ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have already had to move 3 times due to radiowave sickness. Once from Riversode, CA in 2020 and again from Somis, CA (southern California which is extremely cell tower). I moved to a rural portion of Northern California, Grass Valley, and again I am being threatened by the proposed cell tower on Dog Bar Rd that is currently being fought in federal court. Under the current rules, the county has no ability to object to cell towers. Guidelines which were set in the 1990s. Remember what the phones looked like in the 90s with the antennas and no internet? Those guidelines are as antiquated as those phones. When I had to return to Southern California for a couple of weeks, I had a rash on my entire upper body from radiofrequency exposure. I also get headaches and chest pain. Also, the microwave radiation penetrates much further into children's skulls that adult's skulls. In other areas of life, we set the exposure limits at a level that will protect pregnant women and children. Why should this be any different? China requires pregnant women to wear radiofrequency shielding belly bands and Russia has limits on how much minors should use cell phones daily. What is that saying when Russia and China care more about protecting their citizens than we do?

As a mother I advocate for safer tech habits, including using speakerphone and wired headphones, keeping wireless devices away from one self and my children's bodies when practical, turning Wi-fi off when not in use and utilizing direct hard wire connection when feasible. Therefore I believe there should be more regulations and studies to limit this radio frequency exposure, mothers should not have to choose between benefits of modernized tech and the health of ones children.

Reports debilitating household symptoms coinciding with 5G rollout, work loss and children's sleep issues…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
In early 2021, both adults in my household began experiencing a mysterious raft of ongoing and debilitating health problems with no obvious cause. We experienced chaotic changes in blood pressure, dizziness and brain fog, chronic fatigue, loss of control over muscle tension, unrestorative sleep, memory problems, lack of focus, and persistent feelings of doom. Most mysteriously, our symptoms would resolve when temporarily relocating to remote areas, but we were in no position to make any such move permanent. After experiencing such severe and prolonged symptoms that I was no longer able to work---after over a decade providing my family's primary income---I spent my available energy seeking medical help to try to understand the cause of all our troubles. After two years, I made a series of shocking discoveries: (1) that our symptoms strongly matched those of sufferers of microwave syndrome, discovered decades before, but paid little attention by the medical profession; (2) that the time our symptoms appeared coincided with the rollout of 5G networks in our community; (3) that researchers all over the world had connected reports of similar suffering to the deployment of 5G networks; and most terribly, (4) that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission had pointedly ignored this research, even in defiance of federal court orders that they give it due consideration. When I became a licensed amateur radio operator as a child, I was taught that the FCC maintained evidence-based radio frequency exposure standards to protect public health and welfare while facilitating effective communications. Recent events have made clear that the FCC no longer maintains either expertise or interest in the first of these goals, while its close relationships with telecommunications companies have compromised even its ability to follow the most basic directives of the law. With the massive increase in radio frequency exposures now pervading our country, it is clear that protecting people and other organisms from electromagnetic pollution should become primary responsibilities of the agencies charged with caring for human health and the environment, HHS and EPA. Today my children suffer concerning sleep disruptions that make me worry for their healthy development---yet another characteristic sign of microwave syndrome. I have tried to find a way to measure the electromagnetic pollution where we live, but I found that equipment able to distinguish individual sources of radiation at 5G frequencies costs tens of thousands of dollars. We may ultimately be forced to uproot ourselves from our community---our families, friends, schools, and remaining source of income---in order to find a place where we can be safe and fully alive once more. It devastates me to think how our government has failed us and so many other families in the single-minded pursuit of technological advancement at all costs, ignoring the scientific process that has allowed our society to manage progress in the past. For your reference, I am attaching below two scientific publications representative of hundreds more in their respective categories. The first is a case report documenting the clear association between 5G station deployment and debilitating microwave syndrome symptoms in the two adults of another household in Sweden, beginning also in 2021. The second is a review article documenting that the FCC's current exposure limits are based on wishful assumptions rather than consideration of scientific evidence. These are but two samples from a vast scientific literature that has been sidelined in the rush to deploy faster and faster wireless networks. I call on HHS to take charge of a new, scientifically honest program to reevaluate and regulate environmental exposure to man-made electromagnetic radiation. For every American who experiences an added convenience shaving seconds off a gigabyte mobile download, there is one suffering in silence whose life has been shattered by a poisonous force they cannot even see.

