Describes progressive wireless sensitivity after networking work, repeated relocations, migraines and los…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am Daniel Vasku, a Dutch citizen, trained in media and image technology, with a lifelong love for technology. After moving to New Zealand I helped organise festivals and events, doing everything from my smartphone, with me 24-7. While setting up wireless networks and video systems for these festivals, I built a mesh network at a rural venue out of consumer Linksys routers. One day, after hours configuring a stack of four active routers, I felt a strange spastic tingling in my right arm, the one nearest the stack. Over the following summer I developed persistent nose congestion, brain fog, painful joints and fatigue. I assumed it was hay fever, but it made no sense that the symptoms lasted for months while we travelled to completely different places. The turning point came in Golden Bay NZ, at the home of a friend who had deliberately restricted his Wi-Fi. While he explained this, I realised that every time I switched my phone on, I felt a brief stabbing pain in my brain. Minutes later the sting returned, and my girlfriend had just powered her phone on. That confirmation made me take the possibility seriously. For the next two or three years I stayed skeptical, but the pattern held: whenever my phone and Wi-Fi were off and I avoided close exposure, I felt much better. In a shared home where Wi-Fi was kept off except when needed, I repeatedly told housemates it was on when they were sure it wasn't, and I was always right. I learned to trust the specific head pressure that came with wireless signals. A few years ago I visited family in Europe, and my condition worsened dramatically: relentless headaches, growing joint pain, visible decline. Eventually I could no longer function, and a friend urged me back to New Zealand. In a small, reception-free valley in Auckland I recovered almost immediately. So I bought my first meter, a Cornet. In a room where everything was powered down, it revealed a pulsing signal coming from my Apple Pencil, whose Bluetooth pulses around the clock. After boxing it up outside the room, I slept that night, for the first time in ages, without the head pressure that so often became a full migraine. With renewed energy I started a sauerkraut business at a Sunday market. It went well, but every market day was followed by a migraine, and recovery grew from one day to two, three, then a full week of pain. When the owner of a new venue told me a cell tower was going on the roof with strong indoor repeaters, I realised I had to quit. When savings ran out, I moved to a rural community in the Coromandel. There, with almost no cell reception, my health picked up tremendously. But my sensitivity kept increasing. One or two hours in town cost me severe headaches the next day. I tried shielding: first a silver-coated veil, which helped, then a full radiation suit from China made of stainless steel and cotton, which let me shop without next-day migraines, at the cost of looking odd, overheating badly in sunlight, and sensitivity to AC electric fields. Even that was not enough. People using a phone in a neighbouring room triggered headaches before I even saw the device, and I was always right. I began carrying my meter constantly as an alarm system, because by the time I felt pain it was already too late. About five years ago my condition worsened again despite shielding. My meter showed levels higher than before, and the timing coincided with the switch-on of 5G in the town. I found a new community in Golden Bay in the South Island, verified it with more sensitive equipment like the Safe & Sound ProII, which registers the far lower levels at which I now react, and moved there. Today I can function outdoors with a clear head and no pain. But I can visit town only briefly once a week, still paying one or two days of migraine even with the suit, and I live in near-total social isolation, a hard adjustment for a social person. And with all pervasive wireless radiation, it's difficult to access healthcare. I am de facto an EMF refugee. An example: a friend came for tea and swore he had left his phone in the car. Within minutes I became nauseous and started stuttering. My meter found active AirPods in his pocket emitting about 16,000 microwatts per square metre. In ten minutes, from two metres away, they cost me my train of thought. I am desperately looking for an EMF sanctuary where I can function as a human being among people who keep wireless off. In the meantime I have helped many others with similar symptoms, using calibrated meters to find and eliminate sources, and it is clear that this problem is growing. I am deeply troubled by what this means for children, and for humans, animals, plants and insects. We are gambling with the future of humanity in what may be the most irresponsible open-air experiment ever undertaken. The more people learn about Electromagnetic Radiation Syndrome, the more will recognise their own unexplained suffering in it.

