ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have EMF and RF sensitivity that cause me crippling fatigue, head pressure, tinnitus that is unbearable at times, and severe brain fog. Since moving across the street from a 5G tower, my quality of life has been deteriorating and I am continuing to get sicker. The symptoms have intensified since a smart meter was installed in my apartment several months ago. This is no way to live.

Reports genital and abdominal pain, fertility concerns, digestive problems and fatigue during device use.…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
1. Perspective represented I am submitting this response in my personal capacity as an individual consumer and as a person who considers themselves affected by exposure to electromagnetic fields and radiofrequency radiation. I live in France and am therefore providing an international perspective. Although this Request for Information is primarily directed toward the United States, the experiences of people who report being affected by electromagnetic fields are not confined to one country. I therefore believe that international personal testimonies may also contribute useful information to this consultation. I am participating in order to share my experience and concerns and to contribute to a broader understanding of the issues reported by individuals in their daily lives. 2. My comments represent the perspective of an individual consumer with personal concerns regarding exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. I am responding in my personal capacity and not on behalf of any organization. 3. Personal experience regarding potential adverse health effects associated with RF/EMF exposure I am submitting this response based on my personal experience. I have experienced a number of health problems that I believe may be associated with exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF/EMFs), particularly during or following periods of exposure to electronic and wireless devices. The health effects I have experienced include: genital pain; fertility problems; abdominal pain; pain in the kidney area; rapid onset of fatigue when working in front of a computer screen; significant intestinal discomfort and inflammation; excessive intestinal gas and bloating; diarrhea. These symptoms have had a tangible impact on my daily life. In particular, I notice that I can become fatigued very quickly when I remain in front of a computer screen. I am sharing these observations as my personal experience. I believe that such individual testimonies should be considered alongside scientific and medical evidence when assessing the potential health effects of RF/EMF exposure. I am submitting this testimony from France. I believe it is important for this consultation to take into consideration that people outside the United States also report health concerns that they associate with exposure to electromagnetic fields. The RF/EMF sources involved in my experience include Wi-Fi, mobile phones and mobile network signals, Bluetooth, and other wireless devices. I also experience rapid fatigue during prolonged computer use, although I cannot determine whether this particular symptom is related to RF/EMF exposure or to another aspect of computer use. My exposure to RF/EMFs occurs mainly in my daily environment through Wi-Fi, mobile phones, mobile network signals, computers connected to wireless networks, Bluetooth, and other wireless devices. These exposures occur regularly in everyday life, particularly when I use a computer or other connected devices. I have noticed that prolonged computer use is associated, in my experience, with a rapid onset of fatigue. The duration and intensity of exposure vary depending on the situation and the devices being used. Because RF/EMF sources are frequently present in my daily environment, it is difficult for me to precisely quantify my cumulative exposure. I am reporting these circumstances based on my personal observations and do not claim that I can independently determine the precise level of RF/EMF exposure. The potential adverse health effects I have personally experienced include: genital pain; fertility problems; abdominal pain; pain in the kidney area; intestinal inflammation and digestive discomfort; excessive intestinal gas and bloating; diarrhea; rapid onset of fatigue, particularly during prolonged computer use. These symptoms vary in nature and intensity. I am reporting them as health effects that I have personally experienced and that I believe may be associated with my exposure to RF/EMFs. I am not claiming that I can independently establish a medical causal relationship between RF/EMF exposure and each of these symptoms. I have noticed that certain symptoms can appear during the use of a mobile phone or laptop computer. In particular, I experience genital pain and abdominal pain while using these devices. I have also experienced increased intestinal gas (flatulence) and bloating during periods of use. These observations have led me to suspect a possible association between these symptoms and my exposure during the use of these devices. I am reporting this as my personal experience and observation, and I am not claiming that I can independently establish a medical causal relationship between RF/EMF exposure and these symptoms. I sought medical evaluation for some of the health problems described in this response. Biological laboratory testing identified a medical condition that could account

