The commenter reports severe migraines during prolonged occupational cordless-phone use, improvement afte…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Dear Officials, I am writing to submit my personal testimony regarding the adverse health effects I have experienced, which I believe are closely associated with prolonged radiofrequency (RF) radiation exposure and urban electromagnetic field (EMF) environments. Part 1: Occupational Exposure and Neurological Symptoms For approximately 5 years, I worked in a medical office where my duties required me to hold a cordless phone to my ear for 3 to 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Due to strict patient privacy regulations, I could not use the speakerphone function. During this period, I began suffering from severe, debilitating migraines, occurring 1 to 2 times per month. The pain consistently originated from the area just above my right ear and irradiated across the trigeminal, orbital, temporomandibular, and cervical regions. The pain felt as though it emanated from either the area above the ear or from the top-central part of my head. It was strictly unilateral (affecting only the right side). These episodes were accompanied by intense "electric shock" sensations that spread across my entire cervical fascia, lasting for about 4 days. During these crises, the pain caused severe gastric distress, making it impossible to eat or move. Relief was only achieved by lying in a completely dark and silent room, pressing the affected eye against a warm pillow. Mild massages or heat applied to the top of my head provided slight, a temporary light comfort. In terms of medical management, paracetamol offered minor relief only after 5 to 6 hours, without resolving the electric shock sensations. Conversely, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), specifically nimesulide, consistently alleviated the pain and the electric shocks within 20 to 30 minutes. Part 2: Cessation of Exposure and Symptom Resolution After approximately 7 years, I left that employment, which completely terminated my daily, prolonged use of the telephone. While I maintain a mobile phone, I strictly avoid placing it near my head. I rarely make calls, and when necessary, I use a tubeless airtube headset or utilize the speakerphone function, keeping the device at a distance of at least 50 to 60 centimeters. Within 12 months of terminating that occupation and changing my wireless habits, the severe migraines began to subside significantly. I do not take other medications, I do not smoke, and I maintain a very balanced, healthy diet and a calm lifestyle. Through careful observation, I have ruled out other potential lifestyle or medical variables. Part 3: Environmental Sensitivity and Urban Re-exposure Over the past 15 years, I have observed a consistent, repeating pattern regarding my environment. Every August, I reside in a secluded coastal and mountainous area characterized by a very low density of routers, low vehicular traffic, GPS tracker, and low population density. In this environment, my physical health completely regenerates, and I experience high levels of physical energy. However, upon returning to the large city where I currently reside, I experience an immediate and severe physical decline from the very first day. The sensation is described as a persistent, distressing "burning" feeling in the brain, accompanied by a constant state of neurological tension, alert, and over-stimulation that prevents any real rest. This systemic stress causes gastric burning and profound fatigue, rendering me unable to perform simple daily tasks. Upon my return to the city this year, I suffered a continuous 9-day migraine crisis. My systematic observations over fifteen years confirm that a isolated, low-EMF environment restores my health, whereas the high-density urban environment consistently causes exhaustion and severe pain. I urge federal health and communications agencies to thoroughly investigate the biological mechanisms underlying these exposure patterns, to acknowledge the reality of environmental sensitivities, and to implement protective standards, particularly regarding long-term occupational exposure and CEM/radiation density. Sincerely.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Please research the connection between mold toxicity and mycotoxins with electromagnetic frequency. My daughter was extremely sensitive to EMF after she was exposed to a moldy building for 5 days and tested high for mycotoxins in her body. There seems to be a strong connection between the two.