Reports headaches and dizziness beginning with school Wi-Fi exposure, describes a mother’s severe EHS and…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this response as an individual consumer. Question 3 In 2005, when I was about 11 years old, Wi-Fi was installed in my school in every classroom. Laptop computers with Wi-Fi became a frequent used part of the lessons. This became my first experience of illness symptoms from RF/EMF. Today, more than 20 years later, I can still experience same type of symptoms near RF/EMF sources like Wi-Fi routeres, cell towers and mobile phones downloading/uploading data. My primary symptom is a peculiar type of headache. It feels as though a small balloon is slowly being inflated inside my head. It is very different from a headache caused by a fever. It may be accompanied by sudden, intense but brief pain at a random, small spot inside my head. This feels like a small, sharp nail is being hammered into my skull. My other symptoms are slight dizziness and a feeling of exhaustion in the brain - different from when I am naturally sleepy in the evening. Symptoms can appear less than 10 minutes after exposure has begun. After exposure has end, some of the symptoms subside within as little as 2-3 minutes. They generally disappear completely within an hour. However, this may vary depending on the intensity and duration of exposure, etc. My doctor cannot help me with treatment for the condition. I do not suffer from any other medical conditions that could cause these symptoms. In addition, I generally have a very low stress level. My mother consider herself to be suffering from electro hyper sensitivity (EHS) in severe degree. During exposure from RF/EMF she experiences symptoms like mine, and, in addition, other symptoms. I believe she is affected about 5 times more severely than I am. Last year, an acquaintance of mine sent me a copy of a scientific article - “Elektrohypersensitivity as a Newly Identified and Characterized Neurologic Pathological Disorder: How to Diagnose, Treat and Prevent It” – by Dominique Belpomme and Philippe Irigaray, Published in International Journal of Molecular Sciences, 11 March 2020. The PDF file is 16,4 MB in size and cannot be attached here, but it can be read at [https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/21/6/1915]. The content of the article might explain my characteristic symptoms during exposure from RF/EMF. In section 5 – “Radiological identification of cerebral neurovascular abnormalities” – reduced blood flow in parts of the brain, observed in self-reporting EHS-patients, is described. Here are a few excerpts from it: “(…) In fact, as indicated in Table 7, by using transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TDU) in patients with EHS, we showed a decrease in the mean pulsatility index in one or both middle cerebral arteries, i.e., for one artery in 25% and 31% of the cases respectively for the right and left artery, and for both arteries in 50%. (...)” [page 8 of 20] “(…) Moreover, by using ultrasonic cerebral tomosphygmography (UCTS) applied to the temporal lobes [12], we showed there is a significant decrease in mean pulsometric index in the middle cerebral artery-dependent tissue areas of these lobes, especially in the capsulo-thalamic area, which corresponds to the limbic system and the thalamus [12]. (...)” [page 9 of 20] My hypothesis, as a layperson, could be that RF/EMF exposure leads to a further reduction in blood flow to parts of the brain at EHS-patients, and this causes the symptoms described above. Reports suspected sensitivity and headaches while acknowledging uncertainty, raises cancer concerns and r…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
There has NOT been adequate safety testing for immediate or long term use/exposure to EMFs and wireless radiation. Like everything else, these things can affect people differently. I personally think I am sensitive to it and suffer from headaches way more often than I should. I don't know what's causing it but I have to wonder if EMFs buzzing through and around us all day is healthy. We act like it's normal. It's not. Our ancestors never experienced stuff like this. We're all dropping dead form cancer... why? We can't just put all this stuff out without ever properly testing it in humans and expect that it's fine. There is plenty of anecdotal data that says people get brain tumors on the side their cell phone is one and women get breast cancer when they used to put their phone in their bra. Something is definitely happening and it's not HEALTHY. Please do proper research and then do some more. Don't be afraid to roll things back. Tell people to get hard wired systems in their homes. So many people are suffering without knowing the causes, health is very desired, people WILL make changes to feel better.

There is an Electrohypersensitivity facebook page with thousands of members. If you want to hear about the suffering of people's health that is being affected by all of the man made emf radiation. Thanks for including the public but I do feel the request for info should have been more broadly advertised.

