The commenter proposes audible coil whine as an explanation for some reports attributed to EHS, describes…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Please research harm from COIL WHINE, high sounds emitted by many electric items including some chargers, airpods, halogen light transformers, some electric bikes, and many others. I believe many people who complain if ehs actually sugger from hearing coil whine, and their central nervous system freaking out. A small percentage of adults with excellent/sensitive hearing like myself can hear this and are very troubled by it, with sleep disruption etc. It gets worse with dental restoration materials like a bridge and white composite filling material as well as eustachian tube dysfunction, which causes the sound to go through jawbone conduction to the inner ear, bypassing muffling in the earcanal, and small fibre neuropathy which means damaged nerve insulation, myelin, causing everything to come in louder and more painful. With so many electric items everywhere this is debliitating. I have suffered since 2019 and finally realise this is coil whine and I can block a lot of the sound wearing Loop Dream earplugs and earmuffs and using acoustic shielding and distance from the items..Worryingly babies and animals can hear this much better too more then most adults. Please save the children (and animals) from coil whine everywhere, including babymonitors like cuboai which people put close to baby. In many cases it is just a cheap product which can be replaced by better. Thank you souch for looking into these things.Wishing you many blessings Moniqueplaisier@outlook.com

A former cybersecurity engineer describes electrohypersensitivity, neurological and cardiac symptoms, job…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
A former cybersecurity engineer for nearly 20 years, I developed electrohypersensitivity in 2019. As a result, I had to stop working, leave the city where I lived, find a home in a rural area, and live while minimizing my exposure to microwaves and electric fields as much as possible all while incurring significant expenses to install shielding and protective equipment in my home. Since these conditions are not readily recognized in France, I receive no financial assistance and must cover everything out of my own savings: housing, food, healthcare costs, training, travel, and more... As of now, I can no longer live in cities like Paris, where exposure to microwave radiation in the street is way too high for me. The symptoms I have experienced from the very beginning and continue to experience are: - If I am exposed for more than half a day to high-frequency waves such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cell phones, etc.: dizziness, cognitive impairment, short-term memory loss, significant difficulty prioritizing and organizing tasks, disorientation, muscle pain in the neck and trapezius muscles, eye pain, tinnitus, digestive issues, and palpitations - if I’m exposed to 50Hz (home electricity) for more than a day: inflammatory symptoms (rhinitis, sneezing, mucosal irritation, sinus congestion), intense fatigue in the days that follow, requiring a great deal of recovery time. - If I am exposed to “dirty electricity” (such as “Linky” smart meters in France or powerline communication) for a few hours to a day: a sensation of burning from the inside, the onset of flu-like symptoms that progress to bronchitis and rhinitis if exposure continues for too long The most serious symptoms I experienced were extrasystoles and cardiac arrhythmias, which led me to the emergency room. I resolved these specific issues by eliminating electromagnetic interference, grounding myself as often as possible, and undergoing acupuncture. The first few years were very difficult because I was deeply affected; I didn’t understand what was triggering the symptoms. Once I figured it out, I had to spend nearly six months in a 4 square-meter space, the only place in my home where I could recover, while I gradually adapted the rest of my 28-square-meter apartment. I didn’t know which disturbance caused which symptom or how long it took to manifest, or where I could or couldn’t go… No one around me understood me. Most of the time, people think I’m crazy, or they’re annoyed at having to temporarily turn off their devices. Some say they’ll turn them off but don’t, thinking I’m making things up, and after a while, I end up feeling sick and it takes me hours to recover. People have become so addicted to their smartphones that it annoys them when the topic of the harmful effects of electromagnetic waves comes up. I’ve even been told, "Who cares? We don’t feel anything you should just go live in a cave." Or, "If you weren’t an engineer, I would never have believed you.” I’ve come to realize just how much my disability “bothers” people, so I hardly ever talk about it, and I hardly see anyone anymore. I have practically no social life left, aside from my immediate family, a few understanding friends, and other people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity. I can’t stay anywhere for too long because most homes and public places have excessive electromagnetic fields. From time to time, I make the effort to go out and do some activities or go on outings, but I have to plan for the fact that I’ll pay dearly for it the next day and won’t be able to do anything. It is very difficult to find a job where one is not exposed to this pollution, whether from infrastructure or from other employees using connected devices. Since our government’s motto is "zero dead zones" and “don’t live like the Amish,” it is becoming increasingly difficult for advocacy groups representing people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity to find housing even in rural areas that offers low exposure. I trained as an electromagnetic environment consultant to try to turn my condition into something useful and raise awareness, but this topic is regularly discredited by many media outlets and a majority of misinformed people in the healthcare field who classify it as a psychiatric disorder. We’re labeled "conspiracy theorists". Most of my clients are people who are already ill and often in precarious situations, so I’m not yet able to generate enough income to cover all my expenses, and I’m still living partly off my savings. Most devices are becoming increasingly complicated to use in wired mode; you constantly have to go through a lot of steps, buy accessories, and so on. Even cars automatically turn on Bluetooth when you start them, when it’s even possible to turn it off. There are many things that seem trivial but are a nightmare in daily life they’re time-consuming and force you to always be vigilant and on your guard.

