Electromagnetic sensitivity

Day "Smart Meter" hooked up to my house hands paralyzed. Peripheral Neuropathy since then. Treating symptoms since. Diagnosed EMF sensitive. While working in garden near meter, neck radiation burned. They don't tell you not to spend time around meter.

Please do extensive research on 5g radiation. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I have relatives who can literally feel the radiation from some of the higher frequency fields. In any case the induction of 5G has not had anywhere near sufficient research done before it was released on the public, and is being driven by corporate greed as usual. I'm all for corporate greed as long as it doesn't harm the general population. 5G could definitely be doing that.

I've been sensitive to high-voltage power lines for as long as I can remember. I've noticed mild headache pressure from home Wi-Fi and it's alleviation upon turning the Wi-Fi off. (I've tested this many times) During power outages I've noticed my body can relax more. Cell Phones have caused tissue pain when in my pocket. EMF contact obviously affects tissue based on all these occurrences.

This comment comes from a previously licensed master electrician who has been hired to solve problems associated with EMF/EMR. sensitivity. Never knew of the issue until contacted to solve a problem for people in an apartment complex with problems sleeping. Long story short headboard walls which were common in all units had a magnetic field measured by a gauss meter which was much higher than is naturally occuring. SInce then have found many issues with EMFs, RF, and dirty electricity affecting my health and I believe the health of the general public. Truthfully I believe the ever increasing amount of RF from satellites, cell towers, cell phones electronic devices are having a detrimental effect on all of us and the natural state of the planet. Look at the state of weather around the globe, the ever decreasing state of well being of everyone, we most likely won't figure it out until its too late. God help us. Because the people who could are willfully ignorant for various reasons.

It is hard to comment when I am sitting in from of a computer, an EMF producer! I am very sensitive to cell phones, cell towers, wifi, lithium batteries high tension wires and MUCH more. While in the presence of a strong cell phone, I cannot think, speak or exert normally. If I am exposed for very long, I will be totally wiped out for a day or more afterwards. I am living at the far edge of town on almost an acre with nothing. behind it. I stay here because going out exposes me to cell phones, smart cars. high tension wires, cell towers and other EMF devices. The current high EMF environment has seriously handicapped me and caused me to be primarily bound to my own property, which is not perfect but so much better than going anywhere else. It has basically stopped my social life. My husband does all the shopping. I am severely restricted in where I can go. This has gotten exponentially worse from the time we returned from a Bangladesh assignment in 2013.

About 5 years ago I had significant numb and tingling in my hands after sitting with my phone in my hands for some time. I wondered if it was the phone. I ordered a Safe Sleeve to block radiation and it made a significant difference! Had same sensation laying in bed in my hands/arms and feet/legs. Got filters for the outlets next to the bed and sensation lessened. January this year I moved in to my husbands house, we got married this past February. By April I felt like I was dying from EMF exposure. He has smart meters, router is in TV room. I can't sit in the chair in that room any more as I feel the EMF's. Not only the tingling but it feels like I have a hand pressing on my upper chest 99% of the time. We got a grounding bed sheet that helped for a while but now I'm back to square one. I can't do much without getting out of breath. My mind is not as sharp as it normally is. I can't live like this and I'm working on getting products to help block EMF's but they are costly. I'm an anal health nut and for me to feel this terrible is devastating to me at age 72. My 2021 Subaru Crosstreck has 35 computers in it. I feel the "hand on my chest" when I'm in the car. It wasn't that noticeable until I had issues from living in this house. I'm hoping my husband will call ComEd to have the smart meter changed back to the old meter. It's right next to the stove and in line with the chair I used to sit in every evening. The numb tingling often keeps me awake at night. EMF's are a real problem, especially for sensitive people like me. It also causes many other health problems. I know of people whose doctors can't find anything wrong with them. I'd bet my life it's EMF's!!!