Argues that existing RF standards are supported by evidence and that behavioral phone risks deserve prior…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
The biggest known risks from cellphones is distracted driving and the negative impact on physical and mental health from being sedentary and increased social isolation. These risks are not caused by the RF from the device, and funding for research on RF should not distract from the need to address the fundamental needs for good exercise, social connections, and mental health. HHS / NIH should prioritize gaining a holistic understanding of individuals who attribute adverse health effects to RF. This should be done in-depth and by researchers who are independent and agnostic about any single potential cause. This should be done to get an understand of this cohort. If seeking to investigate RF, a pilot study should be done to match individuals with controls with similar backgrounds - but exposed to different levels of RF. There may be individuals who are subject to a significant amount of RF in there workplace that may serve as good controls for high exposure. HHS should be mindful that many individuals concerned with RF are vulnerable and may be targets for fraudsters who are preying on them to offer "RF safety" and promoting their false pay-for-credentials and "expert" designations by prominent but dubious RF safety organizations. The current evidence and large studies strongly suggest that FCC's current RF standards are safe. However, the financial risks from anxiety over RF are real from buying useless fraud products and services, to extremes of quitting jobs and moving. HHS should not empower the fraudsters with statements that are not based on strong, gold standard science. Bad science is "fishing expeditions" where random chance in a subgroup lead to a conclusion -- Type 1 errors are not 0%, studies are typically powered to 5% for the PRIMARY endpoint, false positive conclusions for sub-upon-sub-analysis and poorly designed studies are higher. HHS should identify where there are gaps to investigate, but be clear to concerned individuals that the solutions are free - use a wired connection, turn-off electronics when not in use, use a landline - but there is currently NO evidence that any of these actions are needed. HHS should review information from real-experts at national and international organizations, they are open-minded and science driven: https://www.icnirp.org/en/publications/index.html Gaps in Knowledge Relevant ...for Limiting Exposure to Time-Varying Electric, Magnetic and Electromagnetic Fields WHO research agenda for RF https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789241599948 https://non-ionizing.ncrponline.org/ https://non-ionizing.ncrponline.org/get-the-facts/ https://non-ionizing.ncrponline.org/research-studies/ The weight of evidence does not support a link between cellphone use and brain tumors. “The available scientific evidence does not indicate an increased risk of malignant or benign brain or central nervous system (CNS) tumors from cell phone use [Karipidis 2024, Karipidis 2025].” • Living near cellphone towers is not shown to cause health concerns. “Research does not suggest that RF exposure to individuals living near cell phone towers causes adverse health effects….Public exposure levels from cell towers are typically thousands of times below the FCC exposure limits.” • 5G exposure levels will be the same or lower than older generations. “The higher frequency millimeter waves (mmW) that can be used in 5G networks penetrate less into buildings and your body. Thus, in that respect, exposure levels are expected to be lower.” • Studies have not confirmed EMF hypersensitivity. [Bodewein 2022; Danker-Hopfe 2020b; Huang 2020; Schmiedchen 2019; Bosch-Capblanch 2024]. • Studies have not found convincing evidence of RF impacts on pregnant mothers or their fetuses. “A few studies have looked at the effect of RF exposure on the health of pregnant women and fetuses, assessing outcomes such as miscarriage, preterm birth, or birth defects. Overall, these studies did not find convincing evidence of adverse effects when exposure was below established public safety standards.” • Studies have not found convincing evidence of increased risk of cancers in children at typical exposure levels.“ Several epidemiologic studies have examined childhood leukemia in relation to proximity to cell phone (and other RF) transmitters, and overall, they have not found convincing evidence of increased risk at typical environmental exposure levels….Two case-control studies [Aydin 2012, Castaño-Vinyals 2022] of cell phone use and brain tumors in children have found no clear increase in risk by the amount of use of cell phones.”