Reports head discomfort after smart-meter installation, raises concern about school Wi-Fi, and advocates …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of an advocate and concerned member of the public. I am in shock at the seeming endless explosion of cell towers and WIFI being everywhere. Perhaps this is why even though I am a robustly healthy person who eats organic food, exercises, drinks only water, and practices a healthy lifestyle, my head feels bad every day. This never happened before a smart meter was put on our house. Why are WIFI routers allowed in schools where children go every day. Their skulls are thinner, and their brains are developing. We should have ethernet cables in all schools, in offices, in hospitals, and homes. Wifi comes with a lot of hazards and HHS needs to look into this. Please don't trust any research from the organizations that are creating the EMF and EMR hazards. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

Raises concerns about children's daily radiation exposure and alleged aerial spraying contaminating water…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am very concerned with the amount of radiation that our bodies and our children’s bodies are being exposed to everyday! It can NOT be safe or healthy. We wonder why Americans are the sickest they have ever been. Needs to be looked at along with spraying chemicals in our sky!!!! It is falling into our water and soil as well.

Requests measurement and disclosure of low-frequency fields from displays, particularly during children's…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
HHS should treat low-frequency magnetic emissions from televisions and monitors as an exposure, children's programming first. RF limits rest on heating, specific absorption rate, and power density. They do not describe image-driven magnetic pulses in the band that overlaps the electroencephalogram. A set can meet a heating limit and still emit them. Airborne-speaker limits below 20 Hz answer a different question: magnetic fields pass through tissue and do not depend on a speaker cutoff. The source is the display and its electronics, driven by ordinary programs. The field comes from image-intensity changes, power circuitry, and, on older tubes, deflection. Meet the Teletubbies (1:01:43): a soundtrack spectrogram from 0 to 100 Hz, aligned with the picture, showed intermittent and at times dense energy below 50 Hz and below 20 Hz. The strongest sustained cluster below 20 Hz was near minutes 51-54, in insert and outdoor segments. The study does not establish intent or a neurological effect. It is a case for measuring the magnetic field at the set, not only the audio file. FCC RF rules and the IEEE and ICNIRP guidelines center on heating, SAR, and power density. A pulsed field near 1/2 Hz, 2.4 Hz, or the 6-20 Hz calcium window is a different quantity. Public Notice FCC 74-78, 44 FCC 2d 1016 (Jan. 24, 1974), at 47 CFR 73.4250, calls subliminal broadcasts contrary to the public interest whether or not they work, because they are meant to deceive. That covers a hidden message, not a measurement of the receiver's field. 5(n)-(p). Measure time-resolved flux density at stated distances so picture-locked pulses show, and disclose it first for children's programs. Nothing routine asks whether program and display together make pulses in the lab and patent bands. A spectrogram or a heating calculation will not. Sort by frequency, field strength, modulation, pulse pattern, and duty cycle. Distance, daily hours, and years of viewing are what accumulate. SAR and power density miss the field. Adey circle, excised brain, not a child watching television. In chick and cat cerebral tissue, a weak electric sine at 6 and 16 Hz cut calcium efflux about 12-15% in a narrow amplitude window; neighboring frequencies and amplitudes did not. A review put the ELF window near 6-20 Hz and about 10-100 V/m. Carriers at 147 and 450 MHz, amplitude-modulated at 6-20 Hz, raised chick-brain calcium efflux about 15% near 1 mW/cm2; unmodulated carriers did not. The low-frequency pattern was treated as active, too weak to heat tissue by a tenth of a degree. Bawin and Adey, PNAS 1976;73(6):1999-2003. Adey, Radio Science 1982;17(5S):149S-157S. Rat hippocampal slices, 1 Hz sine: 56 and 560 uT rms destabilized intervals of rhythmic slow activity; 5.6 uT did not. The paper ties that rhythm to memory in the slice, not to mood or sleep stage. Bawin et al., Bioelectromagnetics 1996;17(5):388-395. Loos patents claim weak stimuli at resonances near 1/2 Hz (relaxation, sleepiness, autonomic sensations) and near 2.4 Hz (slower counting, eyes closed). U.S. 6,506,148 B2 (Jan. 14, 2003) claims pulsed images on monitors and TV tubes emit weak fields that can excite them, embedded in a program or at an intensity the patent calls subliminal. Also U.S. 5,935,054 (1999), 6,091,994 (2000), and 6,238,333 B1 (2001). A patent is an inventor's claim, not a replication. No current standard tests that display path. https://patents.google.com/patent/US6506148B2 Viewing studies do not isolate a field. JAMA Pediatrics 2024: early program viewing and poorer cognition, r = -0.16 (95% CI -0.24 to -0.08), PMID 39102255. JAMA Pediatrics 2019 (Adelantado-Renau et al.): TV viewing and composite academics, effect size -0.19 (95% CI -0.29 to -0.09), plus language and mathematics, PMID 31545344. Observational and multifactorial (content, sleep, household). They justify measuring the field that travels with the program. They do not prove an electromagnetic cause. Disclosure for parents, schools, childcare, clinicians, and local governments: frequency content, pulse pattern, typical and peak flux density, and picture-lock, comparable across sets. An RF heating statement is not that. Children do not consent and cannot detect the field, and the associations above are in children and adolescents. An adult heating limit does not score a repeated childhood exposure. Publish the triaxial time series at the seat for children's programs, including Teletubbies. Test 6,506,148-type pulsing and Adey-window fields on a pre-registered endpoint, and report a null if that is the result. Say whether equipment authorization already discloses the emission. FDA can require the measurement under 21 CFR subpart J; receivers are electronic products. NIH should separate content from the field. CDC needs a metric other than hours of screen time. Until the data exist, tell parents and schools that the set's field during these programs has not been characterized in these terms.

