Elöverkänsligas Riksförbund (Swedish Association for the Electrohypersensitive), a national Swedish disability rights organization, hereby submits the attached response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure, Docket No. HHS-OASH-2026-0397. Our submission presents experiences reported by people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), Swedish public health information, and recommendations concerning exposure limits, public health surveillance, accessibility, and further research. Thanks for soliciting input for this important matter. As a writer and researcher, I have looked into the health effects of EMF on human health for many years. The FCC and HHS in my opinion have not done nearly enough work to ascertain the health effects on human populations. The pervasive increases in the power levels and scope of EMF radiation are likely responsible for many medical problems but overall this remains poorly documented. In addition, there needs to be far more research done on this issue and more acknowledgement of the research that has been done to date such as the WHO’s identification of EMF as a possible carcinogen. I sincerely hope both the FCC and HHS will update very outdated health standards about the use of 5G technology to reflect the current research and place far less emphasis on research that has been sponsored by the wireless industry.

I‘m a Swiss National, currently living in Canada. After having worked for the Swiss government from 1995 to 2003 in embassies & consulates abroad (one of them was the Consulate General in Los Angeles, from 1997-1999), I have become a victim & survivor of EMF, directed energy weapons, torture since 2011. This needs to stop immediately!!!

I think cell phones need to be banned. All they do is put out EMF radiation after years and years and years of having these stupid things I think we need to all go back to Landlines and answering machines. The kids have lost all social skills there’s headaches my son even stays up all night long and he’s 13 because he’s addicted to the thing. And then can’t get him up in the morning to go to school because of lack of sleep. He complains of headaches he complains of his eyes hurting, and I tell him is the white light on the cell phones. He sleeps with that thing by his head and there’s been a lot of articles about brain cancer and using your phones where it’s under 30% all it does is put out radiation. They need to be banned. They need to not be allowed in school and I know the schools are saying they have band the Esco the kids are still sneaking out their backpacks and using them my son tells me stories about it just like the vaping someone needs to do something about vaping at school that needs to stop cause they’re doing it in the bathroom.

EMF has had a very adverse affect on my body, particularly after "smart meter" was added to my home without my knowledge. The meter is on a wall adjacent to my living room, and I'm unable to spend a lot of time in my living room because of it. There is constant pain in my right shoulder and I suffer with digestive issues that are related to EMF exposure. Sleep deprivation is also a problem I have that's related to EMF exposure. Sometimes what is deemed as progress is detrimental to the biological and physiological nature of the human race. EMF is one of those things and it's forcing people to live off-grid.

I have been affected by living in a house with black mold. along with living within less than half a mile from a 5G Tower .03 mil from my house in Decatur, Illinois. They also had installed a "Smart wireless meter" in the room I was in. Now I am Electro-Sensitive for 20 years, progressively getting worse over a 20 year span. I currently have to live outside the cities and towns, and away from cell towers and without electricity. It's very difficult to survive. Every day is a fight for my life and I cannot stay inside the cities for very long periods at a time. It makes surviving and living more difficult and has not been easy to deal with this way of life. For 4 years I have lived outside of the cities and towns, completely. Before that I was still inside the city while my symptoms continued to get worse. I currently am in the forest and mountains. This has not been easy to find a solution to or heal from, i have tried many different things, but not much has worked. It continues to be the biggest challenge I have faced, having severe symptoms associated with EMF's and Microwaves, Electric & Magnetic fields. I do not have much help and every day is a struggle. I am responding from the perspective of a [patient, parent, family member, caregiver, healthcare professional, researcher, advocate, concerned member of the public, or other]. PERSONALIZE YOUR COMMENT HERE: Tell HHS how wireless radiation has affected you, your child, your family, or someone you care about. You may describe the source and duration of the exposure, health effects experienced, when they began, whether reducing exposure made a difference, and how these experiences have affected daily life. If you are an ally, describe why you support people affected by wireless radiation and why you believe HHS should address this issue. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.