An Australian commenter describes twenty years of electromagnetic hypersensitivity, loss of home and asse…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am living in Australia and have not had a normal life for 20 years since experiencing electromagnetic hypersensitivity. I have lost my home and assets due to EMH and being unable to work in a normal setting. I live in surroundings that I cannot change to enable me a normal peaceful existence, which are taken for granted by others.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
We the People have claimed for decades that we are being harmed by the deployment of radio and satellite communications systems that lack safety regulations, and we’ve been ignored - in favor of profits and shareholders. There has been no safety standards review since 1996.
Meanwhile, We the People have endured a relentless 30 year escalation of tech - now well beyond gigahertz, and into the millimeter wave and terahertz levels. i am a longterm EHS (electro-hyper-sensitive) and HSP (highly sensitive person), and i have actively watched the proliferation of cell towers, satellites, and new technology deployments ever since 2010 - when i first noticed that being on the computer quickly zapped all my energy and gave me headaches, stomach aches, joint pains, palpitations, severe leg cramps, and increasing irritability. The headaches, palpitations, and body pains became constant for me as the grid grew.
i am not alone in this.
Between 2010-2017, i discovered key places on the highway where i would repeatedly have to fight to stay awake. Then, there was the constant stress of being electrocuted - like live wires were running painful current through my body all the time. At times it was as if i was struck by lightning and unable to function normally for weeks at a time. The worst headaches imaginable became constant for me, and my brain has even been shocked to a stupor for months at a time.
Then everything hurts, and i can’t move. My worst episodes seemed for years to correlate to large satellite deployments into space - my body acutely suffers when electromagnetic forces are amplified and accelerated, and i feel immense suffocating weight pressing into me, compressing my organs and taking my breath away.
i’ve also suffered 6 eardrum ruptures since 2017.
i’ve moved numerous times to try to escape, but to no avail. Last year, in January 2025, when new cell towers popped up across the street from my home, i went down hard and fast. Severe racing heart; freezing cold and curled in a ball - unable to regulate temperature, muscle activity, breath, heart rate, even a single thought - and unable to speak coherently for several weeks. In my experience as a brain therapist, my symptoms and the recovery was a lot like post-stroke, and it took me 8 months last year to function at base level again. Now, the episodes are relentless: every time they add repeaters and densifiers and other assorted infrastructure to the towers and poles, i go down hard all over again.
i’ve lost much of this year to emf poisoning too. That’s 2 years of lost work, all directly connected to the towers and their expansion.
i have now joined more than hundred million wi-fi refugees in being forced to leave my home and move to a rural place, where i won’t have to live under this deadly infrastructure any more. i have also done more research and written more articles on the dangers of these unregulated technologies than any holistic healer should have to - because people have to know - that what we can’t see, but can measure, is hurting us. The physical, emotional, and psychological costs are extreme - and reversible only up to a certain point, at which time neurodegenerative damage turns to decay and for many, even death.