A parent and health-information professional objects to involuntary wireless exposure, especially in scho…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
October 21, 2026 I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I’m an experienced health information management professional – a certified clinical coding specialist and medical transcriptionist – and a parent of two young children, and I have grave concerns about the harmful health effects of compulsory and/or undisclosed microwave radiation exposure on a largely uninformed, un-consenting, and unprotected population of United States citizens. With more and more biologically hazardous cell towers, small cell equipment, and smart meters being forced on United States citizens (often against their wishes) and with public schools now enforcing the use of wireless devices in every classroom, and the daily, up-close, compulsory exposure of vulnerable schoolchildren to wireless infrastructure (“WiFi”) health risks all day while held in captivity by order of the state; soon there may be no place left for anyone to hide from the dangerous cumulative effects of so many unchecked layers of microwave radiation. Without the benefit of appropriately serious health warnings provided by the government institutions we trust to protect our citizens, most people don’t even question the safety of wireless devices at all! How many of you know of a teenager who sleeps with a cell phone on her pillow, resting directly against her brain all night long? How many times have you seen a drooling baby in the shopping cart, keeping quiet with a tablet’s microwave radiation warming his private parts - or teething with A CELL PHONE IN HIS MOUTH? I once witnessed every single pregnant woman in the waiting room at my OB/GYN doctor’s passing the time innocently holding a cell phone pulsing with invisible radiation directly over her pregnant belly - likely without any clue she is causing harmful microwaves to penetrate the delicate cells and organs of her precious baby developing inside. One of these mothers-to-be stood up when called and placed the biologically interactive cell phone inside the belly pocket of her hoodie, pressed right up against her baby growing inside. The woman sitting next to me was nursing a tiny new baby, while casually scrolling on a cell phone that was resting directly on her infant’s head! Most often when I speak up, these uninformed mothers tell me they had no idea there was any harmful “radiation” coming out of their wireless device, and they thank me for telling them. WHY ARE THERE NO CLEAR AND OBVIOUS HEALTH WARNINGS BEING ISSUED BY THE COMPANIES THAT SELL THESE DEVICES, OR FROM AGENCIES ENTRUSTED TO PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH?” Sadly, my experience is that school administrators, teachers, parents, and people in general are typically not even aware that “WiFi” is microwave radiation! Well-meaning people in charge of keeping schools, hospitals, office buildings, and other spaces safe - who make crucial decisions that affect people’s safety, on behalf of the public, all seem to be under a false impression that the science is settled, and that “WiFi” (whatever that means) is a completely harmless, unquestionably safe, and necessary part of life now. Meanwhile citizens are being forced and coerced into absorbing wifi radiation from “mandatory” smart meters in their own homes, and now even wired landline phone connections are being phased out in favor of wireless tech – leaving those of us who are concerned about the known health risks from wireless radiation becoming more and more terrorized by the prospect of a future where there is nowhere left to hide from the EMF, RF, and Wireless Radiation exposures being forced upon us.