Reports severe electromagnetic hypersensitivity, expresses concern for children’s long-term exposure and …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am EHS [electromagnetic hypersensitive] and am severely affected by electromagnetic radiation (EMR). I am also deeply worried about the future of my children, who have been immersed in harmful "electrosmog" since childhood. We urgently need to raise awareness about these dangers and lower exposure thresholds as soon as possible—before we find ourselves facing an unfolding genocide, at which point it will be too late to take any action. Some genetic mutations are already irreversible

Center for Electrosmog Prevention describes its advocacy work, cites broad health and ecological concerns…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Center for Electrosmog Prevention, a 501c3 nonprofit, was established in La Mesa, California in May, 2011, with a mission to promote the general public health by providing advocacy and education, information, and solutions regarding electrosmog, a manmade form of electromagnetic pollution. EMF's (electromagnetic fields), RF (radiofrequency) radiation (in the microwave and millimeter wave range in particular), and rf radiation from a wide range of wireless devices such as cell phones, smart utility meters, baby monitors, wifi, Bluetooth, and a multitude of others now being marketed to the unsuspecting public are a major health hazard documented by tens of thousands of research studies. These dangers to health include - but are not limited to - multiple forms of cancer (including glioblastoma), immunological, and inflammatory effects - in numerous studies linked to the development of Alzheimers and autism, damage to DNA, and infertility. The industries profiting off wireless technologies have been very influential in vigorously denying health hazards at most governmental and major health organization levels, worldwide, much as the tobacco industry has defended its marketing of a toxic product over the decades. Meanwhile, cancers are on the rise - including those that can be linked to cell phone use - as well as Alzheimers and autism, and many people (it is said to be 1-2% at least) are becoming hypersensitive (electrosensitive) to rf radiation, causing them to be unable to function at schools, workplaces, and even in their own homes due to the proliferation of these hazardous devices. Despite a multitude of evidence pointing to toxic exposures at even very low levels, the US government and its regulatory FCC, CDC, and HHS, often headed up by or influenced by lobbyists for the tech industry for decades, has exposed the unsuspecting general public to extremely high levels of EMF's. "In the USA, the FCC guidelines make it currently legal to allow RF radiation levels at 10 000 000 µW/m2, which is 10,000,000,000,000 (ten trillion) times higher than than the upper natural background levels we evolved to tolerate" (https://www.electrosmogprevention.org/smart-meter-resources-links/safety-guidelines-for-rf-exposure/). Center for Electrosmog Prevention's website at www.electrosmogprevention.org is a repository of thousands of articles and links to scientific research studies concerning the hazards of rf radiation exposure. It has links to other extensive repositories of scientific articles concerning these health hazards at https://www.saferemr.com/, https://bioinitiative.org/. and http://ehtrust.org/, to name but a few. It is time to acknowledge the risks, at the very least, and the harms being perpetrated on the public health, and greatly reduce exposures to rf radiation in our homes, schools, workplaces, vehicles, modes of transportation, and all public places. We commend this request for information on EMFs, Rf radiation, and wireless radiation exposure, though long overdue.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Following the installation of 5G antennas in 2021 on the roof of a neighboring building : Mid-February 2024, strange headaches appear, with a runny nose. My histamine level high, which is a characteristic marker of intolerance to electromagnetic waves. I take metro line 3 and inside the carriage, my legs are suddenly electrified. I could no longer walk. My legs had become as if on fire. Mid-June 2024, still inside the carriage of line 3 in the metro, this time the entire body is electrified, at Saint-Lazare station in Paris. Mid-August 2024, a new neighbor with a 5 Ghz router, and my face and my entire body began to burn. An association advised me to take shelter in my cellar. Luckily I had one, to escape the burning sensations. I am in possession of three medical certificates that I can send to you personally upon your request: • The first certifying my intolerance to electromagnetic waves from August 26, 2024. • Medical certificate from September 9, 2024, diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy at Henri-Mondor Hospital. Reason for the examination: investigation of neuropathy in the presence of pain like electric shocks and stabbing sensations, initially in the lower limbs then diffuse, onset in February 2024 at the same time as intolerance to electromagnetic fields. Physiology and functional exploration department, at Henri-Mondor University Hospital Center. • Another, certifying my EHS, electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome, on On July 24, 2026

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have been burned by my cell phone. I developed a sensitivity to radiation after. Cell towers, SMART Meter Banks, industrial routers, and other wireless technology, together are very dangerous. Children have developing bones and brains. Most schools have cell phone towers. Many fire departments also have towers. The laws protecting citizens are very old. We are in a different time where the old laws are not relevant to modern digital technology. Blood, brain and bone cancers will increase. If this technology can penetrate brick buildings it can penetrate bones. Please consider updating the health and safety regulations for wireless technology. Before we continue to advance in science and technology, please ensure the health and wellbeing of people and wildlife are not in jeopardy.