Opposes a proposed tower near home, citing doctors’ concerns for a disabled mother and potential effects …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My name is Andy Hinson. A 199-foot cell tower has been proposed to be sited near to my home and property in the North Carolina Piedmont. My disabled mother, who resides with me, has received letters from multiple doctors, including her personal care practitioner and her neurologist, asking that the tower be sited at a different location to prevent debilitating harm. One of the letters stated that the emissions from the base station could ultimately prove fatal to my mother. My property shelters an abundance of unusual flora and fauna, including Federally Endangered species. I have received letters and studies from multiple countries around the world stating the impacts to sensitive ecosystems, which include direct mortality in plants. Drastic decline is documented in pollinating insects, which could also affect crop production. Disruptive effects on bats have been documented by Dr. Paul Racey and Dr. Oliver Lindecke. Two deaths this year in NC are attributed to West Nile Virus (of 11 reported cases in 2026) and bats are natural predators of disease vector mosquitoes. New Hampshire House Bill 1644 recommended telecommunications antennas be 1,640 feet from residentially zoned areas. Particularly sensitive individuals such as my mother may require a greater separation, such as a minimum 2000 ft setback. ADA accommodation should be given to the sick and sensitive, and in extreme cases (such as doctor letters stating potentially fatal impacts) towers should be sited at least this distance. Cell towers should not be sited where Federally Endangered species are documented to be present. Avian collisions and other biological impacts may be lessened by required co-location of antennas on existing towers within a 2-3 mile area minimum. With cell phones people have at least some scant margin of choice, but with cell towers there is none. Agencies have long ignored biological impacts to humans under the excuse that studies on non-human subjects cannot be directly correlated. Perversely, there is no regulation to protect any non-human species, despite the vast scientific evidence. At cellular frequencies in experiments, ants have shown disorientation, relocation, weakened olfactory and visual memory, altered locomotion, and colony deterioration. Adaptation to electromagnetic exposure was observed to be impossible. A UNESCO report by Australia botanist Mark Broomhall observed startling and rapid species declines at Mt. Nardi of the Australian Nightcap Range. By his estimates, 70-90% of the wildlife has become rare or disappeared altogether, which he originally attributed to climate change. But the species declines were too sudden and too localized. Eventually he came to understand that the cell tower complex atop Mt. Nardi was affecting the wildlife for a radius of 2-3 km. This explanation became inescapable when there was a sudden return of multiple species over a three day period, in what he described as a "festival of birds". Heartbreakingly, after these three remarkable days, the biological explosion ended and the species again deserted the area. These three days were the three days that the cell towers were turned off for maintenance. Various studies have recorded the exodus of species from cell tower sites. Extensive studies were conducted in Kafue National Park in Zambia, finding a “significant decrease in the counts of birds across the EMR gradient” and “The site with the least electromagnetic pollution had the highest mean count of birds”, as well as “significant higher mean counts of abandoned tree cavity nests in proximate to the phone mast.” Also, the “site with the least electromagnetic pollution had the highest mean count of insects.” The study concludes that “the effects of EMR could be the dominant predictor of distribution of terrestrial birds and insects”. Electromagnetic radiation of mobile telecommunication antennas affects the abundance and composition of wild pollinators. Studies conducted on two separate Mediterranean islands measured electromagnetic radiation at 4 distances (50, 100, 200 and 400 m) from 10 antennas (5 on Limnos Island and 5 on Lesvos Island) concluded: “Pollinators and their host plants constitute pollination networks. Although the architecture of these mutualistic networks can increase the capacity of pollinator populations to persist under harsh conditions, once a tipping point in human-induced environmental change is reached, pollinator populations may collapse simultaneously. Therefore, these changes in the composition of pollinator communities associated with electromagnetic smog may have important ecological and economic impacts on the pollination service that could significantly affect the maintenance of wild plant diversity, crop production and human welfare.”

Reports EMF/RF hypersensitivity after serious infections and autoimmune illness, with migraines, vertigo …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I developed a strong EMF and RF hypersensitivity 2.5 years ago after becoming severely ill with late-stage Lyme disease, Babesia, Bartonella and other co-infections. I later found out I also have Autoimmune Encephalitis and Hashimoto’s Thyroid. I get a bad migraine and vertigo when driving past cell towers or a radio station. I limit my time on a cell phone/computer or start to get dizzy and migraine, as well. I think radiation, in general, contributed to my Hashimoto's thyroid that developed within the last few years, as well. I feel a "buzzing" sensation around my neck/chest when I'm on an electronic device. We turn our WiFi off at night because I can feel my thyroid or thymus gland buzzing while I'm trying to sleep, otherwise. Based on my own experience and from talking to other people with similar health issues, I've concluded that EMF's, WiFi, and 5G are hard on people with diseases of the central nervous system and immune compromised individuals, in general. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and wouldn't mind going back to a simpler time without Smartphones or WiFi. No one wants or needs 5G or 6G, for that matter! Thank you for allowing this opportunity for public comment.