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a member of the public who has been adversely impacted by the reckless use of the technologies protected by the Telecommunications Act of 1996. I strongly support HHS taking an active role in examining the health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. I was adversely affected by wireless radiation when I moved into an apartment without knowing that there was a cell antennae across the street, beaming into my new bedroom. My nervous system was so badly affected by the constant stimulation, I could not sleep and had to move out. I now live in an apartment where I cannot sleep in the bedroom because the electrical fields are in the red zone (as measured by a building biologist). I sleep in the living room and use the bedroom as a giant closet. You might say “just move out.” But this is the most affordable place I can find. My friend is very sensitive to wireless radiation and now lives in a barn on a farm outside of town because that is the only way he can reduce his exposure so he can sleep. It would be a miracle if HHS took this seriously and started to protect the people and wildlife by raising public awareness of the reality of wireless radiation. There is already ample evidence, based on thousands of scientific studies that have already been done. You don’t need to re-invent the wheel. Just evaluate the research that has already been done. I appreciate the opportunity to share my comments. I have followed the format of your questions. 2: I am responding as an individual injured by RF/EMF. Additionally, my spouse has been severely injured by RF/EMF. 3a: As to my history with RF/EMF…As a requirement of my job, I was an early adopter of cell phones. I also worked in an office environment with wi-fi. I lived in a house with a smart meter until we had it removed in 2011. 3b: I was exposed daily to wireless radiation at work and at home with a smart meter. 3c: As a result of holding a cell phone to my head in the late 1990s, I developed a brain tumor right behind my right ear – exactly where I held my cell phone to my head. Fortunately, it continues to be benign, however it was growing so rabidly that I needed radiation treatment to slow its growth. It is stable now but must be regularly monitored. This is the only health effect that has manifested for me, however it is unknown what other injuries I may have that have not yet been detected. 3d: My brain tumor was discovered in 2000. I immediately stopped holding a cell phone to my head and only used it when absolutely necessary. 3e: I saw multiple neurosurgeons and had many diagnostic tests. My diagnosis was confirmed of meningioma. I have to have MRIs every 2 years now to monitor the tumor. The Mayo clinic sites radiation exposure as a potential cause for this type of tumor. Is it a coincidence that on that spot on my head where I held my phone is where my tumor grew? 3f: I stopped holding a phone to my head and also greatly reduced the usage of cellular phones. Also, with my spouses’ EHS, we removed all the sources of EMF in our house. My tumor has been stable for over 20 years, but because of my injury – I have the ongoing expense of monitoring it. With regard to recommendations to HHS, I would share the following: - Regulate the amount of radiation/power that mobile phones can emit - Update the standards for “safe” exposure. The current FCC SAR limits are ridiculously outdated and the science has been proven that they are not sufficient - Enforce better notification to the public about the hazards of wireless radiation from all sources (wi-fi, phones, smart meters, smart watches, IoT devices, bluetooth devices, etc.) I have included some studies that support the science that RF / EMF causes cell disruption that can lead to tumors

I live in a small Canadian town that did not have 5G. Suddenly the 5G icon appeared on my work issued phone and I knew that it had been activated here without any warning or consultations. I grabbed my Safe and Sound 2 meter and went out and found the small cell located on a telephone pole at the end of street. The readings on my meter were in the "Extreme" range which means you should immediately leave the area. My house is about 150 ft from the small cell which is located between 2 residential homes, one of which has young children. I took a picture of it and sent it to my city council office. They didn't even know what it was or who it belonged to. After a 2 week investigation, they reported back that it was the property of a local internet provider Rogers Communications. Next, a neighbour contacted me to ask about a truck with a 50 foot antenna that was parked in front of my house while I was at work. This turned out to be a test being run by the Canadian Federal Government Communications Research Centre to "check levels". My house is about 150 ft from the small cell which is located between 2 residential homes, one of which has young children. The fact that the residents and city councilman were not even made aware that these small cells were being installed is outrageous. He said it's because telecommunications are under the Federal Government's responsibility. One of the homes beside it is now up for sale and the 2 homes beside That have already sold. It does seem odd that 3 homes in a row would all sell at the same time but now I'm speculating. I do everything I can to protect myself from the well known health hazards of EMF. That could have been installed outside me bedroom window and I would have had no say. This is deplorable! This technology and infrastructure is very dangerous and does not benefit those who have to live in its vicinity. It benefits corporations and the government while harming us. I am sensitive to EMF and would have had to move if they had installed next to me. The fact that the residents had no warning and were not given any opportunity to speak out is shameful government overreach especially when we know that safe levels of exposure have not even been established or properly tested for health. Profit over people is unacceptable and needs to be stopped.

I have noticed for many years that using a phone next to my face would cause pressure and discomfort in my head. I would often need to switch ears to be comfortable. In recent years, my sensitivity increased to the point that I would have tingling and significant brain fog with the use of laptops and phones. I placed a radiation phone case on my phone . I also could feel the different between using my laptop that I had placed a radiation reduction sticker on versus a laptop that did not. I would get weak, fatigued, and nervous system symptoms. I often felt pressure in my head and chest. Before I made the connection, I had made a few trips to the ER.