The commenter criticizes outdated exposure guidelines, calls for independent research on children, older …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
The federal guidelines that are used to determine the safety limits for exposure to wireless radiation are decades old and have not kept pace with the rapid expansion of wireless technology or the growing body of scientific research raising concerns about its effects on human health and the environment.  We must have more independent and rigorous transparent research for wireless radiation- particularly in populations such as children and the elderly.  Most of the outlined research was done 10-15 years ago- which is outdated especially since the phones and the internet have ramped up their radiation outputs. But looking at what has been already researched, I found one study which shows DNA strand damage from "industry accepted radiation levels".  https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31138035/ There has been previous research into how EMF disrupts the immune system. I am concerned about this. More research is needed. I myself get severe headaches due to my sensitivity to the electromagnetic radiation.  I avoid staying near cell towers because of these headaches. When not near the towers,  I am headache free.   Thank you for finally looking into more up-to-date research so that others can also benefit.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a person who has dealt with multiple health issues due to environmental toxicities. I don't know the extent to which EMFs have affected me. I don't know the extent it may continue to impair already challenging health concerns. And that is the point. There is simply not enough information about how something so new to human interaction how these levels/types of radiation are affecting us. And until that is properly understood, guard rails need to be put on the expansion of these energies and protections from what is already here. Until we know for sure, it is your responsibility to know how dangerous this technology is--to protect the people who rely on you to do so. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

The commenter disputes biological harm from ordinary electromagnetic applications based on energy levels …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Do you actually have any scientists on this board or just administration lackeys? Anyone with even a basic understanding of physics knows that the energy we use for normal EM applications doesn't have the energy to do anything to atoms or cells. I am appalled that HHS doesn't have even a college sophomore who could explain all of this shit to you. Stop it.

The commenter discusses a conference study linking carrying phones below the waist with early-onset color…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
It is strongly suspected that regularly carrying a cell phone in one's back pocket results in colon cancer because of the radiation associated with your cell phone constantly checking for the closest cell tower when the phone is on. You would think the cell phone companies would only start checking for the closest tower when you make a call. See study below. Colon and rectal cancers – often called colorectal cancers – are the third most common cancers and the second leading cause of deaths from cancer across the globe.1 While they are usually found in older people, younger people have been increasingly affected over recent decades. Recently researchers suggested that this might have something to do with where people carry their mobile phones. In a paper presented at the 36th Annual Conference of the International Society of Environmental Epidemiology, De Kun Li reported the results of a study he and his team conducted on 100 volunteers. In it, he looked at the link between carrying a mobile phone below the waist and people’s risks of colorectal cancer.2 The results showed a clear association. People with the most hours of carrying mobile phones below their waists had over four times the risk of early onset colorectal cancer compared to people with the least hours. People who carried their mobile phones on the same side of their body on which their tumour was located had over 12 times the risk of early onset colorectal cancer. By contrast, people who carried their mobile phones on the opposite side of the body from the tumour had just over one and a half times the risk of early onset colorectal cancer. ‘A longer duration of cellphone carrying below the waist is associated with an increased risk of EOCRC [early onset colorectal cancer],’ the researchers said. They pointed out that carrying a mobile phone in a pocket causes ‘extensive exposure’ of the colon and rectum to radiofrequency radiation. How could this affect the body? The authors say that epithelial cells of the intestine are extremely sensitive to this radiation. For years, researchers have been advising men not to carry mobile phones in their pockets to avoid irradiating their testes, given the harmful effects of mobile phone radiation on sperm. The current study suggests this may be good advice – and not just for protecting men’s sperm. ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
EMF and RF dangers are scientifically documented. There are a lot of health issues that get ignored as the general public tends to not be concerned about what they can't see. You, as an organization, have the ability to view all the studies. More importantly, you have the ability to do something about it. Please move to action to protect the people of America. Thank you.

1996 is a long time ago, you need to do serious testing and include testing from other western country’s in your results. There have been many studies over several years and all seem to indicate a serious health concern. Stop talking to and taking money from lobbiests and update the actual science behind it. No 6G until the results are confirmed, considered and included in a national congressional document and voted on in the people’s health and best interest. Also, consideration of the property values that are decimated by having a cell tower in your area. You have to ask why they won’t put one next to schools or fire stations?!

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. We need to stop the suppression of the truth about wireless and EMFs. Our bodies are electrical and ARE impacted by EMFs. We need to investigate and let people know what is happening. I am responding from the perspective of a individual and a wellness coach.
