoms we could attribute to the towers if we had the actual research behind the technology. daily life. I firmly believe HHS has a responsibility to make sure the technology is safe BEFORE it goes up. Unfortunately we have been failed this far. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Check on the health of the resident's and business living near or under the 5G towers. The towers were mostly installed or upgraded in 2019- to present. Prior to 5G installation, health records should be used as a control. You also need to factor those who took the vaccine vs those who did not. You should also consider that covid may have been radiation sickness rather than a virus, or that 5G may have created weakened immune systems that allowed a virus to cause more damage than normal. You should look at the increase in reports of ringing ears, hair loss, and "long covid" type symptoms for those who live in heavy 5G areas. You should also follow these symptoms and covid symptoms against the release of 5G world-wide, specifically China.