This unseen epidemic of electromagnetic poisoning must stop. It is long past time to pause, review the standards, and find ways to communicate that don’t cost people, animals, plants, and insects their lives. Attached are research and writings to substantiate my claims. By: Yolanda Marie Vazquez, All Rights Reserved, Auburn California 10/2026 Attached files:

The commenter reports concentration difficulties and weakness associated with phone use, including calls …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Being on a cell pjone bothers me. Talking on one creates a jarring, unpleasant sensation that makes it difficult to concentrate. This lasts for hours after a call. A cell phone on the console net to me in a car makes my right leg very weak. To a lesser extent, the same thing happens to me when I'm on a landline talking to someone on a cell phone. I can tolerate this for about 30 minutes. Some cell phones are worse than others. One cell phone I connect to is so bad I cannot tolerate even a few seconds or connection. I cannot even listen to voice messages from that cell phone. I strongly urge the FCC to update their standards on safe levels of wireless radiation. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate the experience of individuals with electrical hypersensitivity, the effects of wireless radiation on other vulnerable populations and on the environment. Then, establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing me with an opportunity to be heard. Karen Perrin

I am extremely sensitive to EMF. My WiFi router is in my closet and I cannot sleep at night if I enter my closet for even 20 seconds 5 hours before bed. When I am in an airport I cannot sleep that night as I have been around so much EMF in the airport/plane. I looked at purchasing a home that had a 5G tower a block away, however when I walked around the neighborhood my husband and I were extremely dizzy after 20 minutes because of the 5G tower. Please do not place 5G towers or any cell tower in or near neighborhoods or schools. Thank you, Emily

An acupuncture practitioner describes patients’ sensitivity and improvement with reduced exposure, object…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure, especially through electric companies' smart meters. I am responding from the perspective of a healthcare professional and a concerned member of the public. In my acupuncture practice I saw several people who were sensitive to EMFs and wireless radiation. It is easy for people to write them off as a little crazy, or at least oversensitive, but I saw people have dramatic effects with increased exposures, and then saw their symptoms subside when they were able to reduce EMFs and wireless radiation in their environment. I personally am lucky enough not to have severe symptoms, but it is difficult to have so little control over my environment, especially when my electric company puts a wireless meter on the entry of my home without my consent. As someone with a history of dementia in my family, I do everything I can to control my exposures to anything which may be a neurotoxin. I feel we need to take this issue very seriously. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

A health consultant reports increasing sensitivity, headaches, tinnitus, cardiac symptoms, and emergency …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Thank you for this opportunity to share how horrendous this technology has been for my well-being and health – and everyone else I have talked to that suffer from this. (I am a health consultant) Gradually over the years, and ESPECIALLY after the lockdowns in 2020, I have become more and more sensitive to this unrelenting energy coming through our bodies. Specifics: Tinnitus, constant headaches, CONSTANTLY feeling shaky and as though I am plugged into an electric socket – unless I go out and ground in Nature, and then I can feel a little relief; heart palpitations, heart pain, exhaustion. Having spent several decades in office type environments or running my own business with the required computers, printers, cell phones etc., I need to now limit my time to only one hour here and there, so it makes it extremely difficult running a business. Proven specifics: 1) I had to spend 5 days down in Virginia Beach at a conference end of May 2026 and felt very frazzled most of the time down there. Four days after my return, I ended up in ER with my blood pressure being around 210/115, with heart pain and palpitations, when I had never ever had any heart issues and all prior tests had shown I had a strong heart. The same thing repeated itself a week later, by waking up in the middle of the night 2:30am, with more intense symptoms requiring a rescue squad trip to the ER again. For the past 6 years, every time I drive to Virginia Beach for business reason, the intensity of all the 5G towers and surveillance cameras on every lamp post, etc., has given me chest pains, palpitations and feeling very fragile. 2) We have a lovely sunny porch look-out onto a park. The RF (measured with a TriField meter) used to be around 00019 -.014 mW/m2 outside, and now around that amount inside our home - .014 - .018 (this being BEHIND the metal mesh screens). But now outside on the porch – as they installed a 5G tower visible at a high level across the park about a mile away – the level fluctuates between 7.8 – 11.5 mW/m2 so now makes it totally impossible to sit outside on the porch ever without feeling zapped. I could give many other examples, but these two stand out. The ONLY way I can now survive this onslaught in general life - whilst still experiencing the symptoms above all the time - is to have a SafeSleeve rf PROTECTION cover around my iPhone, an Aires pendant around my neck, several other products that have cost too much money to try out, and now trying RF material inlays in clothing. This is not a way to live, and not everyone can escape to the woods to survive or purchase these products. I TRULY APPRECIATE WHATEVER YOU CAN DO TO CONSIDERABLY REDUCE THE CURRENT FREQUENCY LEVELS, AND DEFINITELY NOT INCREASE TO 6G - IT IS NOT NECESSARY. Thank you sincerely.
